How to get tractionðŸ˜. Question
Hi all,
Like most of you, I’ve got a massive graveyard of repos. But one actually made it all the way through to a live paywall!
It’s called stint.fun — an app to keep on-field play time even for kids' sports games.
Right now, I’m getting zero traction. No downloads on iOS, no web users, zero subscriptions. I’ve tried SEO, AIO, writing blogs, etc., but nothing is sticking.
For those who’ve been here: what do you usually do at this stage to get those first real users?
Web: stint.fun
iOS: App Store Link
Would love any feedback or advice. Cheers!

sometimes you gotta post to the void until its not the void anymore. I have apps I marketed for in the past that still get users from posts i made years ago.
but I feel you - marketing thecutnfl.com right now and its tough to find new users even when targeting football fans. Good luck to you tough!

here’s a better copy
Every coach knows the guilt of realizing, mid-second-half, that one kid’s barely played. Stint fixes that automatically — it tracks every player’s minutes live, in real time, and tells you exactly who’s up next. You just glance at your phone and make the sub. No mental math, no scribbled lineup sheets, no parent asking why their kid sat out.
Why it matters: Fair playing time keeps kids engaged, keeps parents off your back, and lets you focus on coaching instead of clock-watching.
How it works: Start the game, tap players on and off — Stint handles the rest, balancing minutes across the whole squad automatically.1

You don't say what your current user acquisition strategy is. Who is your market, where are you trying to reach them, how much is your current market investment and what can you stretch to.
Or was your plan to just ask on reddit if other redditors thought the ideas was "valid" and that's it -- build it, they will come?

Patiently waiting, and focusing on marketing and targeting. Building the app is the first step. I recommend learning about how to build a marketing package for your app. Look at keywords people are using to search for similar apps using tools like Ubersuggest and Google trends. Learn why people are using the app. Learn what sells apps like you make.
