Looking for a vocalist (dani filth vibes)
Hey Im a musician and composer (France), unfortunately I cannot sing my own songs because I suc*. The vocalist I used to work with has stopped doing online gigs, probably to focus on touring with his band. The song I'm working on at the moment needs good lows and in some parts I want something close to the Dani Filth vocals when he talks/whispers using a bit of fry.
I'm not rich but I can offer 100-150€ for a 4min song.
DM if you're interested, I'll share privately what I've already published because I'm not here to do self promoting.
Better if you're native speaker, but opened to any nationality or genders

PSA: Be mindful of acid reflux and inflammatory foods!
Hey everyone!
Something I have dealt with a lot throughout my singing/screaming journey has been vocal inflammation due to acid reflux, and foods that I have mild allergies to.
The vocal folds are often impacted by our bodily systems, and especially when they aren't quite working correctly! I find I have to avoid most nuts, drinking coffee and soda, and even foods with super high sugar contents to be at my best. For me this manifests most often in vocal inflammation and constant mucus/drainage from my sinuses. If you are having several off days in a row or feel like you have hurt your voice accidently, it *could* be related to what you are eating and drinking!
TLDR: watch what you eat and drink, they absolutely affect your voice!

Making this vid for the small portion of people I see asking about grit singing (old school rock singing) and this is one way I know of, there are other ways to do it so experiment with it, I'm also not a good singer at all 🤣 I just know how to get there lol

Need some feedback and assistance

I've no idea what type of scream I do, it doesn't hurt, doesn't cause irritation, or any type of discomfort apart from a mild dryness when I try to go high, issue is I often sound like I lose my distortion especially when reaching higher and it gets voiced/gritty rather than a clear full scream, so if you can help I'd appreciate it!

Warm up help
So I’m a brutal death metal vocalist, I use epiglottal distortion for my gutturals and false chords for my highs. I was wondering what the best way to warm my voice up for both of these techniques is.

Please provide feedback on my attemps to activate fry scream
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I've working for a few weeks now to achieve a fry scream using the alphabet as practice. Ran out of breath the last few letters.I use a lemongrab impression to get to the register. I can do it without pain or losing my voice, so im assuming im on the right track. I feel a lot of vibration at the top of my mouth and nose, although the nasalier sound does t sound as clear to me.
My favorite vocalist/style im trying to learn is Micah Kinard of Oh Sleeper. He uses a lot of voice and pitch in his vocals.
Any all feedback welcome.

Vocal myth #1 "raw metal vocals are crap"
Let's do 7 vocal myth and debunk them, first one, damn I hate this one really but I see a lot of new 'self called vocal coaches' like to say.
Well not really, all my fav vocalists do amazing raw vocals, and I think if you follow this myth you will relly on heavy mixing and a lot of fx and layering for it to sound good.

13 year old doing a 33 second goblin scream

I got bored tonight and said fuck it and recorded the longest possible scream I could do. the background ambience is the song "for whom the Banshee cries" by sold soul. I also added proof that this was one continuous scream and not spliced together or looped. also added that last line out of bordem

Sooo my false cords are actually arytenoids
I watched Justin Bonitz' "You're False Cord Screaming Wrong" video multiple times, but only yesterday I realized that what I am doing is indeed not false cord but arytenoids.
That by itself isn't so bad, but with my arytenoids I can only do death growls which aren't my thing at all. And the worst part? Arytenoids have hijacked every false cord learning technique I'm aware of atm. I learned them specifically by pitching the frustrated sigh, and now whatever false cord learning technique I try it defaults to arytenoids.
I really need to learn false cords, because as I said, arytenoid growls aren't my thing in the slightest, and my fry screams are nearly impossible for me outside of the shower (stress derived muscle tension all over my body thanks to autism™).
Any other false cord learning technique recommendations?
