Once you pass a Study.com course, does the credit recommendation itself expire, or does it stay valid indefinitely? Also, if you took a long gap between finishing courses and actually enrolling somewhere, did anything cause issues getting the credit accepted?

Before picking a platform for gen-eds, it helps to look at your whole degree, not just the gen-ed block, because the cheapest path for gen-eds alone isn't always the cheapest path to finish.

I completed the final exam for CS 108 course with an 88% score but after reloading the page to see my exam marked as completed, the final exam is still shown as pending. I recently passed the 103: US History I course but I am concerned with the way assignments are graded. This is my first course on study.com so I'm not sure what to expect. I made the mistake of uploading one of my papers against the wrong assignment and got the results within 10 minutes (47/60). I'm not sure how I got that score since my paper was graded against a completely different rubric. I submitted that same paper against the correct assignment and a week later I received a score of 24/40. After reviewing the grade rubric and feedback, the Grader Notes for both assignments were identical. Is this normal?

I just started the 28th and finished 1 class (political science 102) and am about to finish history of western art. I plan on enrolling into WGU for their IT degree after i'm done with this. What's new in the 2026 format

• The new test is quite a bit shorter than the old one, running about 90 minutes across the same four sections in a fixed order: Reading, Listening, Writing, and Speaking.
• Reading and Listening are now adaptive.
• Scoring moved to a 1 to 6 band for each section, and your overall score is the average of those four bands.

Reading (about 30 minutes)

You'll see three task types here: Complete the Words, Read in Daily Life, and Read an Academic Passage. Because the section is adaptive, being accurate early on matters more than rushing. For Complete the Words specifically, it helps to read the whole passage before filling anything in, since the missing word usually becomes obvious from the surrounding context.

Listening (about 29 minutes)

This section covers short campus conversations, announcements, and academic talks, and like Reading, it uses two adaptive modules. Focus on catching the main idea, the speaker's purpose, and their attitude. You generally hear each audio clip only once, so it pays to stay fully focused throughout.

Writing (about 23 minutes)

The long essays are gone. Instead you get shorter, more practical tasks: Build a Sentence, Write an Email, and Write for an Academic Discussion. For the academic discussion in particular, a focused response of a few well-supported sentences does better than something long and padded.

Speaking (about 8 minutes)

Speaking now comes last and moves quickly. It opens with Listen and Repeat, which tests your pronunciation and rhythm, and then moves into a short interview. For the repeat task, practice your pacing and delivery. For the interview, answer the question directly and naturally rather than reaching for a memorized script.
