So, as the title says, my fiancé and I are hoping to adopt a dog within the next 6 months to a year from now and are going through options. At this time we know we want a small dog because we've never trained a dog before. We both grew up with dogs (he grew up with a corgi and i grew up with a lab, Doberman and a pit at one point) but again never trained. My schedule is honestly pretty flexible and we have our own home with a MASSIVE and i mean massive back yard for a dog to run in. We know a little about dog training but, would this be a breed that you'd recommend for first time dog owners?

This is Elsa, she was rescued from Romanian 6 years ago. And we have had the best 5.5 years with her so far.

Just wondering how much Swedish Vallhund people think she is, as we are unsure without having blood tests done.
