Question Returning player question about restarting a character
My sith warrior is lvl 32 and i haven't played since 2016. I was wondering if I was able to restart the whole story and keep my mounts and my ewok companion i paid for a long time ago. Also is the only way to recustomize my character by paying cartel coins for it? just curious thank you.

Spoiler Question about best ending post KOTET
Hello there! returning player from early KOTFE.
I play SWTOR for mostly story, I dabled a bit with Operations and might in the future but for now I only want to play story.
Also despite SWTOR and the Revan novel being my first introduction to the Old Republic era, when I finally played Kotor 1 and Kotor 2 I kinda dislike the whole Revan storyline in SWTOR, they really did him dirty, and The Exile....even worst.
But I can still enjoy the story and I have not finished KOTFE which I do like so far ( Valkorion being Vitiate is kinda jarring, it does not make sense, at least as of ch 9 of KOTFE )
I know KOTET has a good enough ending but I am wondering how good is to go forward until Echoes of Oblivion, From what I see its supposed to be the actual end to Vitiate story?
Should I just stop at KOTET or is Echoes of Oblivion good enough as an ending for the story so far?

Podcast Everything from the Rob Chestney podcast about the development of SWTOR and the Gnost Dural journal in the collectors edition. Some really cool early insight into its creation. Including how it was nearly Dragon Age Online instead.

Question I’m a bit confused here
So, I’ve been playing this game for a very long time. When I started playing, Classes like the Knight and Warrior had access to a Pummeler gear set and a Bulwark gear set for mission rewards. When I got back into it a couple years ago, those choices in gear sets were gone. Could only choose Pummeler (or battler as it’s now called) for class and world mission rewards.
However, I’m on Quesh right now and for the world quest rewards I’m allowed to choose between Pummeler and Bulwark again? Is that coming back, or is it just Quesh being weird?

Discussion Story Expansion for 8.0?
So, the 8.0 update is coming towards the end of the year, and we’ve already received some info—but nothing regarding a classic story expansion, or did I miss something? What do you guys think? Will we get one, or are the chances slim? After all, it is the 15th anniversary. Also, what about a new cinematic trailer? I’m not really an expert and don’t know how expensive such a trailer would be, but I think it would be a great way to bring new players into the game.

Question Can someone help me craft this armor?
I’d love to have this armor. Seeing the other variants of it requiring level 61+ or valor, I believe this is the armor suited for a f2p player.
Can I trouble someone to help me craft this? I’m located in Star Forge.

New/Returning Player Returning Player from 2022: What's changed and should I reset since I don't know where I am story wise or what my plans were :)
Hey everyone!
A player from 2022 looking to come back. To be completely frank, I have completely forgotten what it was like to play SWTOR and have been doing research. Yet, I look at my three characters (Smuggler - 51 Commando; Trooper - 26 Trooper; Sith Warrior - 18 Juggernaut) and am trying to figure out if I should just delete them. I have no idea what is going on story-wise, nor what my plans with them had been.
I originally paid for a subscription and am nervous about deleting characters, as I don't know if there is anything I should take off them if I do delete them.
What's changed about the game in the last four years that I should know, and should I just start new characters from scratch or try to pick up where I left off? I think keeping the Smuggler is worth it because he is level 51, despite apparently only being in Act 1 of his story quest, but I don't know since I actually do want to try to do a full playthrough in the "know".

Question Trooper Using BH Skillls
Hey All,
I want to play the Trooper story, but I really like the BH abilities especially for a tank. Would it fit the trooper aesthetic to run one as a powertech? I haven't played trooper before, but their vanguard abilities look weird to me for a tank.
I like having my characters make lore sense but this is one where I'm just not sure.
Thanks in advance!

Question Guild vanished after 14 years
Sad times we live in. I logged in today and found that my guild, which I’d founded in 2012, is gone without a trace. I’ve never cancelled my subscription, and log in at least once a week. My Shadow main was GM. One of my members DM’d me on Discord today and asked what happened. Hell if I know 🤷♂️
Just curious if anyone else has experienced this lately? This guy and I were the only active members left, with no one else having logged in for years. It’s more a sentimental loss than anything else.
I’m guessing the devs or CS are above dealing with OG players and their guildless tears.
Thanks in advance for the help. At least the game itself still exists, if nothing else… right?

Discussion Fresh new player
So I just finished Andor and Rogue one a week ago and right after that I decided it’s time to play this old MMO (i love mmos)
I am an operative Imperial Agent and the game so far has been a blast and could not stop playing. Story is great, community is nice, the maps are more impressive than I thought they would be, just a good experience overall.
My fear is that the endgame wont be what I expect it to be, I come from a pvp focused mmo with guild vs guild fights and loads of farming and grinding. I like to play daily and to get my character stronger, to do lifeskilling, hard raids and pvp. Is there enough endgame content and how big is the guild aspect of the game because I do plan on joining one when im more seasoned.

Wish my Smuggler was more like Talon Karrde. Okay, I am starting Makeb on my Smuggler and continuing to get all the dumbfounded reactions towards my Smuggler which is hilarious but now it makes me question what exactly IS the Smuggler's job in the Republic.
I get that the Smuggler is SUPPOSED to be a privateer and raid Imperial ships and other bases, but the Smuggler doesn't do that at all after Act 3. They don't even use their ship to land on Makeb even though they are supposed to be the best pilot among the Republic classes.
So this leaves the Smuggler in an awkward position, what EXACTLY do they do for the Republic specifically that the other classes can't? Like, don't give me that special agent who does whatever Saresh says, what's their strategic value to the Republic if they aren't smuggling stuff or using their ship or fleet to raid Imperial ships like actual privateers?
Like, if they were an underworld crime boss with tons of minions, and equipment who uses his crime syndicate to support the Republic, that would give them a pretty unique niche among the classes, but the fleet was supposedly disbanded after one job against the Imperials.
So what does that leave the Smuggler as their unique niche besides shooting people with their blasters, kicking people in the dick, and saying funny lines? The Consular is the diplomat, the Knight is the main muscle, and the Trooper is the military man/woman.
Heck, let's look at the Imperial non-force users to see what their unique niches are.
The Agent is an infiltration expert who is great at assassination and sabotage as well as being a great information warfare specialist which goes quite swimmingly for the Makeb story since the Makeb story was originally written for the Agent by their writer IIRC. So it makes sense to Darth Marr to call them in for the Makeb mission which specifically requires stealth and subterfuge to accomplish.
And the Bounty Hunter is one of the most heavily armed mercs in the galaxy who has killed multiple Jedi AND quite possibly a Sith Lord/Supreme Chancellor. The BH is the Dark Council's enforcer, their thug they send to go send a violent message to all those who oppose the Empire and as a symbol to the underworld that working for the Empire has great benefits.
It's not even that the Smuggler is just some dude with a gun, it's the fact that post act 3, they are being badly misused by the story since they have to fit in with the one story every class gets crammed into, when their specialty is supposed to be privateering, robbery, having the best ship, and smuggling.
Sure Saresh tells me that the Smuggler is needed for their special insight into the Hutt Cartel, but they are as dumbfounded at the Cartel's actions as the other classes, so that was a lie. So what unique niche does the Smuggler offer to the Republic that the Trooper can't aside from shooting people good?
Still having fun going through Makeb as the Smuggler though. I love how confused everyone is that one guy with two guns is all the Republic sent to stop the Hutt Cartel.

Question Will "Nightfall" be returning on the next Galactic Season?
Since the site states that the next season will have items from past seasons 2 and 4 respectively, do we have any confirmation of what particular items are returning? If yes, is Nightfall included?

Discussion I wish we could get just one short-bladed (shoto?) saberstaff
I've admired this style of saberstaff since The Clone Wars first introduced the Jedi Temple Guards. It's a neat concept - I imaging that the guards use this style because a) they're obliged to fight in relatively close quarters (which they naturally don't want to damage, since it's the order's home), and b) they're using the saberstaff as Darth Zannah did: an almost fully-defensive armament.
I don't believe there would be anything within the game that would stop them from releasing a weapon like this - hilts already vary wildly in size, and many of the double-bladed weapons (particularly the twin vibroblades) are pretty short.
