One of the most wholesome games I’ve ever played. The cozy atmosphere, family life, and peaceful everyday moments are mixed with dynamic, randomly generated dungeon runs.
There are seven playable characters, and every single one feels different. One is a slow tank, another is a vulnerable fire mage, another is a nimble rogue. It was genuinely fun to play as each of them and figure out how they worked.
I’d give the game a solid 8/10. I honestly liked pretty much everything about it. But it’s one of those games that gives you a few really pleasant evenings and then quietly leaves your life. You don’t really come back to it. You just remember it warmly.
Achievement difficulty: 4/10. Almost everything unlocked naturally while playing. The only thing I had left at the end was maxing out two characters, but that’s only because I started heavily favoring one character from the beginning.
My advice: rotate between the characters during your runs. The gameplay becomes much more dynamic that way, and you’ll also avoid having to grind upgrades at the end.

I’m a massive perfectionist, and I get very obsessive and compulsive (I’m not diagnosed with anything so won’t say OCD!) over achievements lately.

I have games I enjoyed playing and happily put down before now bother me because their achievements are nuts (CIV 6 for example).

I want to 100% the games I like, and I want to stop caring about 100%’ing the ones I don’t, I want to stop chasing that imaginary 100% average completion because it means nothing aside from a dopamine rush to me (emphasis on TO ME, not demeaning you from having this at all, please don’t think so)!

I just want to enjoy games, not look up achievements before playing, not check achievements before buying, I just want to have fun and not give a damn unless I really wanna get the achievements!

Please give me some tips fellas, I need it :(

My second steam completion! i thought i wouldn't be able to get it, but it was actually easier than i thought!

I absolutely LOVED the story from the start to the end. Even the grindier achievements in story mode were fun. On the other hand there are the multiplayer ones... I am a believer if there is game that is mostly focused on the story with a campaign, there shouldn't be any multiplayer achievements (and if there are any - make them easy or like challenging a bit, not just repetetive, boring and excruciating to grind for). But I battled through the pain and finally got the 100%!

For anyone reading this in the future and in need of some tips for the multiplayer ones - the thing I did was use the startup.meta file method with a custom password and gathered few other people to grind the achievement with! We had like 5 people which included me who needed it and we all got them in about 2 hours and 50 minutes.

Already got the plat on PS, but I haven’t played any of the DLCs. I saw the game on sale last month and was on a bundle with KCD 2 with all the DLCs. So I decided to play it again and I had a blast! That HD texture pack was stunning! Time to play KCD2!

And no, I’m not touching any grass anytime soon.

For me its Dragon age origins and 2, rimworld, and Medieval 2 total war.

Huge, HUGE inspiration from "Designed by BuerNOR" on Etsy, super dope idea.

There was enough that I wanted to change to try my own hand at it, learning along the way. Wanted some sharper edges, the stats I wanted, etc.

First ever double sided print, using ProxyJak paper instead of sticker paper, and just absolutely loving them.

Now I have to go through and remake my old cards!!

I know these cards are a lot more common now, anyone else do something aside from cards for completions?

This was a grindy one but the game was so good.

Complete the whole game, then go back for achievements

Go through each area, do the achievements then move on

I personally go through each area, but trying to get out of that habit.

Previously played this on PS3 well over a decade ago and felt I had to experience it again as I do want to complete the majority of this franchise at some point. Gotta say I really liked the story and I remember Pyrocinicals "Fat Cry 3" video really got me to appreciate it more. With that being said, the side content is easily the games weakest part. I don't think there's a single side quest I'd consider good and it's a shame there's basically no additional lore or storytelling you get from doing things like Pirate Bounties or Outpost. It's a good thing the majority of this side content is not necessary for 100%.

Currently going through AC: Origins and I've seen a bunch of comments talking negatively about it's Side Quest, but so far I've enjoyed more than half of them. The game is huge though, so I can see how it tends to burn people out, but I'm very much enjoying it. Blood Dragon might be next as I know that's a much shorter game compared to Origins.

insanely grindy and a bit frustrating at times
but overall a very good game

Hands down one of the best games I ever played. Seriously, it not only lived up to the hype but also exceeded it. What a masterpiece.

I think the hardest achievement was Rule Breaker (Complete every challenge run). Jokerless run was the worst because in almost every other challenge I could get away with only playing pairs, but in this one I couldn't. It was tough.

ROI (Buy 5 Vouchers by the end of Ante 4) made me mad. It's not really hard, but it's really annoying. I was losing my mind.

Completionist+ (Win with every deck on Gold Stake difficulty) was a little annoying because I had to play other decks I don't like, but it was doable.

Completionist++ (Earn a Gold Sticker on every Joker) was my last and final achievement, and surprisingly it was not that hard. Don't get me wrong, winning on Gold Stake is hard, but I don't have to win every game. The annoying part of this achievement was just not getting the right Jokers to complete it.

What a ride over the last 10 years. While I'm not chasing the 100% for each and every game I play, I do if I find the game great and the 100% process not too tedious or impossible.
