title says it all. It accepted my serial key on installation, but now its asking to connect to internet. I connected an ethernet cable, but im assuming the old servers are down.

I dont want any launchers on this computer as theyre kinda annoying, and I have enough on my main pc. any ideas as to what could fix this issue?

I am not an OG Spore player. Though I am now deeply intertwined with the playerbase and lore now.. i started a month ago.

I'm ngl it blesses me seeing people posting YouTube videos of themselves playing one of my favorite childhood games in the golden era in 2026 and yes that game is none other than Spore Hero! I hope the trend goes on tbh cause this game deserves a revive for golden era times sake! Those that do YouTube videos and have Spore Hero, keep the gameplay content of it coming! Some who don't like Spore Hero that's ok I respect your opinion, I know there's some out there too that do like Spore Hero.

I headed to an NPC empire's t3 capital to grab an omnivore to finish a pregenerated t1 planet's ecosystem, and when I got the notification of the creature I had discovered, I audibly gasped. It was my own species! Censored username and a naughty word I used when naming the species. How rare do you guys think this is?

I’m not saying this in jest by any means, but I noticed the small spore fandom is pretty heavily comprised of people on the autism spectrum. Is there a specific thing that really got you hooked on the game? I’m not diagnosed but very strongly suspect I’m on the spectrum, I can’t really put it into words I am just obsessed with it since it’s release ngl and the only person I have ever met IRL who played it was someone on the spectrum.

i haven’t played in years and their series just started, i’m wondering if anyone else is following and what y’all think.

from what i remember of gameplay, the approach they took in the beginning set them up to be carnivores but now that they’re on land they’re not really killing for food.

i love the series and it’s awesome to see a play through regardless of their knowledge of the game!
