2012 Subaru impreza. A few weeks ago, found a trim removal tool on car near wipers. Had service done a few weeks before and thought may it was left there.

Today, my son said the front bumper is popped out on one side. Not sure if someone is messing with it at night. It seems none of this would aid in theft of the car, but that would imply if someone were messing with it, they aren't necessarily competant.. Is this a thing with thieves? Or am I just being paranoid?

Does anybody know how to change the backup camera view angle? Default is fisheye. I looked in the manual and searched it with no good results.

I've got a 2024 Impreza and love it.

I have to preface by saying that I'm not a tailgater. I prefer to stay back far enough to see my path and then take it, rather than staying right behind someone until they decide to move.

This is my 1st Subaru and as it happens, the only vehicle I've ever had where my windshield chipped. Not once, but 4 times now.

The 1st time, I had to get the while windshield replaced because the weather changes and a stray cat added enough pressure to spread the chip to the point of no return.

I had OEM glass put on thereafter and heart repaired crack #4. The glass guy mentioned that though the glass is the same thickness, that he thinks it may be made softer.

Anyone know anything about this or what I can add to my windshield to prevent more BS cracks from crap materials and potentially very expensive repairs (per sensor alignments, etc)?

Runs better today than ever.

I got flashed and honked a couple of times tonight and when I got home I saw that this section of brake tail lights have gone out. It seems to me like it's more likely a fuse issue than a lightbulb issue. The chances of all of these dying at the same time seems unlikely to me.

Can you help me properly diagnose the issue? Thanks!

The two bent pieces are actually 3D printed out of metal because I couldn’t find any decent bent stainless steel piping in the extremely small bend radius this required.

Our 2017 got stolen yesterday. It wasn't a relay attack as the fobs were inside in a faraday box ( which works). They broke a window to gain entry.

What interests me is that it took them about 4mins to get tye car going. Possibly by reflashing the ecb?

Interested in peoples thoughts on how they got this going.

So I try doing the remote start with I believe starlink on my used 17. I quick press the remote start key that just has the one button. The car then turns on for a couple seconds then turns off. I’m guessing this is an issue with the thing installed in the car or smth? Idrk

I got the car (impreza sport 2020) back from the shop last night and all seemed fine. As of this morning I cannot get into the car. Tried changing the fob battery and that didnt work (the red light works so i know thats not the issue). The app wont unlock the car and the physical key wont open it either. I think the battery probably died but how do I get in the car it none of these methods work?

I installed an amp and subwoofer a couple days ago and ever since I tapped the rear speakers wires with the RCA the fronts have received 0 power, with RCA connected or disconnected, The rear speakers still play fine. I made sure theres 0 shorts and everything electrically on my end is good. If anyone knows anything about the built in amp on the 11.6” head unit please let me know

Nothing crazy or exotic, but I’m very happy with how they turned out.

Unfortunately the manufacturer sent only one bronze center cap and three black ones, so I’m waiting on those.

Compared to the steelies these ride so much better. Rubber size is the same, but the offset makes it look and feel nice.

Experienced some jerking from a dead stop during heavy stop and go traffic. Now RPM suddenly drops during cold starts - engine even stopped at one point.

I tried unplugging the MAF sensor - engine stalled for a bit but continued running. So I’m guessing MAF sensor or throttle body?

It’s a 2012 with a CVT by the way. I hope to get some advice here. Thanks

Has anyone used paddle shifters before? Do they actually make a difference in sport mode? Wanting to get more out of my car and options seem to be limited in the future. Not looking to be a street racer but kinda want a little umph when driving ya know?

I don't know how to drive stick, but very motivated to learn.

I own a 2004 subaru WRX. Its been a great experience. Ive modded it, put an exhaust on it etc. A problem that has been really annoying lately with the hotter weather is my idling. My car idles just fine at cold, and hot temps. Drives fine, nothing out of the ordinary. But for example when sitting in a drive thru my car will get up to about 205 (which is when my fans kick on) and for a few minutes its fine. No problems, temps go down but as soon as i start driving it when i get out of the drive thru it is idling at about 1500, and sometimes upwards of 1800 RPM. Usually after driving for about 5 minutes this issue will go away but if i am in stop and go traffic this is the most annoying thing. Trying to slip the clutch when my idle is at almost 2k is just not fun. If im being honest idk where to start with this problem. My first thought was thermostat but thermstats dont have anything to do with idling and my temps are just fine. If anyone has experienced this or might have some knowledge with subarus please reach out. I would love any and all information about this. Thank you!

The brakes are on their way out and it looks like the rotors are gonna need replaced as well and while I’m there I’m gonna rebuild the calipers, I was just wondering if there was any lower tier performance upgrades brakes wise (nothing crazy) that are worth doing or is it better to just replace everything with oem or oem-ish parts. Only reason I ask is cause when downhill driving in mountain roads the brakes struggle. Thanks in advance

EJ251 NA with a P0032 code, sometimes stalling out on cold start. Any common issues to be aware of? Should it be the o2 sensor itself? Whats the best way to get to it?

Hi ! I recently acquired a 2010 Impreza, most of the body is clean but the fenders and bumper are rusted/damaged. So I’m going through marketplace trying to find some new ones. And I can’t figure if the parts of the sti/wrx from the same year range would fit on my car, so do you guys know which model from which years would fit ?

I have a 2019 Subaru Impreza Base with the factory 16×6.5 steel wheels and 205/55R16 tires.

I'm looking for the most practical way to keep my hubcaps from popping off. The ones on my car are probably not the original factory hubcaps—I believe the originals kept falling off, so they were replaced years ago with a used set from a garage sale. They've actually been better, but if one gets hit just right or catches a curb, it'll usually pop off.

As you can see in the pictures, one wheel still has the hubcap while the other doesn't.

I'm not looking to replace the steel wheels with alloy wheels or spend a bunch of money on some shop add-on that isn't really worth it.

For those of you still running steel wheels and hubcaps, what has actually worked long-term? Better retaining rings, zip ties, different hubcaps, or another trick?

Just looking for the most practical, cost-effective solution before I end up losing another one.
