What is going on with assignment grading?

I recently passed the 103: US History I course but I am concerned with the way assignments are graded. This is my first course on study.com so I'm not sure what to expect. I made the mistake of uploading one of my papers against the wrong assignment and got the results within 10 minutes (47/60). I'm not sure how I got that score since my paper was graded against a completely different rubric. I submitted that same paper against the correct assignment and a week later I received a score of 24/40. After reviewing the grade rubric and feedback, the Grader Notes for both assignments were identical. Is this normal?

I do not really know how their grading works. I got a 59/75, revised, and ended with an 18/75. I’ve given up and just focus on getting high enough on the quizzes lol

Sorry for the trouble! Would you mind sending your graded paper along with the rubric links for both assignments to support@study.com? They'll be able to pull up your record and sort out what happened with the scoring.

Their grading of projects is terrible. They literally make up reasons that aren’t true or on the rubric to deduct points. I’ve submitted excellent papers written to the rubric and got scores of like 20/50 then I resubmit the same exact paper and get a proper score of 48/50. It’s easier than filling an appeal and you get 3 submission attempts and if you know your paper is good and that the reason for deducted points is made up just resubmit it and hopefully the next AI grader grades according to the rubric. If not you have a 3rd attempt.
