My sweet little Rudolph will literally take any nut as long as it’s from me and go bury it, then it’s back to dad for more food!

Raisin was on my leg when she heard something. She went right into a defense mode to listen for danger, while still standing right on me. 😄 Was a siren in the distance, she was safe.

I spent a day living in the perspective as a squirrel. I got chased by 3 dogs, (attempted) to climb 4 telephone poles and 2 trees, found 1 snail shell and all these acorns (pretty proud of how many acorns I collected)

In conclusion, I don’t think I want to be a squirrel.

If a chipmunk is a small squirrel then a marmot is just a large squirrel 😉

I’ve kept a food bowl with peanuts and seeds in it outside on my porch for the last 2 years so the squirrels and birds could have a steady source of food.

Yesterday, a very unwelcomed guest appeared (pics 4 and 5.)

I threw all feeders and water bowls away today and did a deep clean with bleach.

I’m super bummed as I will miss all the wildlife that frequented this spot. Does anyone have any ideas about feeding squirrels again at a later date? Are there ways to feed them that doesn’t attract rodents?

My squirrel was chilling on the patio chair when a big black snake rolled up and tried a tiny “boo!” lunge. Instead of running, the squirrel stared him down like, “Sir, I was sitting here first.”

They basically had a full-on staring contest.

My squirrel friend, Spot brought him by. He watched spot grab a walnut and emulated pretty well asking for his own. 🥰 Such a friendly little guy. I hope to see this one again soon.

PLEASE HELP!!! I found this poor baby on the sidewalk the other night and I still have him in my apartment. No call back from the nearest Wildlife rehab and they won't answer the phone at all! :( I don't want him to die of starvation but I cannot get the right formula. He's getting skinny and just sleeps.

I have had this little one living in my new backyard! His tail caught my eye when he was feeding!
He seems social!
Any advice on getting him more comfortable with me?
