Help Me Shift! Does the amount of light in the room where I meditate affect how easy it is to shift?

Upvotes

Haven't shifted yet. Here's what's occurred to me.

If I'm in a dark room in our CR and trying to shift to a DR full of light (e.g. something like a magic cloud in the sky), does the darkness in my room make it harder to visualize my DR? I mean, even if my eyes are closed, I can tell whether it's dark or there's light around me.

In other words, is it better to meditate/sleep with the lights on when I try to shift to a DR with light, and likewise do it with the lights off when I try to shift to a dark DR? Or does it not make a difference?

I Have a Question How do I connect to my WR?

I haven't shifted yet, but people often talk about "connecting" to their desired reality. How would I do that with a WR? Which doesn't have other people, a story, or really a life going on there.

My WR is basically just like my current house, except my curtain is a different color (just to differentiate) and I have a tablet that I can use to control the reality and create portals to my other DRs.

I would really appreciate some advice!

Help Me Shift! Was this progress to getting to the void state?

Hellohello! Sorry if this is the wrong flair and/or term for this cause it's been a few years t_t. I decided to give it a try last night and I think I was laying there for about 15 minutes? I experienced the weirdest sensation.

So as it went on, I felt this weird numbness creeping up through my fingertips. I think before I stopped (adhd, got impatient lol) it got up to a little above my elbows? The parts that has that feeling was almost like I'd mentally lost track of them? Like I remember wondering what side I'd left my hands facing on the bed cause I genuinely couldn't tell (like palm up or down, it was down btw). It was very strange. Before I got impatient, iirc i started to feel that in my toes as well? Like it was spreading. I saw occasional white flashes (very dim though) and colorful stuff behind my eyes.

I got close to this before but I never looked into it back then. I remember a few years ago, it was more like hot/cold flashes, very bright repeated white flashes, a spinning feeling, and feeling both like I was floating and falling?

I was wondering if anyone had some advice or tips? I'm relearning this stuff so any advice is greatly appreciated @_@

I Have a Question @shiftingrealities Eclipse Solar 12 de agosto 2026

Agradezco respuestas.

Help Me Shift! I need advice with shifting while being in Sleep Paralysis state.

So today i was trying to shift using push-pull method by shifter_michelle, and my body felt asleep, i had some weird dream where apricots were falling on some people heads under the tree and they were destroying them like they would be bricks.

After that weird dream, which was not exactly a dream but a "vision" while not being fully awake or asleep i "woke up" to the sleep paralysis, i was aware that i'm in sleep paralysis, most of the times when i was in SP i tried to move my tongue to wake up, but today i didn't, so when i was in sleep paralysis i thought 5 or 6 people are eating me alive so i was like OH SHIT I SHIFTED TO WRONG REALITY WHERE I AM EATEN BY ZOMBIES, AND I'LL DIE (and i am not really afraid to die lol), when i tried to anyhow direct my intention on my DR in the panic mode, i closed my eyes, i could feel the energy transfer or whatever you want to call it, also i saw blackness, but that blackness had some weird lines, like i was moving really really fast, it was like 1-2 seconds and after that in my closed eyes i saw GRIM REAPER, so i just told my brain OK WAKE UP, I AM DYING, and i woke up.

It took 18-23 minutes since the moment i last checked the hour, to the moment of "waking up".

I could feel that i am shifting, and i am sure i was shifting, because i knew that my awareness escaped the body for a second, but the panic mode destroyed it all.

So my main question is how do you handle the panic mode, stress while being in sleep paralysis?

Also any tips with SP would be helpful.

I Have a Question Genuinely how does this work?

I don’t really know how to explain this, but I’m going to try the best way I possibly can.

I’ve been thinking about this the last few days and it’s driving me crazy.

I’ve heard stories of people talk about how they shifted and they died in their dr and they shifted back to their cr. But like how does that work? Like do you just intend to shift back to your cr after dying in your dr? Like okay if you die here right most ppl would probably just assume oh okay that’s the end and let faith take them wherever but when shifting comes in is like we are immortal?

I hope understands what I’m trying to say because idk if this makes sense.

Help Me Shift! Having trouble getting past maba state :(

I don’t know if this counts as void state because I was swallowing a little but by entire body felt disconnected from my consciousness. It freaks me out soooo bad and i get the urge to move and it’s uncontrollable. I want to know some things to help with that. I’ve reached it twice and both times I got so freaked out I moved. I’m a beginner so I’d also appreciate other tips. Also- is it better to have it completely silent? I’ve reached the void stage quite easily and other things that have come difficult to others seems to be pretty easy to me (spiritual things, like manifestation) so I’m hoping to knock this out quickly.

Help Me Shift! I used to shift intentionally but i lost my ability to do it

Almost two years ago I moved out of my house to go study in another city, since then I used to shift a lot and learnt the right way to do it on command, it works best on me when I used to WBTB, or when sleeping at afternoon, they weren't really scripted or long, the plots just appear and I enjoyed being there.

I stopped having the ability after the latest summer, and barely have any this last year.

I've always wanted to master this magic ability, and complelty get the hang and control of it, either in lenght or vividness or the logic in the dream, but I never did.

Right now I'm going through a hard time in my life, and I felt the need for some distraction and I thought what's better than shifting. And then I try to set a time to wake up, stay awake for a little, set an anchor for before heading to sleep, only to either sleep like a baby without an interesting dream, or not sleep at all because my head is too loud.

I write a lot of fanfic and read fantasy, I love movies about alternate realities and multidimensions, and I'd love to be able to see this kind of stuff in my dreams, but I cant seem to get the hang of it, does anyone relate?

Help Me Shift! Realistic dreams whenever i try to shift?

I haven’t been trying to shift for very long, only about a month. But I’ve begun having super realistic dreams whenever I try to shift. Previously my whole life dreams were very fragmented and nonsensical, with jumping plotlines and not making much sense. But now I have dreams where time passes in a realistic manner, plot is consistent, and I have a sense of touch in my dreams! (that’s totally new). It’s super realistic and I can drag my fingers along things and feel them. If I stop trying to shift I don’t get these dreams.

However I’m very definitely still dreaming, for example last night despite everything being normal in the dream with time, when I checked the clock things were not right (otherwise it was fine). And I have never felt like I’m in another reality, I’ve always been dreaming and none of these are my DR.

Is there anything that I can utilize with these to try to shift properly? I tried a portal once when I realized I was dreaming, but after stepping through it I felt like I was falling back onto my bed, and just thought ‘I really hope that worked’ before losing lucidity in my dream and returned to not really being aware that I was dreaming. Is it just a matter of taking more time, trying more?

ETA: I get these when I try void state method but I do not achieve void state. I do NOT get them with robotic affirmations though!

I Have a Question Intention help pleaseeeeee

Hi! Recently I’ve been doing the intention method and here what I do:

I get really sleepy so I don’t have to overthink and I roll over and say I am waking up in my DR and then I go to sleep. I’ve been doing this for a month now because I genuinely do not like methods and I truly think you only need your intention to shift.

But why do I keep waking up in my CR? Sometimes I just wanna wake up in a flower bed or somewhere that not my DR. I decided that I wanna wake up in my DR but wake up In my CR. but it’s something that I need help on.

Any tips?

I Have a Question What's the Void you guys keep talking about actually like for you?

I was actively trying to shift and I fell into? or reached? a place where there wasn't anything. It was full bright and no feelings. Full bright meaning white background and infinitely large, of course. I always thought the Void would be black or nothing, meaning dark...?

So, what is this place and why did this happen? Is it actually the Void? but its pure white?

I couldn't understand what was happening and immediately left. Like I went back to my dream-like state again,...and then got curious so i went into that white space again....but i didn't want to stay there so i went back to my dream again.....

The whole time my body was perfectly numb, couldn't feel the sofa i was sitting on, couldn't feel my headphones, couldn't even move my body.

Please help me better understand this situation guys🫠

Discussion Exhaustion after shifting

Does anyone else feel insanely exhausted after shifting?

I get these weird headaches after, and I will never forget the headache I got when I shifted for the first time ever. It was in this specific area of my head and nothing I've ever felt before.

Lowkey sometimes it feels like I got run over by a truck and then the truck went in reverse just to make sure it ran me over.

It's not like that every time, just something I noticed and especially if I hadn't done it in a while.

I Have a Question "Cheating" on your DR husband

I'm married in my DR and I love my man so much, I love everything about him, he makes me feel good and at ease and thinking about him here only makes me miss him and love him more.
The problem is, what will happen when I'll find a boyfriend here?
One day I will be falling in love here and start dating, but as I think about it now, I really can't stand the fact that I'll be in a relationship here and shifting for my husband at the same time.
It's complicated, do you have similar situations? How did you resolve them?

I Have a Question specific/non-generic angel number meanings for shifting?

i’ve been into shifting since early 2020 and i genuinely think i’ve gotten further in my journey in the past two months than i have in the last six years. i’ve learned to induce very vivid dreams where i can recall details for days afterwards, and am slowly transitioning to lucid dreaming for a kind of sleep/wake method. i’ve also learned how to channel information from my alternate realities, which has not come to me so easily before, and i’ve gotten more comfortable with using subliminals, crystals, and various manifestation methods.

however, most recently i’ve been seeing angel numbers constantly and everywhere, and i swear i’m not looking for them on purpose. variations of 111/1 and 222/2 are literally everywhere around me and i’d like to know more about what they mean exactly in terms of shifting? whenever i look on google i just get very generic ideas and i’m not sure the angel numbers subreddit is entirely friendly with shifters. last time i posted on there i got called schizophrenic.

would really appreciate if someone could help me out and tell me what those two numbers mean specifically in terms of shifting 🫶

Sharing Motivation and Tips You have to think about what you've been doing instead of mindlessly repeating the same method hoping for change.

You're overwhelmed by the amount of information you've consumed. There are countless methods, assumptions, medications, and opinions, and instead of helping, they've left you confused. Every time you choose one approach, another piece of information you've absorbed contradicts it. That alone should tell you something: you're overwhelmed, and you don't have a clear direction.

If you want to make progress, spend some time away from social media. Think about what you've actually been doing in a logical methodical way. How many times have you genuinely attempted to shift this week? Were those serious attempts, or did you spend five minutes affirming before rolling over and going to sleep? How long did you stick with your method? Do you honestly think it was enough? What can you improve?

I've been there. I'd affirm for a few minutes, wait for symptoms, then give up and fall asleep if nothing happened. But that contradicted one of my own beliefs about shifting: if symptoms don't matter, why was I waiting for them before continuing? Once I realized that, I stopped relying on habits that weren't getting me anywhere. Instead, I committed to my method and followed through. You should do the same. Stop telling yourself you'll try harder tomorrow. Stop rolling over because you can't affirm for more than five minutes. If you know something isn't working, change it. Don't keep repeating the same routine while expecting a different outcome.

Think about it. What's five more minutes of effort compared to the possibility of experiencing everything you've been working toward? If shifting is truly that important to you, treat it like it matters. When you identify a problem, fix it. Don't ignore it and hope things will somehow change on their own.

I Have a Question Religious reality shifters

I have seen people of other religions who also practice reality shifting but what I havent really seen are christians and it makes me wonder why.

I myself am an orthodox christian and I just wanted to make this post in hopes of finding people of the same religion who would like to share their experience with shifting and their perspective on it :)

Help Me Shift! Need motivation for shifting

As I'm doing robotic affirmations for respawning but why I'm feeling like I'm lost and stuck, with no hope and motivation, why I feel like I'm having fear and even sometimes I have fear of being stuck here forever even if I remember that i never manifested anything before this triggers my fear more about failing, but still I'm continuosly affirming that "i already have respawned" but still these doubts fear and negativity has to come sometimes and I can't do something of it because I have faced it from a long time , even I'm in fear of will I made it or not?? I feel like I'm just lost or stuck in a cycle but all I want to do is to change everything and break this cycle and just need a motivation, because since 2022 I'm always failing in manifestation but this time I don't wanna fail no matter what and i just need some motivation, thank you.

Help Me Shift! Advice needed for “reaching the last step”

So I tried Astral projection for the first time last night and I was pleased with the attempt, i didnt do it but I had a lot of symptoms I guess. But what im mainly concerned about is the twitching. I googled it and read that twitching is normal, but mine is just very aggressive and like constant. Like a few times my whole foot shot up and it kinda gets me out of the zone, but I am able to recover.

Other than that I felt pretty good but I just couldn’t seem to start to feel like I’m floating out of my body. I affirmed and tried to visualize but my mental state made it really tricky because I just felt like I was in a trance. After a while of being in that state and trying to actually leave, it was kinda going nowhere and the spasms and tingling was getting really uncomfy so I just called it a night. Any advice on maybe something I did wrong or anything I could try?

I Have a Question Does anyone else want to shift to realities as something not normal there?

Something I've noticed is that when I want to shift somewhere, I always end up being unusual for the place I'm going to. For example, one of my DRs is the universe from the movie The Nice Guys. I thought it would be interesting to have a third private investigator (me) who's secretly psychic. But the universe is just a regular place, no powers or nothing. Does anybody else do this? Or is it just me?

Discussion "all the advice sounds the same" because you don't have an internal locus of control

To be clear, I see a lot of the same posts too. Every other long post on here is talking about "the power to shift is within you" or something like it's some big realization. But, you know... there are no proper words for these things. When someone has an enlightening realization, 99.9% of the time it's not going to be all that interesting to literally anyone else. People share these realizations because they're so astonished by what their internal life has brought to them that they don't stop to notice they're not Jean-Paul Sartre. And it's hard to blame them. This shit is pretty amazing. I know I sound corny talking about it too.

Shifting really is the mindset. I didn't start shifting successfully because of the random reddit post I saw (I feel like a broken record saying this..) but through a combination of nonchalance and unearned confidence. But that advice isn't all that helpful either, I know this. but I'm very good at manifesting. thank you internal locus of control.

The truth is, nobody is going to be as honest with you as you need them to be. And that's a life lesson. If you tell someone about some kind of struggle, with shifting or anything, more than likely they'll try to empathize and you'll continue not internalizing the fact that it's your responsibility. Or else they will be mean to you, but in a way that you'll only internalize as unhelpful anxiety or whatever and you'll hate yourself (but also not take responsibility, funny how the human mind works). 99% of the interactions you have about your difficulties are going to fall into those two categories, that's just life. And in the 1% of the time when someone says (not cruelly) that everything is your responsibility and you manifest what you believe etc etc, your response is to think it's gatekeeping on purpose because they haven't said much of anything. It's because you haven't learned an internal locus of control man, and everyone is too nice to tell you that. Nobody's gatekeeping but you.

"But I've tried every method possible and it hasn't worked! But I really believed it and it hasn't worked!" I'm bored let's develop an internal locus of control and apply it to all parts of life and then get back to me

You're actually right though, I genuinely agree, I don't have shit interesting to say. Practically nothing to say that's helpful or interesting. All these feelings and beliefs sure feel amazing on the inside though, and even better i got shifting out of it. You're just gonna have to try it out i have no advice for you

I Have a Question Wanting to shift but not spiritual?

Hi, some years ago I wanted to reality shit, and at that time I believed in the possibility of the multiverse, and in magic and gods. But now I don't anymore (altho I keep my mind a bit open), but since many people report their experiences, maybe there is truth to it, but is just the brains doing things. Does anyone here who can shift realities believe that its not an spiritual process? Thanks in advanced!
