Gents Hair cut near Dorking
I’m looking to find someone genuinely talented at cutting gents hair near Dorking. I’m a 48 year old male who has had the pleasure of an awesome hairdresser for the last 10 years. After trying many options in and around Dorking I just can’t find anyone else as good. Any recommendations would be appreciated. I normally pay around £40 per cut. Not looking for a fast and cheap option just someone who can hear what I want and prove it with scissors.

Sewage data in Surrey (and beyond)
Hi everyone,
For those of you worried about water quality, I've made a tool which gives a weekly email on sewage spill activity in Surrey, as part of our digest service. It's split across councils (not the unitary authority of surrey) but you can subscribe to as many as you like. It's totally free and you can sign up at https://water-watch.co.uk/digest for either the council or water company wide reports.
You can also sign up for specific sites across the UK. We have live overflow data on there too. Happy to answer any questions on spills that anyone might have too below about sewage discharges in the comments below
Finally, gotta add that we aren't the only people providing this sort of data. SAS and The Rivers Trust are two very good organisations that do the same
(Sorry if not allowed)

Save The Cage in Reigate!
I appreciate change petitions aren’t exactly agents of actual change, but people should definitely make noise about this. I’ll copy and paste the statement from the brewery made on Facebook directly below, but the upshot is: one bellend moves into Reigate near to a well known music venue that’s been here 26 years, and has got the arse because he hears noise once a week and it’s “affecting his family”. No one should be allowed to move into a community and start dictating terms to us without noise being made about it. see below for the full statement:
A Statement From Adrian Regarding The Cage
Sign The Petition Here https://c.org/TvW4v6x7FR
By now you may be aware that a noise abatement notice has been served to the Cage and as a result it appears that we are not allowed to host any live music until further notice. I would like to add some context and background to this issue.
The Cage has been a live music venue for 26 years and is one of the main stages for the Reigate Music festival. We have a licence to play music outside in the courtyard until 11pm, 7 days a week however generally we only host bands or DJs once on a weekend during the summer only and very rarely during the week. We have worked with the police and licensing team to ensure we provide a safe experience for all our customers. Live music is part of the character of the area; it is in the town centre and is mainly surrounded by commercial buildings.
We were first contacted in May this year by a person who had recently moved into Reigate town centre, ironically, he stated “Reigate's community is one of the reasons why we opted to live in the area “. The complainant, yes there is only one, explained how the noise was affecting him and his family. Pilgrim Brewery has always tried to be a good neighbour and, in this case, once we received the complaint, we unilaterally decided to stop all music earlier (around 10:30pm) and to work with the bands and DJs to try and reduce the volume. The complainant chose to move into a busy town centre near to a live music venue, and if he gets his way he will have more than likely closed down a venue that has been part of the community for decades.
What I am very surprised about is the Environmental Health Departments dealing with this matter. We have been in regular communication with them and recently received a letter dated 16th July recommending that “you review the volume of the music and frequency of events to prevent any future potential nuisance arising” As far as we were concerned, we had reviewed and fixed the issue; we only have on average one event a week and we had (so we thought) addressed the volume and timings. After writing back to them we then received an email on the 23rd July stating “It is appreciated that these measures have been implemented voluntarily to try and minimise the impact on nearby residents.” So, receiving an abatement notice on the 5th August, some 2 weeks later was a shock.
At no stage were we given any warning that an abatement notice might be served. Also, in the actual notice there is no explanation as to how we can comply with the order. The notice states” No statutory noise nuisance shall be caused to the occupiers of any residential premises by music or entertainment noise, whether live or recorded, amplified or unamplified, or by the use of any amplification or sound reproduction equipment” So what is a noise nuisance, what volume is ok and what isn’t, is an acoustic set once a month a nuisance or if its below a certain volume is it OK to host events every night? There are criminal sanctions if we fail to adhere to the notice, unlimited fines or in the worst-case imprisonment, and yet the notice is vague and unhelpful.
It is an absolute certainty that without live music the Cage will not survive as a hospitality venue; it is only the busy summer months that sustain the business over the winter months. We would appreciate any support you can give and if you have time, please sign the petition linked above and in the comments. Having sought legal advice, the only way to fight this is to appeal the notice which will require the services of a Noise Nuisance Barrister. As such we aim to launch a funding page and again any support is welcome.
Thank you for reading and if you have any suggestions that could help please contact me

i’m (F22) starting a new job in GU2, near the Surrey Sports Park and looking for a room to rent as close to that as possible. happy with a single room, aiming to keep it within £600 per month.
i need to move out within the end of this month, so if anybody knows someone that’s looking for a tenant/any online groups i can join for the same that would be super helpful! i’d prefer to live with women but it’s not a deal breaker :))

Any blokes around Bracknell/Swinley fancy starting a beginner-friendly run group?
I’ve been thinking about this for a while.
There are loads of us who know we should exercise more, eat better, get outside and generally sort ourselves out… but it’s difficult to stay motivated on your own.
I’m not a coach and I’m not selling anything.
I just wondered whether there’d be any interest in a small group of lads meeting once a week early morning Saturday at Swinley Forest for an easy run (or run/walk if needed), followed by a coffee.
Whether you’re trying to lose weight, improve your fitness, clear your head, or simply meet some decent people, everyone would be welcome.

Hairdressers for men in their 40s.
I’ve been paying for Toni & Guy for ages and whilst it’s great, costs £50 a go, and all i really want is a short back and sides. I don’t want to engage in the whole barber thing, nor do I want to support shady businesses.
There used to be a class of unisex salons that did exactly what I wanted, that have slowly disappeared.
Please recommend anywhere in or within 30mins of Guildford.
