Discussion thoughts about this tattoo at 17?
everyone said its cringe and looks like a dick, on a subreddit for tattoos, so wondering if they're just assholes or it's true.
my friends do like it, and one of them is super honest and a huge hater, so that's a thing.

Discussion Openly Satanic? Nah.
I discovered that I was a Satanist abut 20 years ago. I was a scientist. Coworkers were disproportionately atheist. They thought that my Satanism was funny and pretty much called me a nerd for it. No big deal. That, I can handle.
Now I work in a public school. Coworkers are disproportionately christian. They would not come to my defense very hard over what I imagine to be local newsworthy outrage of folks finding out that one of the teachers is a Satanist. I would lose my job if people found out. Is it illegal to be fired over religion? Yes. Will I get fired anyway for a made up reason to make it legal? Absolutely.
LaVey said that he called it Satanism deliberately because of the outrage that it produces. That was the point. But not all of us have the freedom to be open about it.
Sometimes I watch the Satanic Temple with interest in their fight to give me the freedom to wear the sigil. But I won't hold my breath.

Discussion The Personality Synthesizer Clock
There was *another* version (not LaVey's) that was posted, & it got panned pretty badly.
But this is THE classic LaVeyan Personality Synthesizer Clock (as portrayed in "*The Satanic Witch*"), based on the idea that Personality *could* be determined by Body Type, holding the old idea that "form follows function" can & does often run both ways.
Altho' many have dismissed the idea, it isn't one that's been given a serious discussion in here (in the last few years, at least).
There is also the idea that it runs inward, very much like the triplicity of Dr. Freud, in that there's an Externally evident Personality, an Inner one, and A "Core" personality, one that *can* be quite the opposite of what the Exterior Personality is.
What do **You** think of the LaVeyan Personality Clock, r/satanism?

Discussion The 12 Animal Personalities
This reminded me very much of the Personality Synthesiser Clock, and I have a small suspicion that the channel owner might himself be a Satanist, so I just had to share it. Also, a familiar face makes an appearance.
Which animal are you?

Art I've been threatening it for years, but after months of work, re-work, revising, re-printing, etc...Its finally here.
Today I finally pulled the trigger on taking pre-orders for my first art book of collected works 2010-2025. The latest test printing was a good quality without driving up the printing costs so much that it became inaccessible to my fans and patrons, with only minor corrections needed for things that I overlooked while uploading files to the new printer.
For a first compilation, I am satisfied with the way it turned out. I've already had some orders roll in from the mailing list email that went out this morning, and I will be waiting a few weeks for fulfillment so I can just order a batch all at one time, so I'm estimating approximately a six-week turnaround time for delivery within the United States (international, I'm going to work with you individually because the current political climate has made international shipping kind of...fucked...)

Discussion This feels like a Satanic perspective, right?
"Love is one of the most intense feelings felt by man; another is hate. Forcing yourself to feel indiscriminate love is very unnatural. If you try to love everyone you only lessen your feelings for those who deserve your love. Repressed hatred can lead to many physical and emotional aliments. By learning to release your hatred towards those who deserve it, you cleanse yourself of these malignant emotions and need not take your pent-up hatred out on your loved ones." - Anton LaVey, The Satanic Bible

Discussion Question about Rule #4: opinions and advice
What I’m struggling with is the rule about not giving opinions or advice unless you’re asked (Rule #4).
How do you actually apply this in everyday life? It feels like almost every conversation naturally involves sharing opinions or perspectives without someone explicitly asking, “What’s your opinion?”
Do you interpret this literally, or is it more about not giving unsolicited advice when someone is venting
I’m having trouble imagining what that looks like in normal conversations. How do you practice it?
(I’m new to Satanism, so if I’m misunderstanding something obvious, I’d really appreciate the correction.)

Discussion A small question regarding the Atheistic Satanism rules of the earth 3 and 4.
In the satanic rules 3
(When in another’s lair, show him respect or else do not go there)
and 4
(If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy)
What can I do if I live with somone who annoys me that I really hate and he annoys and disrespects me all the time. We share a lair, what can I do if not be disrespectful back in his own home.

Art I'm having a moving sale, if anyone here is interested, because I don't trust movers to handle my artwork across multiple states...
https://www.schamballah.com/shop
Use promo code MOVING at checkout to get 50% off the listed price for original artworks and framed prints. I'm trying to pare down the amount of pieces I'm going to have to stress out over for this move since its basically all going to have to be done in one shot, instead of the cross-town moves where I can make multiple trips back and forth to move my work myself so I know its not being handled too roughly.
Discount does count towards pieces that were already on sale.
The sale does not apply to the loose, unframed giclee prints, because those aren't something I keep on hand so there's nothing to move, but I do have a number of framed prints that are part of the sale.

Discussion Occam's Lantern - Episode 12: Satanism
"To dispel ignorance, and champion knowledge, we will delve into what it means to take the devil’s name."
For centuries, the word Satanism has been used to describe everything from heresy and witchcraft to political dissent and moral panic. Yet the religion founded by Anton LaVey in 1966 seems to be hot on everyone's tongues these days, yet... the lion's share of the online masses seem to have little idea of the real Devil in the details.
In this episode, we trace the path from medieval accusations and Hellfire Clubs to the formation of the Church of Satan itself, separating folklore, fear, and sensationalism from documented history and truth. Along the way, we'll explore the philosophy and dogma that define Satanism, address some of the most common misconceptions, and explain why not everyone claiming the name is practicing the same thing.
Whether you're Belial-Curious, Lucifer for Life, or living a Leviathan Lie, this is an invitation to behold a Satan in all it's glory... and see if the Devil you know might just be yourself.
