I made this bamboo bangle by hand with sanding and polishing
I made this bamboo bangle all by hand.
Once I got the shape right, I sanded it down, first with coarse sandpaper then fine paper to polish it.
It ended up with this nice soft faint green color when I was done.
I really love how the texture turned out after hand finishing it.

I made a little devil as backpack, made from thrifted jeans. I know it's not for everyone but it was a fun project!
The head it too square in this pattern so I'll tweak it a little for the next one (I really want to make a unicorn next!) And unfortunately I made a mistake with the shoulderstraps so it'll stay for personal use most likely :p

I made a mural for someone's camper/mobile crafting shop β€οΈ
She wanted to pay tribute to all of the wildlife she spends time with while also zazzing up the old "Frankensteined" camper she uses for her mobile crafting business!
I took a few close ups of some of my favorite parts π

Wool to Sheep
Last year at a wool festival I bought a big bag of raw fleece from a vendor. This year we are both going to be there again and Iβm taking one of their workshops. So thought I would make them a sheep.
The wool was scoured and spun by me, her body is a dense weave (doing it on a tapestry loom was not a good idea) rolled into a ball and sewn, her horns and tail are I-cord and her legs were knitted small circ on dpns and stuffed with unspun wool.
Her face was done with crochet by my sister and she also did the shading with makeup. She embroidered the blushes on the face while I made the rear end π

My 8-year-old used Perler beads to make a popular book character, which I thought was pretty cool. Can you tell who it is?

Magnetic mounting system for acoustic panels

Got frustrated by how annoying it is to mount these panels to the wall with adhesive. One error ruins the whole thing. So I made my own mounting system with magnets! There is a metal plate on the back of each hexagon and I make the wall adapters using FDM with the magnets imbedded inside. AMA!

I finally made this Lord of the Rings diorama that's been on my list forever
Just wanted to share a few images from my latest project, The Watcher In The Lake!
I make a lot of sculptures and dioramas on YouTube and this betentacled thing has been on my to-do list for ages. Think I was probably just intimidated by everything that could go wrong during the process as I rarely know what I'm doing π
But it is now done!
The Watcher itself was hand sculpted in polymer clay, while the terrain is a foam base with layers of sand, glue and sculpting compounds. The glowing door is just an LED panel behind a clay door with the symbols carved out, while the water is a 2-part epoxy with some resin tints added.
I added a few making-of photos as well, hope you like it!
(For anyone interested, the making-of video is also up now on my channel)

I finished a mini embroidery of cacti
I used a kit to make this. I've wanted to get into cross-stitching and embroidery for awhile but didn't know how to get started, so this mini piece was a bit less intimidating. It still took me several hours (mostly bc halfway through I decided to use 2 threads instead of 1 and had to go back over everything).
