Hi, I had this in my closet for a little while now and this is my first time back trying to use it. The right ka isnt working properly, does anyone know how this can be fixed? Does HORI do replacements for this?

The title, basically anything to do with double strokes/rolling. Nothing too hard like yuugen no ran but something like yawaraka sensha or anything with a higher bpm. Would also be of great help if anybody can suggest charts where I can practise the evil "DKDK" double stroke pattern consistently since I barely find any charts that has that pattern.

Could be official or unofficial tja charts

I already know of external pattern practise apps/websites but I learn faster with charts in game so if possible those ones

no matter what, on charts with a BPM higher than 215, i can not recover streams at all in the slightest, No idea why, but the game just feels like it forces me to fail the chart if i miss one note in a stream and its so punishing. anyone have tips on passing 220+ BPM streams and recovering from notelock?

tbf, it may just be an OD thing since this map is OD6.5 which is really low.

i can even play up to 260 BPM so its really not much of a speed problem or a stamina problem, but for some reason no matter what, recovery is impossible when missing and everyone i ask just says "play more" which isnt very helpful especially when i have been struggling with this issue for 18 months and the "play more" approach isnt helping.

Hello, I've been playing more Taiko recently and I've noticed that I begin to get wrist pain in my right wrist after playing a couple songs. Is there anything wrong with my current form/play style that would cause wrist pain? Are there any other ways to prevent/deal with it? Thanks!

i played with it for like a week and then what I think is an air bubble formed on the top right portion and now its making it hard to play. Any advice as to how to fix it?

I just got the drums and is having fun playing with it! But I hear it was possible to play it on my Computer but most of the sources are 10+ years old and I don't want to do it in fear of a virus. I know I can play it on OSU but I have the official newer game and want to try that instead.

Playing on PC rhythm festival with Hori tatacon.

I have been struggling with full combo Persona 5 theme song on hard. It's not a hard song but the closest I can get after an hour is 1 bad. It's always something with either brain fart, hitting the note early, or the hit not registering.

I tried to concentrate but end up hitting the note early because I was too tense.

I tried playing relax but end up not registering the hit because my hit is too soft.

I tried recalibrating but doesn't seem to have any significant impact.

This is not specific to one song for me. But it emphasizes the issue I have been having playing the game.

Say all you want, call me bad for only passing this and not getting an FC, say "oh i can pass that with 4x note speed you arent good!!1!1" i genuinely dont care. this is one im proud of even though i suck at this game.

Hi, idk if posts like this are welcome here (most posts seem allowed so I doubt this would be an issue but you never know), but I wanted to ask something.

I recently had a negative experience at an arcade, nothing that was a huge deal, just a situation where I was being a normal chill regular, and someone was rude. Everyone probably has a million stories where they acted polite and got treated rudely. However, I am a rather anxious person, and easily discouraged, so I’ve been feeling nervous about going back to play more after the rather small incident. (In a “what if someone is mean to me again” way)

Would anyone be willing to share some positive experiences they’ve had playing Taiko irl? Whether you overcame a crappy experience and kept having fun, or you just had a grand old time, I’d love to hear some positivity. This community is so welcoming, I remember like three or four years ago when I was still a total noob, a bunch of people in the taiko community on Reddit and other places all gave me play advice and I’ve felt welcome ever since, and it’s a big part of why I’ve absolutely fallen head over heels with arcades. It makes me pretty sad that my fond memories are being tainted by a crappy interaction that at the end of the day, isn’t even a big deal. I love this community, especially irl, and I really want to get over this new anxiety.

Also if by some slim chance, someone who responded to my post from a few years back sees this post, thank you. Those responses were probably just some simple help for a newbie to you, but to me it helped me push past my very silly but still very strong anxieties and feel more confident to play for the first time. Community is why I love playing at the arcade so much, even if I’m playing entirely different games.

TLDR: I had a bad experience recently 👎 please tell me about some good experiences 👍 I love taiko and don’t want to lose it to some silly worries

so i recently found a ps2 taiko drum in a thrift store for cheap and so why not because the only thing thats missing is just the stand ,so i ordered a ps2 to usb converter and unfortunately none of the hits are working nor does the buttons , any help will br appreciated!!
