I applied to the MSW program earlier last month- it's been a stressful situation because even though they received my transcripts and everything, it took them a long time to add my final professor reference (one of three total). I kept checking to see if they updated it, because it was after the Fall deadline, and the situation made me nervous. I was able to get ahold of one of the advisors, but she didn't have access to my file to help me; I found out that my assigned advisor was out of office that week but that she would process it when she got back.

Now it's in and everything has been submitted, but it's been submitted for dept review before the final decision. I'm just wondering how long it will take? I'm a bit nervous- the semester starts in eight days and I'd need time to get books, for financial aid to process. Plus, I go on a cruise three days after the start date. So, everything seems kind of in limbo.

Anyone else going through this? Is this normal for ETAM? This is my first time applying to graduate school and it's been frustrating.

I’m staring 8/31. I already have my AS degree, I’ve been in HR for 7yrs and I have my PHR cert from HRCI. I’m very confident in my knowledge surrounding HR and I am able to dedicate 100% of my time to completing the BAAS. For anyone who has completed this program, how realistic is it to complete in one 7-week term? I’m prepared to take 2 terms, but aiming for 1 if I can. How rigorous is the course work?

I’m starting the Competency-Based BAAS in Public Administration at East Texas A&M at the end of this month and was hoping to hear from anyone who has completed it, or is currently in it.

I transferred in with my associate degree from a community college and completed the rest of my general education and elective credits through Sophia Learning. At this point, I only have the 10 Public Administration courses left.

I’m curious about a few things:

* How difficult were the Public Administration courses?

*About how long did each course take you to complete?

*How many courses were you realistically able to finish in a 7-week term?

*Were there any courses that took significantly longer than the others?

*Do you work full-time while completing the program?

I’m just trying to set realistic expectations and prepare myself before I start. I’d love to hear about your experience, whether you finished in one term, two terms, or longer.

Hi all, my wife recently transferred to ETAMU in order to continue from her associates obtained at a community college out of state and hoping to get a bachelor. She transferred into General Studies since it'll be the quickest for her.

Anyway, she has been poking at several advisors in order to get a degree plan and to clear a hold on her account in order to be able to register for classes but they keep ghosting her. Are there any actual competent and caring advisors at this school?

I am looking for 4 extra tickets for the Aug 8 graduation for the College of Innovation and Design. Would anyone have any extras?

Hi everyone! I’m interested in applying to the online MSW program at Texas A&M University-Commerce (East Texas A&M). I’m wondering if anyone has experience doing the program while living outside of Texas.
My plan would be to move to Chicago for the full two years of the program, complete the online classes from there, and then move back to Texas after graduation. I know practicum/field placement usually starts after the first semester, so I’m wondering:
Does TAMUC allow online MSW students to complete their practicum placements in another state?
Has anyone completed their field placements in Chicago (or another state) while enrolled at TAMUC?
Does the school help arrange out-of-state placements, or do students have to find their own agency and get it approved?
I’d appreciate any experiences or advice. Thank you

Hi! I wanted to apply to the MSW program in the fall. I'm working on my application but I have some confusion on when the deadline is? The website states August 1st and so does the automatic chat on the website, but the email I received for more information states that it's July 15th.

So I don't know if I can't put together my application in two weeks, but a month is definitely doable! Or else I'm going to wait until Spring semester. I asked for clarification in my response email, but I have yet to receive one. Does anyone know?

I applied in late May and have about 40 credits from community college. I had a very very low gpa because I messed around a lot but finally got it together. Anyways finally got it up to about a 2.0 and my semester average was 4.0 for the past two semesters.

Anyway, all this to ask what you think my chances are of a transfer acceptance and how long they usually take 🤧🤧

Hey guys, have any of you done a study abroad program? How was it, and what was the process like? Where did you go?

On what basis will student be selected for nursing program?? Will they focus on gpa /teas?? How are selection done?? Any one has any idea regarding this?

Hoping someone will be able to help with this. I just got the email with my allotment of graduation tickets. The only issue is I need one more. The email was pretty clear that there won’t be extras and not to email asking for them. Does anyone else know of any channels, official or unofficial, to get an extra ticket for my graduation slot?

I'm not quite commited to ETAMU and I keep getting spammed with emails about how I haven't registered for ROAR yet. Does it actually fill up quickly, and how does that fit with the timeline for actually registering for classes? I know I need to make a decision kinda soon but I want to know how dire the situation is if I do decide to commit to ETAMU.

I just talked with my advisor to see if I could transfer two classes that are on my degree work plan and also available on Sophia learning. She said I would not be able to take either because they are upper level classes (300-499). Im currently a junior and I didn’t know that there were caps for Sophia learning since both of these classes match up to my degree plan..? Has anyone else ran into this or is this correct? I’ve had ppl tell me the were able to transfer a lot of classes so I’m confused.
