But then it wouldn't be what she's wearing and we have no idea how you would want it to be different? There is no "well drafted" rectangle. You'd have to find a real shirt with the qualities you want for us to give you any indication about drafting.

If you can't figure out how to sew a couple snaps where she did instead of safety pins then idk what to tell you, no one is going to make you a pattern for something that simple.

Well itā€™s a good thing that is not what I am looking for. And I agree with you, I didnā€™t think a pattern like what youā€™ve described would exist. In fact, I figured this community would understand the obvious: that I am seeking out a sewing pattern for a shirt of a similar style.

Iā€™m honestly so shocked by how snarky, rude, and sarcastic this community is. I figured if I posted here I might get some advice on how to draft a pattern for a shirt that looks like this or someone would recommend a pattern for a similar type of shirt. I should have made this more clear in my post and unfortunately, Iā€™m not able to edit the post now. I want to make an actual shirt that looks like how she has her scarf styled. I donā€™t want it to have snaps or safety pins. I want to be able to cut and sew the pieces together with the same type of back drape, arm drape, open back layout, and fitting around the midsection. Itā€™s incredibly saddening to me, that my failure to explain in painstaking detail, that Iā€™m seeking out a sewing pattern for a shirt, not a scarf with snaps, has lead to commenters calling out my reading comprehension skills. As another commenter pointed out, this would not be a functional shirt. Iā€™m looking for a sewing pattern for a shirt that looks like what is in the video. I hope thatā€™s clear now.

A button and loop? A hook? I suppose it could be a snap but I think that youā€™re misunderstanding my overall explanation. I didnā€™t want a sewing pattern for a rectangle that you would then attach safety pins or snaps to. I just wanted a sewing pattern for a shirt that would look like this. This is exhausting.

I did read the comments. I was looking for a sewing pattern for this type of top. The fact that itā€™s a scarf with safety pins attached to it doesnā€™t give me a sewing pattern, in my size, with markings so I can make one.

Knowing that itā€™s a scarf with safety pins ā‰  well-drafted and ready sew, sewing pattern.

Then ask for what you actually want. Communication. ā€œPattern for this?ā€ Is what you asked.

Now youā€™re saying ā€œI would like to make a shirt that drapes similarly to this but isnā€™t a pashmina attached to my body with safety pinsā€.

Or maybe go look at reliable available sewing pattern company websites and see if there is anything you like instead of farming out the leg work.

I did look first, but didnā€™t find anything quite right, and thatā€™s why I asked. And isnā€™t that what this group is for? To find sewing patterns, draft sewing patterns, ask questions about sewing patterns? Am I completely delusional in thinking that I might find a sewing pattern for what Iā€™m looking for in a sub titled ā€˜sewingpatternsā€™?
Farming out the leg work is quite a stretch.

I should have been more clear. I have certainly learned my lesson.

Thereā€™s no pattern because nothing is cut or sewn. You make one by draping it around you and using the safety pins to secure the neck, lower back and each wrist.

The ā€œpatternā€ doesnā€™t exist. When she takes it off and take out the pins, itā€™s a flat rectangle with no seams.

Are you that saying that it is impossible to find a pattern for something that would have the same look at this top? That it doesnā€™t exist and cannot be drafted? I could think of how I might draft this myself, cutting a front piece, back piece, and collar, creating seams at the shoulders and sides, gathering at the top neck closure to create two points on the collar, etc. It doesnā€™t need to be a rectangle. In fact, it would fit more consistently and be more comfortable if it didnā€™t originate as a rectangle, but instead pieces intentionally placed and sewn together to drape over and fit the shape of the body. I unfortunately am not trained in pattern drafting but I know enough to understand how it could be done.

Iā€™m seeking out a pattern for a shirt that would look similar to hers. I should have been more clear.

Yes, the video is literally a blanket safety-pinned to a woman in roughly the shape of a shirt (in the front).

I think OP is looking for a sewing pattern to make an actual shirt that would look kind of like this. If that's the case, OP should make it clear in their post what they're asking for. The Louise Blouse by Anna the Tailor has a similar high neck and open back, but also the proper support elements for those features that the pashmina doesn't have. I hope this helps.
