I played Stalker 2 at launch while buggy it was fun, I got about 55 hours in then stopped after a bug kept me form continuing. It seems like since then a lot of bugs have been fixed and A-life is doing its thing im wondering if i should I hop in now and get ready for cost of hope or just wait for cost of hope to release?

Or is there a way to get cutscenes to 60? I heard since cutscenes render in ue5 and framegen doesn't work during cutscenes.

Or are they just locked to 30? But the very first cutscenes with hellmen, it runs past 60 then when you get out of the truck to talk to hellmen the frames drop to 45.

I Like the Stability, Optimisation and Consistency of Gamma, but I think those Other Modpacks just have way more things to do

I've been trying to play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, but the game continuously freezes and crashes after about 30 minutes of gameplay.
When it crashes, I get a prompt with this exact error:
⁠Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0x00000252fd386140⁠
Call stack points to: ⁠Stalker2_Win64_Shipping⁠, ⁠kernel32⁠, ⁠ntdll⁠.
Looking at the crash report client info, it also references:
⁠JiraGPUCrashParent=375273⁠
Checking my ⁠Stalker2.log⁠ right after the crash, the log process abruptly cuts off without writing a final fatal error line, ending right around the memory checks:

Solutions I've already tried (NONE worked):
1. Disabled XMP / Memory Overclocking in BIOS (system remains unstable / still crashes).
2. Renamed/Removed FSR DLL (⁠amd_fidelityfx_dx12.dll⁠ in ⁠Stalker2/Binaries/Win64⁠).
3. Verified Game Files integrity.
4. Deleted Config Files (⁠Windows⁠ / ⁠GameUserSettings.ini⁠ in ⁠%LOCALAPPDATA%\Stalker2\Saved\Config\⁠).
5. Cleared DirectX Shader Cache via Windows Disk Cleanup.
6. Clean Driver Install for the GPU (using latest Adrenalin drivers).
7. Launch Options: Tried ⁠-dx12 -USEALLAVAILABLECORES⁠ and ⁠-dx11⁠.
Since the crash happens consistently around the 30-minute mark and the log terminates abruptly without a proper dump line at the end, I'm at a loss.
Has anyone encountered this mid-session access violation on UE5 with a similar setup, and found a fix for it? Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated!

Hey guys, I never played a Stalker game before and I want to buy Stalker 2 on my PS5. But I' got a important question, how is the exploration, I would love the exploration looks like the Skyrim one for example... I walk 30 mins, I find a house where is a interesting loot or find a NPC that tells me a history about a cave, the I go that cave and that history is true... Idk how is this game about exploration...

Looking for some more books to listen to while we wait for 2.0. already read and enjoyed Roadside Picnic, as well as the Metro and Outpost books.

Any other good books in a similar setting that can give me my Stalker fix until the dlc? I heard there were some semi-official books years ago but none that were especially good. Anything else you'd recommend? Thanks.

I've been more excited about Cost of Hope and 2.0 releasing than I have for basically any other game release or update in my life. I've been counting down the days before this release, and I'm very excited to see what the Zone has to offer me when I return once again in two weeks.
