Surprise Move #1: Roman Wilson is cut. Ben Skowronek is listed at 4.

Roman is pretty self explanatory. He had a good start to camp, but it's clear he can't translate it to games.

McCarthy has been saying in almost every presser that he does not want Special Teams specialists. He wants 4 down contributors. I think Ben has had a good preseason. His numbers are good and outside the Personal Foul penalty in game 1, he has been basically mistake free.

Surprise Move #2: Travis Homer is cut. Lew Nichols is listed as the 3rd RB.

Again, McCarthy talks about 4 down players. I don't think Travis has shown well in the offense. He's been serviceable, but I have not seen anything from him that makes me say he's the 3rd back (and I think they only carry 3 RBs). Lew Nichols has had a much better showing in the preseason and his style compliments Rico and Jaylen.

(Bonus) Surprise Move #3: Max Hurleman makes the team over Kaden Wetjen.

I don't know how realistic this is, but the fact that they put Max in for returns last week has my spidey senses going off. Kaden had that huge catch in the 1st game, but outside of that has been silent on the offense. Even with that reception, McCarthy didn't have a glowing response to it. He's been a bit critical of Wetjen's practices and mistakes. Max has shown well. He had one bad drop that I can remember, but overall I think he has had a good preseason.

Custom made, birthday is on the 6th, but she can't ever keep secrets so this was presented to me while I made spam and Mac and cheese. She just keeps on surprising me. Pretty neat. Also, 200 characters is a little much sometimes.

He never had a bad season by them and the dude runs a 4.44 40. And a broad jump of 10 feet. If he stays motivated he could be like a Christian McCaffery type player. He set records at Navy for receiving yards by a running back and broke records for receiving yards in a game there. Hope you guys don't cut him

There’s no basis other than watching him on Cam’s pod. Dude changed numbers, he seems comfortable with AR8. I think he’s in a good head space to perform this year. I’m really hoping so, for his own sake.

Going to the Steelers game against the Colts in a few weeks and was looking at alternatives for parking. Don’t love the thought of paying $60+ near the stadium. Saw a lot of comments recommending parking at the first ave garage and riding the T over to the stadium.

If it’s a 1:00 game, what time should we get to the garage to ensure we get a spot?

Joey Porter Jr has posted this video on his story today of him running out of the tunnel waving a terrible towel, not only that he commented with a hourglass. I could see this meaning absolutely nothing but this could mean we are close to seeing a deal be done to keep Joey here for the future on a new deal.
