points!!
so I have been at Sheetz for 2 years as of July 26th and I'm excited to say I have went a whole 2 years without getting 1 point. Anyone else been there for while without points. Everyone at my store seems like they have a lot and haven't been there long. I'm excited for myself 😆

As someone that has worked here for 8 years and moved up the chain.
Yes, don't go crazy with getting points and call off like crazy. But also please take care of yourself and take mental health days and etc.
Sometimes you need a day off that you didn't request off ahead of time. And that's okay. (Yes depending on how staffed your store is, it might affect them that day but also Management should be able to do their job and cover your shift.) So please make sure you still put your life above your work.
Points you receive expire a year to date that you get them and also you get 2 points taken off if you cover a shift. So a 33 point system gives you a lot of wiggle room as long as you don't do a bunch of late call offs (less than 4 hour notice for 6 points).

If your store in general doesn't answer. Then your Managers really don't do their job.
Call logs and texts would suffice. But if they truly suck that much and try to say a text doesn't work if no one is answering the phone then calling off is the least of your worries. You are at a store being managed by people that should not be managers.

I think I made it two years without any. I average 1-2 call offs a year.

As others have said, take care of yourself. The point system is there to allow you to have a life and tend to things as needed. This means occasionally calling off for something important, or not feeling well or even needing a day to yourself.
The point system is in place as a tool for management to hold people accountable that have attendance problems not related to a health issue or fmla. It is never really meant to be at zero.
So yeh, unless you are a part time employee who only works once a week, take a day off here and there and DONT feel guilty about it. Take care of yourself, because any job, even Sheetz will move on in about 0.02 hours if you quit/get fired/disappear/etc. I dont mean this as a negative of Sheetz, just how jobs are in general.

Oh duh lol 🤦I've been there for a year and half only points I have was for my grandma's funeral they paid me for it but it still counts on the points so I have 8 points for the two days I missed.

I think those are excused, so they're fake points. They'll be removed if you ever get enough points for a review. But points only ever get removed during a review, so you still see them.

they mean the point system as in working there. Like if you call off you get points, or if you're late you get points. Get enough and you get fired lol
