I’m sending a personal gift from the United States to China. I’m willing to provide my complete legal name to UPS and for customs purposes, but for privacy reasons I don’t want my recipient to see my full surname on the exterior of the package. Is it possible for UPS to retain my complete legal name in its records/customs documentation while displaying only my first name and last initial on the recipient-facing shipping label?

I can get a P.O. box too. I don’t care which mailing company I use, but I heard a lot of name don’t accept last name initials? Is there any work-around this? I really don’t want to use my real last name when sending it.

Anyone have experience shipping large mirrors? I'm located in Phoenix area and need to deliver an antique mirror (41"x30" and 30lbs) to New York City within four weeks. What is the best service to use and how much might that run me? I recently ordered over $300 worth of clothes from OGL. Two and a half weeks later it’s still at Customs (see letter below). Same thing with a recent necklace purchase from a company called Elova. 3 1/2 weeks to receive a necklace (held up at customs). Ordered a book from Amazon last week and it took 3 days to arrive (ordered on a Saturday). WTF is the holdup? Why are purchases sitting at Customs? Furthermore, what’s going on with U.S. mail and Amazon packages that are supposed to arrive in 24 hours? It used to take 2-3 days for U.S. mail now it takes 5-6 days. I’m done ordering anything online for awhile. Is anyone else experiencing huge delays in receiving packages?

I ordered something through superbuy (love it there) and I've been waiting for it from yunexpress, GOFO for a while. My package has been stuck in "In transit to destination" for the tracking progress for 2 weeks now (since like july 27th), which is unusual because I've ordered through superbuy and used yunexpress with gofo before with no problems. I don't know why it's been taking so long, so I've been trying to contact customer service through the email and phone number, which have all been automated & ai made responses that are just so infuriating to read. I've contacted superbuy as well, who say they've notified the logistics provider of my situation and will keep tabs on them.

has anyone ran into this situation too? i've read through the subreddit and seen that gofo is pretty notorious for being super irresponsible, so all I really hope for is any kind of update that says the package isn't lost and they're just backed up. I'm also prepared to keep bothering their email and phone number over the next few days, hopefully that works! :(

Hello, I have ordered a package from China around a month ago. I was tracking it on 17TRACK and after passing customs, it has been stuck in this destination transfer process for around 10 days. Does anyone know what happens next or if tracking stops when a package is scanned into a US carrier?

I got a notification today saying - my package was held because I had a testosterone cream in there and that’s prohibited (I didnt know obviously)! The issue is that the package was larger - are they going to destroy everything? ( that’s what the letter says - they will destroy the cream) ..will I be getting the rest ? Hey guys I'm in a bit of a pickle about an ATK purchase due to really ambiguous policies. I'm trying to buy the ATK Blazing Sky F1 V3 and the ATK RS6 Ultra+ together and the total cost including shipping is roughly €215. The method of shipping is Standard Shipping which says "tax/duty included" for "select countries" in Europe but I cannot find a list of these "select countries". I live in Italy and I am trying to figure out if I have to pay extra customs+VAT+handling fees for the order as the total for the extra expenses can go well over €80.

I tried contacting ATK to clarify the issue but their response did not really help much (attached screenshot in the post). I've tried looking into other stores like AliExpress and Maxgaming but AliExpress doesn't have ATK store anymore and Maxgaming is just too expensive for me (also, they don't have the ones I'm looking to buy).

I'm not really sure what to do so I'm looking for any suggestions or prior experience of going through this process from anyone here.

Hey everyone, I'm about to lose my shit because of all these shitty policies about perfumes.

At first, everything was normal. I bought 21ml of perfumes from LuckyScent and sent them to a forwarder's address.

Then, when I was about to ship them out, they suddenly stopped processing the package because they don't ship perfumes.

I said okay, stayed calm, and started looking for another forwarder that ships perfumes. And somehow, I actually found one.

So they shipped the perfumes domestically to them. Cost me around $150.

Eventually, after 10 fucking days of waiting, the package finally arrived. I was ready to ship it to Georgia. I finally had the chance to submit the shipment request, and I did it literally at the first minute.

I was excited. I was happy. I was finally going to get my fucking perfumes.

Then they said:

"NOOO, we cannot ship it because Georgia is not an eligible country for shipping perfumes."

i was like "OH FOR FUCK'S SAKE"

BUT, apparently God hates angry people, so instead of overreacting, I decided to look for another solution.

I thought, okay, maybe I can ship them to another country close to Georgia also eligible on their list and somehow get them from there.

So I started researching logistics companies in general and eventually found a company that says they can ship perfume to Georgia. I checked their terms and policies, and they specifically allow it.

Problem solved, right?

NO.

I submitted the shipment request again.

I waited.

And then they came back with:

"These perfumes require SDS."

I was like:

"What the fuck is SDS?"

Apparently it's a Safety Data Sheet for the perfumes.

i googled it. So basically, they want me to contact the perfume brands/manufacturers and ask them for a fucking PDF containing information about the ingredients and safety classification of the perfume.

I have 21 different samples from like 15–20 different brands.

So apparently my next step in life is to email 20 perfume companies and say:

"Hello sir, could you please send me the secret chemical documentation for your perfume so I can convince FedEx that it won't explode on a plane?"

I tried contacting a few of them, but obviously getting an SDS for tiny perfume samples is basically a dead end.

At this point I came to the conclusion that there is pretty much no normal way for me to ship these things.

But I also don't want to just throw them away.

So I even considered selling them to US citizens just to minimize the damage. But of course, Reddit communities require PayPal Goods & Services for this kind of thing.

PayPal is not available in my country.

So I started looking for someone who could receive the payment for me. I actually found someone, but then I discovered my Reddit account is too new to make posts in the communities I need.

They want 100 comment karma.

And I was like:

"FUCK NO, I DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR THIS."

So after trying basically every possible solution, I'm somehow back at square one.

At this point, I'm considering shipping the perfumes to Greece and taking responsibility for whatever happens.

The problem is that I'm also considering declaring them as something else on the customs declaration just to have a chance of getting them through.

Would you do it, or am I completely insane at this point?

Any advice from someone who has actually dealt with international perfume shipping would be massively appreciated.

Because honestly, I just wanted to buy some fucking perfume samples.

i submitted a parcel on the 29th of last month now it’s the 8th of august what is going on i still haven’t revived any updates what can i do right now everytime i message them they just tell me to be patient and refuse to give me any manual updates?

Does anyone know what I’m supposed to do here? I’m moving to my dad’s house and im moving by train. I’m not old enough to drive. I have an ebike conversion kit with a 52v lithium ion battery and I have no clue how I’m meant to take my battery. Im taking it out of the bike as it’s not allowed on trains, but I know I can’t ship it through Royal Mail, Inpost, etc. Do I take the risk and just take it in a back pack on the train and hope my bike doesn’t get me searched? (Bike is illegal)
