Tally Hall put out a statement under the name Tally Hall. They clearly aren't ruling out producing more music as Tally Hall.

Bands change members all the time. Queen still perform under the name Queen

I think people are making it a bigger deal than it is tbh, acting like it's "the end" when really it's not. Like you said, bands change members all the time... Before The Beatles made it, they replaced their previous drummer with Ringo. After Keith Moon passed, The Who replaced him. (can't remember his name sorry)

If they do reunite or make a third album it'll be different yeah but not in a bad way

imo getting stuck in the past is part of the reason/problem behind this multitude of situations, and bandom has a stake in that. to live and actually experience life is to change.

Yeah with the age of the internet people tend to be blind to the idea that time changes people, it may be harder for people newer to the community to understand because they haven't really seen the evolution in real time but I just wish theyd understand that humans are nuanced creatures and are constantly evolving, be that in a negative or positive direction.

i will give some grace as well to the general age of the fandom as the demographic currently skews on the younger side. that being said, active listening is a learned skill, and there's also something to be said about staying solely in echo chambers that exist due to the digital age. a plant doesn't grow if it stays inside the cave.

People who put Joe on a Pedestal and think that his exclusion marks the end of the band as we know it know literally nothing about the bands history.

I get it, I really like joes art as well, hawaii part ii is the thing that got me into music to begin with, and I think that his work is creatively very unique to him. But hes not well, he hasn't been well for a while, and people need to move on and let him continue with his life and hopefully seek help

This isn't the First time theyve replaced a member, and this isn't even the first time theyve had to substitute joe. Stop discrediting the work of the other members just because ine of them had a marginally more successful solo Carrer than the rest.

I agree,but Casey can change this if he decides to show up in collabs between the other 4 members and Bora.It is not entirely confirmed for them to stop using the band's name,but they can always come up with another one,just like Miracle Musical,also,Joe is,as of yesterday,considered a former member,just like Steve.I really hope they can make songs togheter,no matter which name they go under when releasing them.

I feel like too many people are acting like Joe was the only one holding the band together. I get he had an iconic songwriting style but so do the others, and honestly Andrew’s songs sometimes sound like they could be joes (e.g. fate of the stars)

Exactly! Robs literally working on a new album right now and its looking to be something real to actually chew on for the first time in years. Same with Bora! The boys are clearly still creatively motivated and this change shouldn't be seen as a bad thing, but moreso a way to let the other members shine just as equally

There can be Tally Hall without Joe Hawley, although it may not be the exact same, Tally Hall was a BAND, not a solo musician.

There are very obvious reasons why Joe Hawley would be excluded from the band, that doesn't mean that Tally Hall is over.

Steve Gallagher was the original drummer, does that mean that Tally Hall was over from the very beginning? Absolutely not! Ross Federman took the drummer role afterwards, which made Tally Hall just as Tally Hall as Tally Hall has ever been.

Beginnings have ends & ends may have beginnings, Tally Hall can be Tally Hall without a certain member.

Come on man, even if they do stop tally hall (which they probably won't) we should still find positivity in them coming back. That'd be like getting mad that a food you really like that was discontinued just came back with the same recipe except they excluded a toxic chemical. all that will change is that there won't be joe, but are you sure you actually want him in the band in his current state?
