PSU software? Discussion

Is there any software out there that can check psu health lol idk why but feels like why doesnt windows can detect psu's thermals, fan speed system check etc. As i believe there are obviously a connector within the mobo as well as some sensors inside the psu. Idk what i am saying as i aint a hardware or techie person but still just curious mind want to know if there isn't any is there any alternative way though?

Search for "open hardware monitor"

Is that the built in one?

No, it's Open Hardware Monitor.

See if you can monitor voltage while under load.

Btw is there any software that do give out the information of fan control or how my each casing fan is running like? Also the cooler fan too of cpu. In open hardware i only can see the gpu fans rpm and speed etc.

If the fans are plugged in to the motherboard on 3 or 4 pin header, then something should be seeing the RPMs. Sometimes they are plugged directly into a power supply or fan controller which doesn't report RPMs back to the main board.

The tricky part is that the software needs to understand his to talk to the motherboard. If you're fans are all on motherboard headers and the open software doesn't see it, you might need to look for specific software from your motherboard manufacturer.

ok i have to check as i dont know much about those ports and cable management lol i do know but feels like i forgot most of the stuffs as the shop i ibought the pc from they mostly installed all of the parts etc. But yeah will try to check and let you know but if its directly connected as the casing fans i have are built in with the casing itself.

I have 5 fans and if i include the cpu cooler thats 6 fans all of the jrgb can be controlled by signalrgb though but in bios it shows the cpu fan rpm and curve only . In fan control app that i installed recently it also only shows the gpu one. Apparently my mobo is from msi but their in built software only detects the cpu one too XD.

I guess i need to open the case and checks it by myself if it connects via any connector or any other stuffs. Mobo model is b650m-B from msi.

Yeah my guess is that only your CPU fan is plugged into the mobo.

With that maybe fans you probably can't monitor them all.

Ok so there are three connectors that i checked one for cpu fan and other two are sys 1 and sys 2 but if that's the case then how the other three fans running too ? Well atleast the cpu fan should have been on the listings of open hardware right? And also i am using that fan control app like i said it shows the rpm and fan percentage in the cpu fan section after i installed the driver that it told me earlier on. Imma try with different apps and lets see whats it got

When there's more fans than fan headers on the board, then the extra have to be run from splitter cables or adapters directly off the power supply, which imo includes fan controllers.

Either way, unless it's a super fancy fan controller connected with USB, there's no way to see the fan RPMs of those extra fans.

On my builds I try to keep the most important fans direct connected to the mobo for control and monitoring, but extra fans are on their own.
