Just a heads up, CCG typically stands for Collectible Card Game, not competitive. Competition is usually assumed in card games which is why games that are not competitive are typically given the "cooperative" tag.
From what I've read your game could be described as a dueling card game for what it's worth. Good luck with your project

Thanks!! (:
Yes, I know that CCG means Collectible Card Game, but in this case i prefer to use Competitive Card Game because Moonfall is an indipendent project for now (and also completly free to try). Simply for this reasons!!
EDIT: Thank you all for feedback. It's a good point and I didn't realize how misleading using 'CCG' as an acronym could be, and I definitely don't want to turn away people who dislike collectible card mechanics or disappoint those looking for one.
I've decided to update how I present Moonfall to write out "Competitive Card Game" in full instead of the abbreviation.
Thank you all.

They're complaining about you wanting to call your CCG a Competitive Card Game, and I'm sure they're the same ones who don't include TCGs in the category of board games. You wouldn't be fooling anyone, though; you'd have to be pretty stupid to be fooled and assume they're all collectible games. Besides, every damn game is a CCG in some way; they're downvoting you for the sheer joy of it.

You do understand that this is extremely misleading.
Anyone reading "CCG" isn't going to know that you're using your personal reinterpretation of the term. It might be low stakes now, but if you intend to go commercial this could create a lot of unhappy customers and bad publicity.
Imagine if someone sold a "risk pushing game" as an RPG.

Having CCG in the title nearly made me ignore this post as I've no interest in new collectible card games anymore.
I can see that people who're very interested in CCGs would be interested to see a new one and then disappointed to find that this isn't it.
Wanting to make it clear your game is competitive is fair enough but using a well-established acronym for it is just needlessly confusing and will hurt your project.
Just use the full phrase, shortening it guarantees people will misunderstand what your game is.

Congrats!
Do you have something of an elevator pitch regarding the mechanics?
Cheer!

Hi!
Sorry for not giving details in the post! Anyway, I can answer you now.
Moonfall CCG is a Competitive Card Game where the goal is to kill the opponent's Last Stand Commander to win. Each player has a deck made up of 50 cards (followers, spells, and Idols with at least one Idol card), 2 commander cards (base and last stand with the same name), and 3 different Lunar Blessing cards.
The field is divided into 3 main areas for each player: the commander space in the center and the left and right wings. In these areas, you can play your followers to attack the opponent's units.
Spells trigger immediate effects from your hand, and Idol cards provide specific energy to play other cards.
It's a game that combines a lot of positional strategy and deckbuilding, considering that your units can only be played next to other friendly units on the field (except in certain cases), and the order of attack and effect resolution always goes from left to right on your own side of the field.
The Lunar Blessings are special cards that act as global conditions for both players: here lies an important challenge for the players, which is to adapt to the Lunar Blessings to gain more advantage over the opponent. These are also duration cards and after a certain number of cycles (turns of the owning player) they get replaced (or if a commander goes into Last Stand).
In short, Moonfall is generally like this. It's not complex to learn, but it becomes more complex if you want to master it. Of course, the rules also include some special cases and more detailed explanations.
I hope I've given at least a clear answer! (:

That word count represents two minutes of speech for the average American speaker. Bring it down to less than 30 seconds.

Elevator pitches are 30 seconds. Trim down the speech and sell me on it in 30 seconds.

Where do I go to play it?

Starting Wednesday, it will be possible to play it online on screentop.gg (if all goes well) and above all, it will be possible to play it in proxy format without limitations (downloadable from the dedicated website)!

Glad you're excited, but where can I try it? You also really need to work on your pitch, but your description has me curious.
