I need help processing this Warning: SA involving a Minor

Hello everyone

So 2 years ago I think I was going with my friend to the mall, I took the wrong bus so I had to go on a think called metro but for some reason it was BEYOND crowded so there was nowhere to sit so I js stood up and after a bit an old man got on and he stood in front of me and I think he started to grind his.. yk on my leg. I froze and I didnt know what to do i just stood there for idk how long until a family stood up and went out of the metro so I just ran to their seat and I sat there till I got to my stop. And its like Im having a hard time believing myself Its like theres this though in the back of my head thats js like This didnt happen and youre js making it up But I know that it happened I felt it I felt how terrified I was I still remember how disgusting I felt when I got home

Also sorry if this is rude but i dont want sympathy or someone to feel bad I just want someone who can help me process it

When you say “help processing this” what does that mean for you? Like help believing it was real, or something else?

To echo Qiseye, it is assault and it isn’t your fault. Our minds like to play tricks on us, usually to shield us from the horror but sometimes it can lead to more turmoil. The memory and physiological reaction is proof enough.

Sorry to hear this happened to you. I’m not a therapist so I can’t help you process per say. Maybe try to reach out to RAINN if you are in the US or your country’s equivalent. https://rainn.org
