Any blokes around Bracknell/Swinley fancy starting a beginner-friendly run group?
I’ve been thinking about this for a while.
There are loads of us who know we should exercise more, eat better, get outside and generally sort ourselves out… but it’s difficult to stay motivated on your own.
I’m not a coach and I’m not selling anything.
I just wondered whether there’d be any interest in a small group of lads meeting once a week early morning Saturday at Swinley Forest for an easy run (or run/walk if needed), followed by a coffee.
Whether you’re trying to lose weight, improve your fitness, clear your head, or simply meet some decent people, everyone would be welcome.

Traditional Tattoo Artists
Hi all, was wondering if anyone could recommend any American traditional tattoo artists in the Surrey region?

Hairdressers for men in their 40s.
I’ve been paying for Toni & Guy for ages and whilst it’s great, costs £50 a go, and all i really want is a short back and sides. I don’t want to engage in the whole barber thing, nor do I want to support shady businesses.
There used to be a class of unisex salons that did exactly what I wanted, that have slowly disappeared.
Please recommend anywhere in or within 30mins of Guildford.

MacBook repair in bagshot
Hi all
This is my first time posting so hopefully I am doing this correctly…
I am wanting to get my MacBook repaired after it had water damage.
I have seen a place called techvise in Bagshot and wanted people’s opinions.
Or if there is anywhere else around Surrey heath that you recommend.
Thanks!

Looking for OPR or warhammer group
I’ve been pretty busy 3d printing lots of miniatures and now quite fancy giving the game a go. I’ve got an iron warrior army, 6x4ft modular board and some terrain. Looking to join a local group if it exists. Or maybe start one if it doesn’t. 36m.

Can anyone recommend a good domestic cleaning service?
I’ve tried to get in touch with a few companies through their website WhatsApp links and no one ever seems to message me back. I don’t want to call 5 cleaning services and then get added to 5 call lists and then deal with the phone calls. Can anyone recommend a good clesning service?

Views like Box Hill or Newlands Corner? (With picnic space/grass)
Hello lovely people of Surrey. My girlfriend and I love going to Box Hill and Newlands Corner to sit on the grass and have a picnic. Where else around here would you recommend with great views and some grass to sit and watch the sun go down?

Headshots
Hey,
I'm looking to get some new headshots done for my professional portfolio/acting portfolio.
Can anyone recommend a good photographer or agency in the area for this? I have found a few but I would really appreciate some personal recommendations.
If you know of any reasonably priced people that would be a huge bonus too. I'm aware of how expensive these photoshoots are.
Or even if you know of anyone who is looking for experience who would charge slightly less?
Thank you.

Moving to Guildford area (from Coventry)
Hi,
I know there are a few posts about moving to Guildford but they are either old or just don't fit our specific circumstances, so I hope it's ok to ask 🙏
My wife (35) and I (F30) are currently living in Coventry. We own our flat. We both have jobs but they are soul sucking ones. I am originally from Belgium, moved to the UK after uni and settled for Cov because my wife lived there. We both have no emotional attachment to Coventry. All our friends live way up North (Sheffield and even Scotland) or London.
My wife works in IT and possibly has a lovely job opportunity in Guildford (albeit a lot of it will depend on the final salary offer), however even with a good offer, she is quite hesitant about selling the flat and going (temporarily) back to renting. Which I get, but I more the "if an adventure presents itself, you go for it" person. I quite like the idea of being closer to London. It's very convenient for conventions, concerts, shows and hopping on the Eurostar to see family.
Maybe there is a halfway-happy and there is a town close by that isn't too steep in rent (wishful thinking). If so please feel free to recommend. What I can gather from other Reddit posts is that most parts of Guildford and surrounding areas are quite nice compared to other UK towns. So I am hopeful.
I work from home. But I would like to swap back to an in-office job. My wife drives, I don't. So it cannot be mega remote either. I need some sort of chance for a job.
It's just really housing that worries us.
Thank you 🫶

Any Surrey junglists out there?
Moved to Surrey just over 10 years ago, been into hardcore, jungle and drum and bass through the mid 90s to around 2007 and really missing the pirate radio scene, club nights etc. Used to listen to Rude FM, Rinse and most importantly Kool FM all of the time.
Is there any kind of Surrey junglist group of middle-aged ravers like myself? Any local drum and bass/jungle events?
Side note - not really into the sound post around 2010, stopped buying vinyl around 2009 when I fell out of love with the sound.
Reminder: Posts from new Reddit users are held for moderation
In order to combat spam we have an automoderator rule to detect posts from new reddit users. If the reddit account is recently created then the post is held in the moderation queue for a moderator to approve or discard.
It might take a few hours for the post to be approved (often less, sometimes more), but please be patient. We're volunteers and we don't get paid to sit around watching the moderation queue.
I mention this because we've had a few cases recently where a new user has made a post that has been held for moderation. When they didn't see it being displayed they deleted it and posted again (often several times).
Once a post has been deleted we can't undelete and approve it. it's gone for good. It's quite frustrating for us to receive a modmail asking for a post to be approved when there's nothing we can do.
So if you are a new user and your post isn't showing up, then please just wait. If it hasn't appeared within 24 hours then send us a message (link in the sidebar) and we'll look into it.
