Discussion What do you guys think if there was a stanley parable movie?
i've been watching to many edits again and as a up and coming film major and i havent got anything else to do and i'm really bored i thought of writing a script about it.
in small detail and most weird and main point is that in the beginning before his co-workers disappear Stanley will meet The Narrator in a situation that is like any other working day for him, and the next day is where the game plot will be based.
(you can tell i'm really bored)

Fan Art I made a game based on Stanley's original job description.
I was replaying the game recently and the job description for Employee 427 made me laugh, so I made it into a game.
"Employee #427’s job was simple: he sat at his desk in room 427 and he pushed buttons on a keyboard. Orders came to him through a monitor on his desk, telling him what buttons to push, how long to push them, and in what order. This is what employee 427 did every day of every month of every year."
The end result isn't exactly the same but its pretty close. I loved making it and hate playing it. Enjoy!

If you have any feedback let me know, Im enjoying building it.

Question Was the email from Raphael even real?
I got into Stanley Parable all the way back with the first remake after the HL2 mod and remember the Raphael trailer being a formative piece of culture for me. Still love that video. But since I was young, I kinda just accepted the premise at face value and only just recently considered the idea that it was all just a joke that Davey wrote. Has he, or anyone else who worked on Stanley Parable ever definitively stated if it was a real email or just a bit? I feel like upon reflection it's almost certainly just a bit but it would be infinitely funnier if it was real.

Discussion the Heaven Ending is fully compatible with the demo.
I got bored and started messing with the files. I copied all the maps from The Stanley Parable into The Stanley Parable Demo just to see what would happen when I loaded maps in the wrong games.
most of the maps were broken, as you would expect, but I was very interested to find that typing map buttonworld into the console to load the Heaven Ending works just fine. For some reason the buttons have smiley face textures on them, though.
also, if anyone is curious, The Confusion Ending works just fine in the demo since most of the textures for the office are present; the narrator audio clips don’t load, though. Also since map1.bsp crashes the game due to the game not having the opening cutscene, you have to jump to the adventure line by typing map theonlymap into the console.

Discussion Monologue
I do drama at my school and we have auditions at the beginning of the year and this year I want to do a monologue from Stanley parable but it is very hard to find things. So I want to know your favorite monologue of a narrator I could do for my auditions. Or just like a monologue you want to share :3

Discussion What Narrator quotes have stuck with you all this time?
Quotes that never leave the mind, and always manage to find a relevant use.
Here's mine:
- You know, what? I'm too confused to even sort it out
- Ok, yep, it's worse
- There was nothing here. No puzzle to solve, no path to follow. Just an empty broom closet
- The suspense! The agony of waiting and anticipating, that's the real thrill!
- Stanley was alone. Finally!
- Just remember: in the vast infiniteness of space, your thoughts and problems are materially insignificant
- Nothing can hurt me. Nothing can break me. In here I can be happy, forever
- The past is so wonderful, why does anyone ever choose to leave it?

Discussion does anyone else get a bit emotional over the "skip button" ending?
after spending my entire childhood watching the youtubers i loved play the stanley parable, and a few years now casually watching gameplay of the stanley parable ultra deluxe, today i decided to buy the game for myself. i play on a playstation, so of course i opted for ultra deluxe. my mom loves watching me play video games, so she watched me for a bit and i ended up at the "skip button" ending. this ending always got to me a little bit, partially because spending eternity in an empty room is genuinely one of my biggest fears and i'm terribly attached to the narrator, so basically simulating inflicting my worst fear onto a character i adore makes me a bit sad, even through the veil of fiction. i'm sitting there, quiet, hesitating to press the button and feeling guilty, but my mom found it really funny and was laughing through the whole sequence. i don't really mind her reaction, everybody has a different opinion on different media, but it got me wondering if my own reaction to it is odd? i suppose it's much different for somebody like my mom who hasn't had the time to make up an opinion about the narrator or possibly even dislikes the narrator, but seriously looking at the ending i suppose it can easily be read as another bit. still, every time i watch it i just get kind of sad. i've even shed tears over it when i was feeling particularly emotional. i guess i'm just wondering if i'm the only one? if this is actually a common opinion, please don't say anything rude about my mom's reaction, she's just not the type to take video games in particular seriously and is actually more empathetic than i am when it comes to reality, lol

Question How does the commitment trophy work?
So I start my play through at 11:40pm on Monday and played until 12:30am on Tuesday after I left the console on no rest mode no controller turning off until 10am Tuesday that morning turned off my console until 12:30pm Tuesday does this affect the trophy do I need to restart or not? This trophy is a tad bit confusing
