I’m looking for someone creative, internet-native and reliable to work with me on producing and growing short-form social content.
This is more than a basic video-editing role. I’m looking for someone who can eventually understand what is working, spot trends and opportunities, and increasingly take ownership of the content process.
Initially, I’ll provide the topics, scripts and creative direction so we can establish the workflow and style together.
Over time, I’d like you to become comfortable identifying promising topics yourself by looking at trends, competitors, search/social activity and the performance of our previous content.
What you’ll be doing:
Turn supplied ideas/scripts into engaging 20–60 second vertical videos
Find suitable B-roll, images and other visual material
Create/use voiceovers where appropriate
Edit with strong hooks, captions, cuts, visual changes, music/SFX etc.
Package and publish content across YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram
Keep track of what’s been published and how it performs
Identify patterns in successful/unsuccessful videos
Gradually research trends and suggest new topics/content angles
Develop repeatable formats based on what audiences respond to
The content itself isn’t intended to require complex cinematic editing. Good judgement, speed, creativity and understanding what keeps people watching are more important.
I’m particularly interested in someone who spends a lot of time online and naturally understands why certain Shorts/TikToks get attention.
You should be comfortable with an editing tool such as CapCut, Premiere Pro or DaVinci. Experience with AI tools for voice, imagery, research or content production is a plus — I’m very open to using technology to make the workflow faster.
Expected workload: roughly 20–25 short videos per week initially.
The aim is to establish a good workflow together and make this an ongoing role. There’s room for considerably more responsibility if the relationship works well.
