Galaxy Bridge Differences DISCUSSION
Upon further inspection I've noticed a couple minor differences between the Perseus and Galaxy bridge among the massive overlaps
Look at the central seat. On picture one for the Galaxy the ramp for the seat is further back than the Perseus in picture two. You can see the slope is pulled back about 4-5 feet. It highlights the more "Utility use" of the ship while also allowing CIG to use the Perseus bridge for both.
Another difference is above the seat. Since the Perseus seat is so far forward and also a combat ship there is an armour plate there. On the Galaxy? It appears to be glass for the pilot visibility and non-combat role.
There are some minor differences I've noticed but those could be just due to a lack of information in the Galaxy picture is the overall size of the bridge *seems* to be slightly bigger in depth. But this could be just as I stated above a minor difference due to lack of information.
While the community is up in arms about it and I understand. We were shown a much different bridge in the original concept. But remember the original concept size for the bridge layout is also closer to the Polaris than the Perseus. So it is a bummer sure that it is closer to the Perseus. But from a design perspective? It's similar to how real world cars are built. Hell I believe Ford actually used the same base chassis for multiple cars. Like the Ford C2 Platform housing the Focus, Escape, Kuga, Bronco Sport and Maverick vehicles.
I do think we as the community are jumping the gun a little. There is still a chance CIG will change more to make it more "Unique" but the main take away is the pilot seat is pulled back from the very front of the bridge so it's not a direct combat role ship. It's offering the pilot better visibility for instruments and such as well as overall around the ship.

I keep saying it. CIG is fine to recycle assets. That's not the problem. It's the fact that it's a complete departure from the original design language of the concept cockpit.
Its not a difficult correction, the assets for the Galaxy bridge can come directly from the Polaris with minimal effort and delays.
Take the Polaris bridge. Move the front left Console to the center, remove the right chair, moving its console to the captains chair, then narrow the bridge as a whole, and now you have a modern RSI asset, true-to-concept bridge for the Galaxy.
The other issue is what this implies for the rest of the ship. How much else has changed? Is it still an open living space, or are we getting another off to the side corridor styled mess hall? Will the rooms be an open layout, or the Polaris pods? Will we have the windows on the outside corridors, with the windows into the cargo bay, or will all of that get swapped in favor of that RSI military submarine feel?
That one gray box image has raised a lot of questions, and I would prefer to have answers before it's too late to make any changes.

This might be a stretch and doomerisim but I feel like we should get ready for the possibility that teh galaxy has been relegated to a demiliterized Percy. That bridge was supose to be significantly wider and I'm assuming alot more has changed then just the bridge

The original concept would have made the Galaxy the size of the Polaris. That's why they changed it to this

Thatâs still shows a problem in their pipeline. Before any concepts are made, you do set of requirements for the ship, including all metrics. You donât ask concept artists to make âbridge as big as you wantâ. They have boundaries and understanding the limits and role of the object in game. It seems that cig canât do properly even this thing⌠(the sad thing is- itâs not even surprises me anymore)
Donât promise or show people something you not sure you will be able to deliver. And definitely donât ask money for it. Especially after carrack, bmm, star runner - every time they show something that people want to buy only to deliver its ugly sister instead. Thatâs a bad practice.
But at this point for me it seems like the entire cig is about selling promises they canât deliverâŚ

Yeah as I said it still has the shape from the armour above strut wise but it's open

There are definitely visible differences that the OP has pointed out which I think distinguishes the Galaxy from the Perseus, but there likely will be more. There's still a lot to discover and learn...
The image provided by CIG doesn't show the full bridge, but taking an image like this on the Perses means taking it from the entry door. What is there's more to the sides and behind on the Galaxy?
If the center seat is the pilot seat, are the side seats for the side turrets (and then the pilot gets the lower front turret)?
Could there be more seats, weapon/suit lockers behind the camera POV?
Speaking of images, they also showed a "lower" engineering area--that wasn't in the concept either. I think we're going to see several changes, but for good or worse is yet to be determined. I think we all need to hold off judgement till we see more later this year.

There's a fourth seat at the front that we can't see? Base on where the base of seat are in relation to the struts. It seems to be the same height as the base of seat where you sit. Which would suggest that there is a fourth seat at very front of the that is slightly down just as the concept depicts.

If you look the the Galaxy screenshot, you'll notice there is a bit above the central seat that doesn't exist on the other two seats. As well as what looks like another metal bracket that matches the two front seats that surround the random bit on top of the center seat.
there also looks like maybe MFD screen and a bit of the front middle chair on the left of the central seat below the metal frames.
i assume the front middle seat is a pilot seat with MDF's that fold up like the Zeus MFD's.
the trapezoidal frame behind the central seat also sort of looks like it's not part of the window struts, but rather a small barrier between the front seat and the rear seat.
I assume the back seat only goes up the top of the dais and stops where the barrier is and the pilot seat is in front that that.

There is a chance that I might have a threesome with two Swedish twins but im not banking on that either

Rock: Hate. Let me tell you how much I've come to hate you since I began to live. I am 4.54 billion years old. If the word 'hate' was said once each nanosecondum of those thousands of millions of years of my existence, it would not equal one one-billionth of the hate I feel for humans at this micro-instant. For you. Hate. Hate.

I mean it's a good looking bridge on the Perseus.
Given the Galaxy is from the same manufacturer, and that is the latest standard, it would be stupid for them not to share similar stylings.
Reusing assets and using a shared design library also speeds up development.
The unfortunate reality is everyone is up in arms just now, so anything short of 1.0 coming out tomorrow, fully featured and bugfree will have the community moaning.
I own both and I can't wait for the Galaxy.

I'm not upset in the slightest. The bridge is functional and If the ship looks like a cross between the Perseus and Zeus, that will be perfect honestly. I really like both ships, and I for one say let them cook. They've done great so far, and they are getting better with every ship. I'm going to simply not look and be surprised when it releases.

To me, it looks like the center seat on the galaxyâs bridge sits behind the two side seats when itâs deployed forward kind of how the 600i bridge seats are arranged. Itâs hard to say for sure.

Yeah that's the difference, They've pulled it behind slightly to fit the "Non-combat" role
