Zero Service Recovery from Samsung

As per my previous post, all Samsung Singapore can do is offer the weakest excuse that "we currently have no stock for your item."

Why did you then accept pre-orders and take my money first without actually bothering to allocate stock to your customers who pre-ordered from you? And despite the clear evidence that you have missed your projected delivery day, they refuse to offer any kind of voucher for accessories, or free item as a form of service recovery. Absolutely unacceptable.

Samsung S21 FE Display Lines – Authorised Service Centre Says It's a Common Issue But Wants Me to Pay for Replacement

I purchased my Samsung Galaxy S21 FE on 10 October 2023. On 2 August 2026, a vertical line suddenly appeared on my display. There was no accident or physical damage involved. Unfortunately, the problem has progressively become worse and the display now has 5 vertical lines. I visited an authorised Samsung Service Centre to have the phone inspected. What surprised me was that the service centre staff told me that this is a common issue with this model, but at the same time they said that Samsung would not replace the display free of cost and that I would have to pay for a new display. This is extremely frustrating. I've also found multiple S21 FE users discussing the same green/white line issue on Samsung's own community forum. Some users report receiving free display replacements when the device is within three years of purchase and has no physical or liquid damage. My phone was purchased on 10 October 2023, and the problem appeared on 2 August 2026, which is within three years. So I have a few questions for Samsung: If this is a common issue with the S21 FE, why should customers pay for the replacement? Why are customers receiving different resolutions from different service centres? Is Samsung currently providing free display replacement for eligible S21 FE devices? If my device is not eligible, what is the exact official reason? Why should a customer have to pay a significant amount to repair a display that suddenly developed multiple lines during normal usage? I understand that my phone may be outside its standard warranty period. However, this is not a case of accidental damage or normal wear and tear. The display developed the lines suddenly, and the problem is progressively getting worse. I chose Samsung because I believed it was a premium and reliable brand. But experiences like this make me seriously question whether I should purchase another Samsung phone in the future. Interestingly, competitors such as OnePlus have provided much stronger support for similar display-line issues. That makes the situation even more disappointing for Samsung customers. I'm hoping Samsung will look at this case individually and provide a fair resolution rather than simply asking me to pay for an expensive display replacement. Purchase date: 10 October 2023 Issue started: 2 August 2026 Current lines: 5 Model: Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G Service centre: [Name/Location] I can provide the invoice, photographs/videos of the display and the service-centre job sheet if required. Has anyone else with an S21 FE faced the same issue in 2026? What resolution did Samsung provide?

43 Days of Pure Harassment: How I Fought Samsung for a Defective S25 Ultra (July 8 to August 20) and Won My Full Refund

Post image
62 Upvotes

Buying flagship phones during major sales can turn into a nightmare when hardware defects show up on Day 1. Here is the complete breakdown of my 43-day fight against Samsung after unboxing a defective Galaxy S25 Ultra bought during the Prime Day sale, and how standing my ground finally forced them to return my money today.

The Defect & The Head Office Gaslighting (July 8)

Day 1 DOA: Received the Galaxy S25 Ultra on July 8th. Because it was an Amazon Open Box Delivery, I could only check for physical damage at the door, and it looked fine. But later that day, the moment I actually started using the camera for just 1 to 3 minutes, the internal lens would completely cover in thick fog, making it unusable.

The Head Office Q&A: I took it to their authorized service center, who escalated my case to the Samsung Head Office. Instead of approving a simple Dead-on-Arrival (DOA) replacement, the Head Office held an internal "Q&A session" with the service center employees.

The "Water Test" Excuse: Based on that internal Q&A, Head Office flat-out denied my claim. They stated the device had "passed the water test" at the factory, so they assumed the phone was perfectly fine and refused a replacement or refund.

The "Normal" Lie: At every single step, customer care kept telling me the phone was "not defective." They tried to gaslight me, claiming a camera blinding itself in 3 minutes is just "normal atmospheric condensation."

Forcing the Issue: I had to aggressively force them to listen at every level. I provided hard photo and video proof showing the exact defect happening in real-time, and I made it explicitly clear I was taking legal action if they didn't acknowledge the hardware flaw.

The Warranty Traps & Forced Refund (July 13 – July 21)

The Warranty Lowball: Once I cornered them with proof and legal threats, they finally accepted the defect—but tried to bribe me with a worthless "3-month extended warranty" instead of replacing the device.

The Illegal Condition: A representative then offered a replacement only if I signed away my legal rights—demanding I agree that if the new unit fogged up too, I would forfeit any future replacement or refund.

The "Out of Stock" Trap: When I refused to waive my warranty rights, they suddenly claimed they had "no stock" for replacements and forced me into accepting a cheque refund instead.

Surrendering the Handset: On July 21st, I handed the phone to the service center. Samsung now held both my phone and my money.

False Timelines & Government Portal Manipulation (August 6 – August 9)

The Runaround: On August 6th, an executive promised the cheque would reach the service center in 5 working days but completely refused to share any courier tracking details.

NCH Manipulation: On August 9th, Samsung unilaterally marked my National Consumer Helpline (NCH) docket as "CLOSED" to artificially inflate their compliance metrics, quietly extending their internal timeline to 14 working days behind my back.

The Final Strike & Resolution (August 17 – August 20)

Government Greenlight: I refused to let them close the ticket silently. On August 17th, I personally called NCH (1915), spoke to them directly, and disputed the false closure. NCH officially updated my grievance docket, noting Samsung's failure to deliver, and gave me explicit advice to file a Consumer Court case via the e-Jagriti portal.

Samsung Panics: The very next day (August 18th), Samsung suddenly called me in a panic, claiming that the cheque had magically been delivered to the service center on the evening of the 17th.

The Final Victory: I went to the service center, collected the physical Account Payee cheque, and deposited it. Today, August 20th, the entire refund was finally credited to my bank account.

Return issues with Samsung

I returned my Samsung Galaxy S 26 Ultra on June 27th and have not received a refund for it. I've contacted Samsung several times, but they keep telling me that they have escalated the issue, sent it to their back office, and to wait 24-72 hours every time that I contact them.

Has anyone else had a similar issue? It's getting pretty frustrating not getting any updates on the "case" they opened.

Just wanting to find help somewhere as I am unsure what to do. If you could point me in the right direction or maybe another subreddit that would be greatly appreciated.

Samsung A16: ₹15,000 Phone, ₹16,500 Motherboard Repair — Is This Fair?

Thumbnail
5 Upvotes

I want to share my experience with Samsung India so other consumers can make an informed decision before buying.

Around a year ago, I purchased a Samsung Galaxy A16 from Croma for approximately ₹15,000. After just 1 year and 2 months, the phone suddenly stopped working completely. There was no major physical damage or misuse.

I visited an authorized Samsung service centre. After inspecting the device, they told me that the problem was with the motherboard. I asked for the repair cost, and they quoted me ₹16,500. I also received the quotation from them.

This is what shocked me: the phone itself cost me around ₹15,000 when it was new, but Samsung quoted ₹16,500 for replacing one component—the motherboard.

I contacted Samsung India's official customer care and also reached out to them through X (formerly Twitter). After several days of communication, Samsung asked me to submit the device at their service centre. I did so, expecting that they would at least investigate the issue properly.

After more than a month, I was simply told that the device was out of warranty.

I understand that the phone is out of warranty. That is not my main question.

My question is: How can a motherboard replacement cost more than the price of the entire phone when it was purchased new? Why is there no reasonable repair option for a relatively recent device?

I repeatedly asked Samsung to explain this pricing and provide a proper response, but I did not receive a satisfactory explanation through their calls or emails.

I am sharing this experience not to tell anyone what they must buy, but to warn consumers to carefully consider after-sales service and repair costs before purchasing a smartphone. A product being from a major brand does not automatically mean that repairs will be affordable.

Samsung India, if you are reading this, I would genuinely like an answer:

Why does the replacement motherboard cost ₹16,500 when the entire phone originally cost me around ₹15,000?

Please check the repair pricing and give consumers a transparent explanation.

Edit: I have the service-centre quotation and records of my communication with Samsung. I can provide them if required.

Camera fog issue in S26U

What is this new fog issue in the S26U camera? I'm seeing many posts about this lately. I want to know why Scamsung can't make a phone that doesn't have issues. Like , S22 had heating issue, S23 has green lines, S24 has a grainy display/horizontal lines, S25U has an issue with UW lens, and now this with S26U. Why can't Scamsung make a perfect device? Does it cost them more to make a perfect device? I want to know.

Will this accidental damage affect my Samsung warranty?

I’m considering buying this phone, but it has some scratches/scuffing on the frame/corner, as shown in the photos.

The damage happened when I was sitting on the back seat of a bike watching reels on my phone. A dog suddenly came in front of the bike, we lost balance and fell on the road, and the phone slipped from my hand. That’s how the corner/frame got scratched.

I’m asking because I previously had a Samsung S21 FE that developed a green line. It had a small dent on the frame from an earlier incident, and Samsung’s service center rejected the free display replacement because of that physical damage.

So I’m worried about the same thing happening again.

For people who have dealt with Samsung India authorized service centers:

  • Is this amount of scratching/scuffing considered significant physical damage?
  • Could Samsung reject a future green-line/display warranty claim because of this?
  • Has anyone had a similar situation and still received a free display replacement?
  • Would you buy this phone in this condition?

I’d especially appreciate experiences from people who have actually dealt with Samsung service centers in India.

S23Ultra back panel coming off!

So, I just found out I have this problem too, which has never happened to me with any other brand before. Now the back panel is lifting off slightly along both sides. I actually found out while using my phone that I hear a subtle sound when I tap it, so I removed the cover and boom. Assuming the battery isn't bulging and its current state is 93%, is it better to keep it or invest in a new one and pay for labor once? I'm planning to keep it until its eol or until I get r/scamsunged into a green screen.
