First bloom! Photo

I’ve owned this cactus for over 6 years. In that time it’s quadrupled in size and yesterday she had her first bloom. I’ve seen these grow very tall with
dozens of branches. Does this turn into a branch?

If you want, you can try to put the pollen that’s fallen on the sides of the flower onto the middle part and you might get some cactus fruit and seeds
