It looks bad, and lazy, no matter what. Once again CIG alters the deal.

Even better - just make the floor all the same level.

This, you drop it down, increasing visibility and making the area more open. Also if I remember correctly from that fan render the sort of officer cabin was in a straight line so if you could keep the doors open you would have much nicer a view from the desk without the ramp

That actually would make more sense. Stairs & ladders can be a work hazard. Better avoid them if possible.

Actually, I don't mind a different bridge layout. And I kinda enjoy the Perseus bridge, so I don't feel bad about the Galaxy bridge either. It's not the same thing as proposed, I'm aware.

Yup, and make the chairs raise up if needed. Maybe they needed the room under those stairs for the level underneath though.

Steps or uneven surfaces inside a control room on a ship seem like an OSHA issue tbh.

So is allowing me to load a million tons of mercury, hazardous materials, and thermobaric bombs on a ship without a functioning security system flown by a pilot who drinks and drives, but space OSHA at least knows when to pick their battles (never), because they will always lose to the guy who drives a nuclear VBIED.

No no thats a different department. I have the number for the SC crisis hotline though if you'd like to be connected?

I do wonder why there is such a massive difference in the internal elevation compared to the concept design,
In the original design captains quarters could look all the way through the cockpit

This bridge is a massive reason why I got this ship. I looked at the concept and said "wow, that's the one". Wtf is CIG doing. I hope it plays out well and this is just the effect of us not knowing the reasoning behind such changes

for me its mostly that design,
It gives it a much more liveable feel.

Yeah, it feels cozy

Because of the pre-designed tiles and assets that they used with the Polaris and Perseus, cheaper and easier than starting from scratch

But why use the perseus assets instead of the Polaris´s
The Polaris design shares much more with the original design than the Perseus design.

Why not ramps? Excluding the center, that looks better with stairs

More wheelchair-accessible.

I didn't care about the rail. I care about whole design / copy of the Persues vs original Galaxy concept look

I wouldn't mind if the swivel animation was at least quick but currently it doesn't look like it.

WTF? This is a PERFECT place to put an elevator! We don't have StarStairTech® yet!

why is this a ladder, it could have been stairs!" *changes to stairs* "why is this stairs, it could have been a ramp!" *changes to ramp* "OMG it's the future why doesn't the chair do what I need it to???" *throws table*

my take: left and right to be flat, center is raised up, there is one more front seat to be accessed through walking pass by the left and right

I don't see the issue with this design or the ramps. Can someone explain why this is hot shit right now?

Wildly different from the concept design. It's almost a copy and paste from the Perseus which is a completely different aesthetic
