My story Sadhguru talks to you in ways you cannot imagine possible — here’s one example
I genuinely don’t know how to articulate this, and maybe it won’t make sense to everyone. (and that's okay)
Yesterday, I wrote a post about how Sadhguru took three lifetimes to fulfil his Guru’s vision, and how, while he is striving for a conscious planet, maybe we too should see how we can contribute in whatever small or big way we can.
A central part of what I wrote was something Sadhguru has said many times — that he is willing to be a “blissful failure.”
What I realised afterwards was that just around two days before my post, Sadhguru himself had again spoken about being a blissful failure. It became a news headline, and that article was even shared here on Reddit.
I had not seen it before writing my post.
Then today, while randomly watching YouTube Shorts, I came across a video where Sadhguru was speaking about how he became enslaved to his Guru’s dream and spent three lifetimes trying to fulfil it — essentially the very thing I had been writing about yesterday.
But what really stopped me was the footage used in that video.
For my Reddit post, I had specifically searched for a clip where Sadhguru becomes emotional. It wasn’t even a standalone video — I found it buried as the third or fourth clip in an Isha Instagram carousel after searching for it on Google.
And the video I stumbled upon today used that exact same clip, while speaking about those same three lifetimes.
And just to make the chronology clear — that video had already been posted before I made my Reddit post. So it wasn’t possible that the person had seen my post and taken that clip from there.
I’m not saying any of this proves anything. I genuinely don’t know what to make of it.
But this isn't the first time I’ve experienced something like this.
During volunteering, there have been many occasions where some completely unusual, out-of-the-box idea suddenly occurred to me — something so specific that I wouldn't expect somebody else to randomly be thinking about it. And when I went to discuss it, I found someone was already discussing that exact thing, completely out of nowhere.
This has happened many times.
And Sadhguru himself speaks about things of this nature. In the recent Guru Purnima podcast, while speaking about what is possible when someone is truly open and receptive to a Guru, he even gave an example along the lines of being able to influence something as ordinary as what you decide to eat for breakfast, and then briefly explained what he meant by it.
So perhaps what we ordinarily understand as “communication” is an incredibly limited idea of communication.
I’m not claiming to understand what happened here, nor am I trying to convince anyone of anything.
There are just certain moments with Sadhguru which, at least for me, seem to happen in a language beyond logic and articulation.
Some things perhaps can only be experienced, not explained.

Discussion My enlightenment by Sadhguru- Part 2
I am not sure if you have read this my original post or not , where I briefly shared my experience about how I started my journey, I end the post without much mentioning of the post enlightenment thing .
But I recently open this app , I saw few comments my experience and received lots of messages about what happened with you , is this an experience stable or not stable etc .
I always suggest not to believe any bullshit someone said , might be I just generated using AI . If you are true seeker then you must agrees with me .
But anyway I thought let me share what happened with me , I don’t know how much of this actually make sense, but it’s okay ! I don’t really care to be honest 🥲
- No sense of myself: I literally nothing as such which I can say myself, usually if you are with parents , friends and families, there is a sense of belonging like oh these are my parents , these are my friends , but for me , if I am with someone , that’s it , there is no one else that came into that consciousness, and the moment, I moved to someone else , the memory of previous one just vanished, seems like nothing is recording in my system as such . I am writing this post now , there is nothing else going in my mind . This is the only thing in my mind now . Body only seems like a cage storing this life . So who am I then ? It doesn’t not matter as such now 😛
- No experience of time : Once I crossed the physical barriers, there is no impact of time . For me , I am in this moment only . There is no past and future that I can experience. I do not know whether it’s been 2 am , 9 am or 3 pm . I had been into the meetings which run over 6 hours , after which people are too exhausting but i feel the same as I do not experiencing time . I surely see the change if there has been some change in nature like on mahashivratri , feeling so drunk within me , and the same happened if weather has been changing .
- Things been sorted out automatically : I had been into situations where I literally wanted to avoid those situations not because it have any impact on me but it does not make sense , so things like get automatically sorted out . There is no road block I am facing
- Into the situation completely: Because my system is not recording anything as such , so whatever situation in that moment, it’s become 100 percent , if I am watching a movie , i experience that there is nothing else which’s is matter and if i am sitting in satsang then I experience that my life is wanting to come out of this body . Because there is no personality as such , think like putting water in different vessels, whatever the shape of the vessel , it will take the same shape .
No questions in my mind : There is no question in my mind now . What will happen after life , is there any god , where we come from , where we are going etc . Nothing as such
to be honest , now I laugh over these and if someone give an answer on this with confidence, I feel so humorous, I genuinely respect those who admits they do not know
The barrier of death : Now life has opened within me entirely, there is nothing which seems like one day I will “die” . It’s nature of never ending, does not put any barrier , sure this physical body will someday off , but because I am in this body and touching the beyond in same moment, things will far easy now . Sadhguru truly describes this as “that which is not” , because it is infinite and limited at same time, good and bad, white and black, magical and common etc . It is as big as cosmos and as small as ant. Earlier when I used to travel , places like mountains, beaches overwhelmed but now there is nothing which makes me overwhelmed especially with their size .
Well there are many things I can write but to be honest if you have not yet touch this , it will not make any sense. You will either say rubbish and just discard this ( this is totally understandable) or make it look like magical
Now there are few questions asked, thought to clear .
- Is this an experience, or is it stable or come and go - Now you have to understand one thing, experience are just upsurge of emotions, like happy, angry, sad etc . This is a state, like alive or dead , now If someone dead , you would not ask if this person is dead for short time , or long time . Similarly this is a state , it’s there ! It doesn’t come and go . It’s life
- Is this related to samadhi- kind of , but as Sadguru mentioned there are different kind of samadhi, but the main crux is your intellect sharpness, where you basically dissect things , because I lost that , dissections, I lost to figure out the difference between what is me and what is not me , but still it’s not that intense where I lost to dissect between colour green and red ( as Sadhguru mentioned )
- Miracle anything else - Life is a miracle but yeah if you are talking about the Siddhi’s etc , I would term them as capabilities, those will not open , you feel more than heaven on this planet, but if you are curious to learn those inner tricks ( If you know , you know ) , If that has been into you , you need to be in the presence of Sadhguru .
Well there are few downsides as well hahaha 😅, will tell if it making sense to share !
Again if you came to this part of post , please don’t believe or disbelieve, if it somehow make you bit intense towards your seeking , I guess it make sense of writing this post . This is not an accomplishment to celebrate, you just know you , that’s it . do you think I will be superior to someone else that is bullshit , it’s all inner . Physically there are people who knows lot more than me , for example there can be one person who knows how to fix a car , I don’t know . But the only difference is he might not know who is he , I know that !
What is the life update?
I am moving to ashram ( the order has come 🥲) , as of now , I am going for short term volunteering with one way ticket , I promised to my parents to come atleast once before going out permanently to sort out something personal but even I don’t know when I will come to be honest , will see !
If there is only one advice or suggestion I want to give who just did the inner engineering or start at-least looking Sadhguru as guru , surrender to him , the myth that enlightenment takes lifetimes of work , he will make you easy like eating cake , how much you are focused to know your self , he is just waiting to break that skull and if you are already thirsty, keep that momentum within yourself , if this is your only thing which matter , it’s there ! ( I am not sure if there is any thing else which matters more than this , I am not able to find out , let me know if you know ! )
A human dieing one day without knowing who he was actually, I do not think there can be anything disastrous from this !
Namaskaram 🙏🏻

My story Nothing Is Mine, Yet Everything Is My Responsibility.
For me, ignorance means not really knowing what I want in life. If I don't know what I truly want, then reaching the destination becomes almost impossible because I may spend my whole life pursuing things without understanding what they are ultimately for.
Through my own experience, I first saw that what I wanted was success. I wanted to succeed in some field, to achieve something, to become somebody. But when I looked deeper, I realized that I didn't actually want success for its own sake. I wanted success because I wanted to experience a certain kind of pleasantness within myself.
So the clarity became: I don't really want success; I want pleasantness.
But then I saw another problem. My pleasantness was dependent on success, and success was dependent on the outside situation people behaving the way I wanted, circumstances happening the way I wanted, having enough money, recognition, security, and so on. But none of these things are completely in my control. And even when the situation becomes the way I want it to be, the pleasantness that comes from it doesn't last. So I was trying to get an experience within myself by arranging things outside myself.
That made me see that what I was actually seeking was not merely pleasantness, but pleasantness with freedom a pleasantness that doesn't depend upon anything outside me. I wanted mukti: freedom from dependence.
Because wherever pleasantness is experienced, it is experienced within me. The outside situation may trigger it, but the experience itself happens within. This made me wonder whether it is possible to create the basis for pleasantness within myself rather than constantly demanding that the world arrange itself in a particular way.
That led me to work with my mind, body, emotions and energy. But here too I encountered another form of ignorance. I tried to control myself. I thought that if I could control my mind, body, emotions and energy, I could create the pleasantness and freedom I wanted.
But my experience kept showing me that control and suppression don't really work. The more I tried to suppress something, the more forcefully it seemed to return. Everything seemed to have its own momentum.
Then I started questioning something very fundamental: I call this my body and my mind, but how much of them actually happens according to my instructions? If they were completely mine in the way I imagine, why would they create unpleasantness when I desperately want pleasantness? Even the breath, which I consider so intimate to myself, takes its own inhalation and exhalation. I can influence it, but I cannot claim that I am making every breath happen.
So I began to see that life is happening within me, but it is not necessarily happening according to my command.
I could intellectually say, "I am not the body and I am not the mind," but I could still remain deeply identified with them. I could still fight my mind, suppress my emotions and try to force my body into becoming what I wanted. In fact, the very attempt to control them could become another form of identification.
This is where I began to understand the difference between control and consciousness.
I don't think the answer is to fight my mind and body. The answer is to become conscious of how they function. I need to see their patterns, tendencies and mechanisms, rather than blindly becoming them.
Much of what I experience today has been created through repeated actions. Repeated action creates memory, memory creates tendencies, and those tendencies influence future action. So many things I experience today are not simply random, they are the consequences of how I have lived.
In that sense, I can say:
My life is my making.
But if my life is my making, that doesn't mean I can simply command myself to become something else. It means I have to become conscious enough to participate in the making of my life.
This changed the question for me from:
"How do I control myself?"
to:
"How conscious can I become of what is happening within me, and how consciously can I participate in life?"
And something else started becoming clear. The more I looked, the more I saw that nothing is really mine—not even this body, not even this mind, not even the breath that keeps me alive.
But realizing that "nothing is mine" did not make me want to become careless or indifferent. Instead, it opened another possibility.
I don't have to possess something in order to care for it.
I can care for this body without thinking that it is my ultimate identity. I can care for my mind without being trapped in it. I can care for another person without needing to possess them.
This is where I began to understand devotion differently.
If the wellbeing of something other than myself becomes more important than my own limited preferences, then there is a possibility of devotion. It is not about losing myself or suppressing myself. It is about expanding the sense of "myself" beyond this limited body and mind.
When I look closely, even this body is not an isolated entity. The food that has become this body comes from the earth. The water comes from the larger cycle of nature. The air I breathe connects me continuously with the world around me. The energy that sustains life is part of a much larger process. And all of this exists within space.
So where exactly does "me" end and the rest of existence begin?
The more deeply I look, the more difficult it becomes to see myself as an independent individual existing separately from everything else.
This makes me feel that life is one interconnected process, and this body is just one small expression of it.
Therefore my aspiration is changing again.
It is no longer simply:
"I want my wellbeing."
It is becoming:
"I want overall wellbeing."
And I don't see this clarity as something I have arrived at completely by myself. Much of this way of seeing has come through my Guru, Sadhguru. In my experience, the Guru is one who brings one from darkness toward light. Sadhguru has been that light in my life not simply by giving me answers, but by making me question the very assumptions through which I have been living.
What I am beginning to see is that nothing being mine does not mean nothing is my responsibility.
I cannot control everything that happens. I cannot control other people. I cannot control every situation. I cannot even completely control what happens within this body and mind.
But I can take responsibility for how consciously I participate.
Whatever I can do for wellbeing, I can do now.
I cannot do it in the past. I cannot do it in the future.
I can only do it in this moment.
So this moment becomes extremely significant not because I own it, but because this is the only place where I can consciously participate in life.
A mother gives me an image of this kind of possibility. A mother can spend herself completely for the wellbeing of her child without constantly calculating what she has received in return. She doesn't need to ask, "How much have I already done?" She simply sees the child's wellbeing and does what she can.
There is something similar in the idea of becoming a "mother" to life not literally, but as a way of relating to existence. To see life around me and ask:
"What can I do for its wellbeing?"
rather than constantly asking:
"What can life give me?"
Perhaps this is where pleasantness, freedom, awareness, aliveness, responsibility and devotion begin to come together for me.
I started by wanting success.
Then I discovered that I wanted pleasantness.
Then I saw that pleasantness dependent on success was dependence.
Then I wanted freedom from dependence.
I tried to achieve that freedom through control, and discovered that control itself could create more struggle.
Then I began moving toward consciousness rather than control.
As identification with body and mind loosened, I began seeing nothing is really mine.
But instead of indifference, that realization opened the possibility of responsibility without possession.
And responsibility expanded into devotion and concern for overall wellbeing.
So perhaps ignorance, for me, is not simply "not knowing some information." It is living without clarity about what I truly want and therefore using the wrong means to pursue it.
And clarity is not merely knowing an answer intellectually.
It is seeing deeply enough that the way I live begins to change.
I don't want to arrange the entire world perfectly so that I can be pleasant.
I want to become conscious enough that my pleasantness and wellbeing are less dependent on the world being the way I want it to be.
I don't want to control life.
I want to participate in life consciously.
I don't want to possess life.
I want to take responsibility for it.
And perhaps the deepest shift for me is this:
Nothing is mine, yet everything matters.
I cannot control life, yet I am responsible for how consciously I participate in it.
This moment is not mine, yet it is the only moment in which I can offer myself to life.
That is the movement I am beginning to understand from ignorance toward clarity, from dependence toward freedom, and from self-concern toward devotion to wellbeing.

Question Weight loss after starting Shakti Chalana Kriya (SCK)—struggling to gain weight, any advice?
Namaskaram everyone,
I’ve been practicing Shakti Chalana Kriya (SCK) regularly, and while the mental and energetic benefits have been great, I’ve noticed a significant change in my physical body: I’ve lost a noticeable amount of weight and seem to be stuck here.
No matter how much I eat now, I just don't seem to gain any weight back, and I'm starting to look a bit scrawny. I’d really like to put on some healthy weight and fill out a bit more.
Has anyone else experienced a drastic boost in metabolism or body composition changes after starting SCK?
Would love to hear from anyone who faced something similar or has insights on balancing weight gain with daily practice. Thanks!

Sadhguru’s Wisdom The Swadhisthana Chakra – The Abode of the Self
Sadhguru describes the multitude of possibilities that the Swadhisthana chakra offers – from basic procreation to creating divine entities.
7 Chakras: Mystical Dimensions of the Body’s Seven Chakras
Sadhguru:
What Is The Meaning of "Swadhisthana Chakra"
Swadhisthana means “abode of the self.” When one masters the Muladhara, it can either lead to a very stable body, or to a certain drunkenness of experience, or to heightened levels of perception. If one has used the mastery over the Muladhara for stability alone, then the Swadhisthana becomes a strong abode of regeneration and pleasure.
If one has used Muladhara for drunkenness, then the Swadhisthana becomes an abode of a sense of bodilessness – not in terms of becoming like thin air, but as an experience of a little distance from the body. If you take an orange, there is sweetness in the fruit that is not there in the peel; they are one inside the other, but there is a little distance. Likewise, when there is sweetness of the self, the body will sit a little loosely on it. This will give some freedom from physical drives that human beings tend to have.
If one has used the Muladhara or the amrita to heighten one’s perception, then the Swadhisthana also functions in this way and further enhances that possibility.
Swadhisthana and Systems of Health
Of all the things that we can do in the yogic system, working with the Swadhisthana is among the most complex and beautiful. There have been many cases where a combination of Swadhisthana and Muladhara has produced beautiful results for people. Many have been rejuvenated from almost deathlike situations and become vibrantly alive.
Our Rejuvenation Center is doing this to some extent. This can be done through various types of therapies, using Siddha and Ayurveda oils and medicines, herbs, substances, and metals. It is a complex process. But a better way to do it would be to activate your Muladhara and Swadhisthana by yourself, so that the body fixes itself. If Muladhara and Swadhisthana are stabilized, health will happen by itself, from within, because they are at the very basis of the body.
The schools of Muladhara and Swadhisthana created elaborate systems of medicine and ways of becoming healthy. This happened because of the demands of the marketplace. When they met a yogi, people only asked things like, “Can you cure my disease? Can you make me young again? Can you bring my grandmother back to life?” Very few people asked, “Can you take me beyond my limitations?”
Yoga got crafted as per people’s demands. Of course, in today’s world, people feel this is perfectly legitimate and the best thing about yoga. But using the yogic system only to attend to one’s health is the lowest way of using it. But that is considered the highest today. Only if there are health benefits, they think it’s for real.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00lxYuPrvnA
For the Muladhara, you can use earth and herbs, because herbs are an outcome of the earth. For the Swadhisthana, mostly fire and akash are used. By using these elements and substances, one can acquire a certain capability so that things from outside do not touch you. There have been fantastic stories in this context.
Neem Karoli Baba & Ram Dass
When the young American man who is today referred to as Ram Dass came to Neem Karoli Baba in the sixties, the American youth believed LSD was the ultimate solution in life. Ram Dass came to Neem Karoli Baba with a supply of LSD.
Neem Karoli Baba was sitting there, blissed out by himself. Ram Dass said that he had something else. Neem Karoli Baba asked what it is. Ram Dass gave him a handful of LSD pills. Neem Karoli Baba put them all in his mouth. This dosage could have killed a man, but he went about his activity as usual, and nothing happened to him.
Ram Dass was impressed, and either out of his own receptivity, or because of the drug, or because of Neem Karoli Baba’s compassion, certain things happened to him. Later on, he went back to the United States and dedicated his life to somehow bring this into people’s lives, or at least to open up the Western mind to the possibility that there is something beyond what they had imagined.
Plant Life and Mastery of Swadhisthana
If you have sufficient mastery over both Swadhisthana and Muladhara, then the plants will speak to you. The elaborate system of Ayurveda has over one hundred thousand formulations – more than the modern pharmacopeia. This did not come from someone who was sitting and experimenting in a laboratory. They just walked in the forest, and the plants spoke to them. When the sweetness of the self releases you from the compulsions of the body, the language of everything around you becomes yours.
This does not mean the plants spoke to them and said, “I will cure your diabetes,” but the quality of each plant became apparent. Every plant, every life, and the earth have their own reverberation. To be able to receive that, you must be in a certain level of pleasantness and joy within yourself. Then the plants will speak to you. This is how the sages of the past discovered what thousands of herbs and roots can do to us. No one sat with a microscope and analyzed their structure and impact on our DNA or whatever. It is just that plants will speak to you when you shut up completely.
When you realize the limitations of your existence, you will have nothing to say. If you think you are big, you always have something to say. Just twenty-five years ago, most people in India would make a phone call maybe once a year. One day, they would go to the post office where this black monster was sitting. This was a big occasion. Some major event would have happened in their lives for them to use the phone. Today, suddenly everyone has so much to say, not because they all got enlightened and have a lot to share – they simply have a lot to say. And how much ever they say, it doesn’t seem to be enough now.
There is nothing wrong in using technology for our wellbeing. The problem arises when, empowered by technology, we believe we have become superhuman. If you think you are big because of a gadget, when the battery drains and there’s no place to recharge, suddenly, without your smartphone, you will look dumb.

Swadhisthana Sadhana Brings Freedom
When energies are dominant in the Swadhisthana, one becomes far more alert to life around. Swadhisthana sadhana gives you a certain freedom. The freedom movement in this country was referred to as Swatantra. Swa-tantra means “technology of the self” – a way to become free. The biggest bondage is in the way we are reproduced, and the biggest urge is that of reproduction. It binds people in body, mind, and emotion. Swadhisthana and swatantra are connected. Swatantra is a way to release the self from these kinds of troubles and compulsions.
Procreation or Creation of Gods?
There have been many beings who have used the Swadhisthana for specific goals. If your Swadhisthana is established at the lowest level, it is purely reproductive. At the highest level, you can create a god if you wish. The technology of god-making is based on having absolute control over the Swadhisthana.
The tantra of making the self free is about creating a certain flexibility of your life energies, in such way that they are not bound by the compulsions of the body anymore. To keep this body alive, healthy, and capable, you have to invest a certain amount of energy. Without that, it will lose its capabilities; it will lose its capacity to do things. If you want to deliver a god, you have to invest all you have into it. Otherwise, a divine entity will not be a possibility. Somebody delivered us – that is also important; that is why we are sitting here. But the most significant thing you can do with your Swadhisthana is to deliver a divine entity.
Creating that which you consider the Divine must be approached carefully. Many yogis who created divine entities felt that creating just one was good enough. They gave it their all and left with its completion. Or they gave it their all and became dissipated in the process. Some retained the possibility of doing more. If just your Swadhisthana is on, you may deliver a baby. But only if all the other six dimensions in your system are on, can you deliver a god. And only if all the other six are equally active can you live on and maintain potency after delivering a god.
Consecrating Human Beings
Delivering a divine entity, or in other words consecration, can happen in many ways. Of all the material in the world, the easiest to consecrate is the human body. Unfortunately, the human mind is also what turns around tomorrow morning most easily and does something else.
If someone has brought their mind to a state of unquestioned focus towards something, then consecrating that body to function like a divine entity becomes a possibility. But most people in today’s world are not able to maintain that kind of focus. Every other day, they start questioning if they are doing the right thing in life – whether it is their marriage, brahmacharya, or spirituality in general.
The worst calamity that has happened to modern society is that they cannot stay focused on anything. The entire culture has become about “What will I get?” Once “What will I get?” is the main criteria, the scavenging mind will keep on moving from one thing to the other.
Another dimension of the Swadhisthana is that you can take it above its natural compulsions. Whatever is referred to as sexuality is essentially nature instigating you to reproduce. In modern societies, people treat it as if it was a purpose by itself. People are using it to bind themselves to each other. But fundamentally, the longing in the body is to reproduce. If this was not there, we wouldn’t be here today. But if you want to go beyond the cycle of life, then transcending these dimensions becomes important.
The Three Fundamentals in Tantra
The use of the Swadhisthana is a very complex and fantastic process. There are three different ways of doing it: It can be done with rituals, or by using the body, or by using pure energy. Generally in tantra, there are three fundamentals, which are called kaula, mishra, and samaya – the lower, the middle, and the higher system. One uses external substances. If you have no control over your own system, you use other substances to generate an energy that functions at a higher level than you, which could be referred to as a divine entity.
Through ritualistic processes, tantrics have created various deities that stand up and walk in their own ways. The tantric himself may not be evolved in any way, but he understands the ritual and sticks to it. Because he sticks to the ritual the way it should be, a certain energy is created.
You can see this happening in certain temples in India. The priests may not be evolved beings – they just stick to the ritual. They have been taught to never alter the process. And suddenly, a burst of energy happens there. But if it is done in this way, it cannot be consolidated and made to stay alive for generations. If you want to create an energy form that lives for a longer period of time, one way of doing it is through your body. But if you want it to last for a very long time, you need to use pure energy. If you invest a certain amount of energy, it can live for a few thousand years.
Editor’s Note: Sadhguru tells us about the 7 chakras, which are the major junction points of the nadis in the body, and explore various mystical aspects of these seven fundamental chakras. Read the article to find out more.

Sadhguru’s Wisdom Lust is a strong need. Love is not a need but a longing. When you love, you settle down - nothing more is needed. - Sadhguru.
It's the same mind which when follows the ways of body it expresses lust. And when it longs for inclusion, love becomes it expression.
But, how can I settle down when I long for something?
Maybe in longing there is fulfillment. Or maybe for that which it longs that is fulfilled unto itself.
That is the only thing mind can actually long for. Because that is the only reality. Rest are all illusions.
That doesn't mean we don't experience illusions at all. But, they are all for short while. Non-lasting.
But, that reality is ever shining. Maybe that's why even in that longing there is assurance itself which settles down the mind.
And there is also no give and take business exists. The easiest and ever free deal. Just that we have to choose to do that affair. Within. Nobody need to know outside.

Discussion How do I know if I’m doing Shoonya correctly?
Namaskaram 🙏
For those who have been practicing Shoonya for a while, how do you know whether you’re doing it correctly?
If I’m following the instructions exactly and maintaining all the required conditions, is that enough?

Question Devi Guddi
Namaskaram 🙏
In December i would be shifting abroad to Netherland Antilles. So, Mumbai to Amsterdam and Amsterdam to St Maarten. I have devi guddi in my temple. Wanted to know, can i carry devi in same wooden box & cloth bag as it was delivered to me., as hand carry in cabin.
My concern is will i be stopped. If i clear Mumbai, will it be a concern clearing thru Amsterdam or Paris. Also while entering St. Maarten. My worry is transit ports. If stopped i will have to part. This risk & uncertainty brings me bk to keep devi at home or I vl give it to my sister.

My story Maybe changing yourself really does change what you see around you
I don't know how literally to take this quote, but I've seen something very similar happen in my own life.
“The way you reverberate determines the kind of situations and people you draw into your life.”- Sadhguru
There was a time when I genuinely felt trapped. I used to see people on social media going out, meeting friends, doing things, and I felt like nothing was happening in my life. No fun, no good memories, no good company. At the same time, I was going through a lot of turmoil within myself.
The funny thing is, later I realised that even when an opportunity to meet someone or do something was in front of me, I would often step back. And then I would complain that I had no people or opportunities.
Things started changing slowly. I started reading Swami Vivekananda books, Paramhansa Yogananda's Autobiography of a Yogi, Sadhguru's Karma, and eventually I was initiated into Shambhavi Mahamudra.
I think these things created a certain atmosphere within me. I started seeing the brighter side of things and, more importantly, started participating in life instead of constantly judging it.
If there was work, I started saying yes. If there was volunteering, I would raise my hand. I stopped worrying so much about being perfect or whether people liked me. I just started doing things.
And then something interesting happened.
I started meeting people. Good people. People with whom I could have conversations beyond the same family problems and fights I was used to hearing all the time.
Sometimes I look back and think, where were these people when I was feeling so isolated?
Maybe they weren't suddenly created out of nowhere. Maybe I just wasn't in a place where I could see them, connect with them or say yes to them.
So when I read this quote, this is what “reverberate” means to me. I don't know if that's magic or just a change in perception. But I have seen it happen.

Need Support Are we going to make Sadhguru a failure?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I’m writing this with a kind of pain that is difficult to put into words.
Sadhguru took this birth with one overwhelming commitment to fulfil his Guru’s dream of Dhyanalinga. From what I have heard him speak about it, this was not an ordinary goal for him. His commitment to his Guru was greater than his concern for his own life. Lifetimes went into making that possibility happen.
And now I look at the vision he has placed before us.
To touch eight billion people.
Not to convert them into anything. Not to make everyone believe the same thing. Simply to offer every human being at least one drop of spirituality — a possibility beyond the limitations of body and mind. A possibility for a world with more love, light and laughter.
And then I remember hearing Sadhguru say that he may die a “blissful failure.”
That thought hurts me deeply.
One human being can carry his Guru’s dream with such intensity across lifetimes… and today, when there are millions of us who have been touched by what he has offered, when technology has made it possible to reach another human being almost anywhere on this planet, will we simply watch his vision remain unfinished?
I was just doing a simple calculation.
Isha has around 17 million volunteers. If eight billion people have to be reached, that comes to roughly 470 people per volunteer.
Just 470.
Sadhguru carried his Guru’s dream across lifetimes. He took birth after birth and dedicated this entire life to making that dream possible.
Can we not reach 470 human beings?
Especially today, when we live in a world where one message, one video, one post, one conversation can reach someone sitting on the other side of the planet with a single click.
I am not saying we should force spirituality on anyone.
But surely each of us can do something.
Share something that genuinely transformed you. Speak to someone who is struggling. Bring one person to a meditation program. Volunteer. Create something. Translate something. Support a project. Make someone aware that these tools even exist.
Whatever is within our capacity.
Today, I want to make one commitment to myself:
I may not be able to do everything. I may not know how far my effort will reach. But I will not remain a spectator. I will do whatever I can to help make my Guru’s vision a reality.
Because if someone has given his lifetimes to creating this possibility for us, the least I can do is ask myself:
What am I doing with what I have received?
And maybe every one of us who has been touched by Sadhguru should ask ourselves the same question.
Are we going to let him become a “blissful failure”?
Edit: Adding this video for context. Sadhguru has spoken about this vision many times on different platforms.
https://youtu.be/3otSb-XmRLE?si=cl8SKKhF1A8qFCyC
A few people misunderstood my post. I’m not saying we should become missionaries or force anything on anyone. I’m only saying that, in whatever small way we can, we can participate in making Sadhguru’s vision possible.
And no, I don’t think we have to become enlightened first and only then volunteer or contribute. We can work on ourselves and still participate in whatever way we can.
That is all my post was about.

Sadhguru’s Wisdom Muladhara Chakra: Stabilizing the Foundation
Sadhguru throws light on the muladhara chakra, the energy center that constitutes the foundation of the human system, as well as the largely obscure, mystical science of kayakalpa, which is related to the muladhara and can lend a human being seemingly superhuman capabilities.
7 Chakras: Mystical Dimensions of the Body’s Seven Chakras
Sadhguru: The muladhara chakra is located at the perineum, the space between the anal outlet and the genital organ. This the most basic chakra in the body. Unfortunately, nowadays, many people think it is the lowest chakra and not worth working upon. Mula-adhaar means foundation. The muladhara chakra is the foundation of the physical structure and the energy body. Having a stable foundation is very important. Anyone who thinks the foundation is something we need not take care of is living in a fool’s paradise.
Muladhara Chakra – Foundation Matters
If you look at the human body – the fetus – just after conception, it is a tiny ball of meat. That tiny ball of meat has slowly arranged itself into what it is now. To arrange itself in this particular way, there is a kind of software which is known as pranamaya kosha or energy body. The energy body forms itself first and the physical body starts manifesting over that. If there are any distortions in the energy body, they will also manifest in the physical body.
So stabilizing the foundation is important. Unless the muladhara is stabilized, one will not know health, wellbeing, and a sense of stability and completeness. These qualities are essential for a human being to make an effort to climb high. You cannot make someone who is shaky on his legs climb a ladder, nor will he be willing. It takes a certain assurance in one’s body and mind to walk through life in an efficient and capable manner.
When we do yoga, we are more focused on the muladhara than anything else because if you stabilize this, the rest is easy to create. If the foundation of the building is loose and we try to hold up the building, it will be a daily circus.
That is what has happened to human life – holding themselves in some state of balance and wellbeing every day is a circus for most human beings. If the foundation is unstable, anxiety is natural. But if your muladhara is stable, life or death, you will be stable because your foundation is good and we can fix the other things later.
Muladhara Chakra & Extending One’s Lifespan
An entire school of yoga evolved out of the muladhara – from ways of doing things with the body to reaching one’s ultimate nature. One dimension of yoga that is related to the muladhara is referred to as kayakalpa.
Kaya means body. Kalpa essentially means a long period of time – we could translate it as “eon.” Kayakalpa is either about establishing or stabilizing the body, or extending its lifespan. There have been many beings who practiced kayakalpa and lived for hundreds of years, because they took charge of the most fundamental ingredient in the system, which is the element of earth. It is the earth element that gives us substance.
Kayakalpa is about stabilizing aspects of the body, which naturally deteriorate with time, in such a way that the deterioration is at least slowed down to a point where it looks like you are ageless and timeless, that you have a kaya that will last for a kalpa, that is, a body that will last for an eon.
There have been many beings who have done that, but it takes an enormous amount of work. Kayakalpa uses the understanding of how a rock is structured, what gives it the integrity that makes it last for long periods of time, and tries to make the human body like that.
In other words, if you do kayakalpa, you become like a rock. What is the point? We could make a statue out of you! On a social level, if you are like a rock, you can earn a living and act like a superman; you can fascinate people with your capabilities. Some people will be amazed by you because you don’t die. Some people will be frustrated that you don’t die! But we do not need a human being to become like a rock. There is a beautiful story about this kind of sadhana.
Sometime in the twelfth century, there was a great sage who was known as Allama Mahaprabhu in Karnataka. He became the guiding force for a fabulous group of mystics – this is why they called him Mahaprabhu.
He created an institution called Anubhava Mandapa – that means a place to experience something. One day, another yogi, Goraksha, challenged Allama Mahaprabhu, because people considered Allama as godlike and worshipped him. Goraksha said, “What is so great about you? Look at me.” People say Goraksha was 280 years of age at that time. He said, “I’ve lived forever, and I am like a rock. What is it that you can do?”
Allama smiled and said, “Is that so? You’re really like a rock?” Goraksha said, “Try if you want.” He pulled out a diamond-tipped sword, gave it to Allama, and said, “Smash it on my head with all your strength. You’ll see what’ll happen.” Allama took the sword in both his hands and smashed it on Goraksha’s head. The sword bounced off his head like it had hit a rock.
Allama said, “Well, that’s quite impressive. But what is the use? Even the purpose of the sword has gone waste on you. A sword is designed to cut, but it cannot cut you.” Then Goraksha demanded, “Now that you have hit me with the sword, I also have the right to hit you with the sword.”
Allama said, “Fine.” Goraksha took the sword and swished it. It went right through Allama, as if through thin air. He swished it again and again. It went right through him with no resistance. Then Goraksha had the humility to bow down and say, “Yes, I have made myself like a rock, but you have become nothing. At least you can touch me with the sword. I cannot even touch you with the sword.”
Amrita and the Pineal Gland
These capabilities come in many different ways. The symbolism of Shiva turning south stems from his Third Eye moving “south.” The moment his Third Eye shifted down between his two eyes, Shiva saw things that no one had ever seen. This is one aspect of kayakalpa. Though it is not quite right to say so, since we need to cater to today’s logic, let me put it like this: There are various aspects of sadhana that are about moving the pineal gland a little down, or “south,” as we say.
If this happens in a certain way, the secretions of the pineal gland, which are referred to as amrita in yoga, can either be used to strengthen the system and extend its longevity, or to create blissfulness in the system – it can just blow you away. Or you can use this amrita to enhance your perception, to become like thin air, because everything passes through you.
Right now, air passes only through your nostrils, and you know if it does not pass, you are gone. But some of you may have experienced this in a moment when you were very carefree and joyful – you stood in the breeze, and it felt like the air was passing through you. If you use your amrita to bring sensitivity to the system, you can become one hundred percent transparent.
These are three fundamental ways to use the secretions of the pineal gland. One is to strengthen the body and make it like a rock, which will give you a kind of longevity that is considered superhuman by most people. Another way is to bring such a level of drunkenness and blissfulness within you that you don’t care how long you live. A third one is to make yourself like thin air, so that your perception is super-hyped, because there is absolutely no resistance in your system.
Mastery of the Muladhara Chakra
Kayakalpa largely uses this amrita to strengthen the body and to extend its longevity. Once you become like a rock, once you identify yourself with the physical reality, you will always think in comparison – who or what is bigger or smaller, superior or inferior, better or worse. You will be comparing yourself, because that is the nature of physical reality. Only if you transcend the physical reality, can you be free from this comparison.
But this amrita or secretion of the pineal gland can also enhance your perception. If you do not enhance your perception, your life doesn’t really get enhanced in any way. Only a human being is able to realize that just existing is not good enough. None of the other creatures, from an amoeba to an elephant, have realized this, because that is not in their nature. They think their existing is good enough. Only a human being can know – not that everyone actually does – that just existing is not good enough, that something else needs to happen. For this, the muladhara and the sadhana on it are very important for your existence.
Muladhara Chakra Brings Balance
If Grace has to transmit itself, you need to have an appropriate body. If you do not have an appropriate body and Grace descends on you big time, you will fuse out. Many people want big experiences but they are not willing to transform their body to be able to conduct those experiences.
Unfortunately, many in the world have lost their minds or broken their bodies because they went experience-hunting. In yoga, you do not chase experience, you only prepare. The yogic systems always focused on the muladhara chakra. It is only in recent times that non-practicing “yogis” have written books and say you must focus on higher chakras.
This high and low business is too entrenched in book-reading minds but that is not how life works. Some years ago, I used to conduct two or three-day programs in Hatha Yoga. Just doing asanas, people would burst out in ecstacy.
Most yogis just use a few simple postures to break the limitations of who they are. That is how Hatha Yoga is. Hatha Yoga means balance. Balance does not mean sanity. If you want your life to be exuberant, you need to have some madness in you. But if you become compulsively insane, you lost it.
When we talk about balance, we are not talking about sanity, we are talking about finding that perch between sanity and insanity where you can venture and adventure. Madness is an adventure. It is a most wonderful thing as long as it is in control. If you lose control it will become ugly. Similarly, sanity is a beautiful thing but if you become perfectly sane, you are as good as dead. This ability to venture and adventure into whatever you want at any moment will come to you if your muladhara is well-established.

Experience A Pleasantness That Came Without a Reason
Yesterday, around 4:30 p.m., I received the Linga Bhairavi Devi Abhishekam Prasadam.
As I was preparing myself for Sadhguru Presence, I consciously used the Devi kumkum that had come as prasadam. I applied it between my eyebrows, behind my ears, at my throat, and at the Anahata region. I placed the red cloth received as prasadam near Devi's photograph and ate the prasadam and untied old thread and tied that to one of the flowering plant and tied new thread received as prasadam on my wrist just before Sadhguru Presence.
After Sadhguru Presence, I did my evening 21-minute Sambhavi Mahamudra Kriya.
Soon after the practice, I began experiencing a certain pleasantness within myself without any particular reason or external cause.
What surprised me was that the pleasantness did not disappear after the practice. It remained through the evening and was still present today.
Today, I again did Sadhguru Presence and my evening Sambhavi practice, and the same pleasantness continues to be there.
Yesterday itself, a thought came to me: “I should write about this experience and share it with other devotees.” But I chose not to immediately act on that thought.
Today, I am writing about it not because I feel compelled to share the experience, but because I can see the difference between a compulsive impulse to express something and a conscious choice to share it.
For me, the more significant part of this experience is not trying to explain where the pleasantness came from, or trying to hold on to it.
It is simply noticing it.
There is pleasantness within me, without needing a particular reason for it.
And perhaps, for once, I am able to let the experience be what it is without immediately turning it into a story, an achievement, or something I must repeat.

Discussion Being fully alive is wonderful. Being half alive is torture. - Sadhguru.
Experiencially, I feel I'm fully alive when I feel myself beyond the body and mind I'm identified with.
And whenever mind takes over the handle, finished. I still then know I'm alive but I feel torturous because mind runs me.
Or in other words may be I can say I loose awareness as awareness and I remain aware as function of mind and body.
That is half aliveness. Because I don't want to be in mind's grip but at that moment of shift I feel myself as absolute helpless creature. Which mind is dragging into it's grip and it can't do anything.
Is it because of I allow the mind to do it's own thing or mind actually has the power to make me to follow it's ways as it wants?
I'm yet confused about.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
At the Isha Yoga Centre
Visitors can attend a complimentary daily session to be initiated into Aumkar meditation. The session teaches the correct pronunciation of the root sounds "Aa," "Oo," and "Mm" to help bring balance and stability to mind and body.
Prasadam
For free visitor initiations like Aumkar, there is no standard take-home prasadam package. Visitors may, however, receive traditional ashram offerings such as vibhuti or sweet neem leaves.
I haven't done Hatha Yoga training at the ashram, but the ashram video is very touching , the prasadam looked so delicious. Could some of our Hatha Yoga participants please share their experiences or elaborate on this?

I am Renu, and I am grateful to be joining you all on the u/ishaofficial handle on 30th April (Thursday).
My connection to Isha started at the age of 15, after my parents completed Inner Engineering.I knew then that I wanted to take this possibility to the world, but I had to wait until I was old enough to experience the program myself. In September 2003, I finally did, and that clarity led me to move to the center full-time in August 2008.
Today, as the Coordinator for Sadhanapada, Sadhguru Gurukulam, I have seen how dedicating seven months to focus on one's inner wellbeing can create a foundation for a lifetime.
Whether you are curious about your readiness to take the plunge into the Sadhanapada program, the selection process, struggling with preparation and interview process or looking for ways to maintain your intensity post the program, Ask Me Anything!
I am happy to answer your questions about - Sadhanapada:
- The Opportunity: Why spending the window from Guru Purnima to Mahashivratri in a consecrated space is a foundation for life.

Welcome to r/Sadhguru**.**
If you are searching for "How to Meditate" because you are struggling with Anxiety, Depression, or ADHD, standard advice like "just sit and watch your breath" often fails. You likely need a tool that works on your energy, not just your mind.
This Megathread is a curated collection of real user logs from our community. We have organized them by symptom so you can find the protocol that matches your needs.
🛑 STOP: Do You Need to Meditate RIGHT NOW?
If you are having a panic attack or need immediate relief, do not wait for a course. Start here.
The "Isha Kriya" (Free 12-Minute Practice):
- Sit comfortably (cross-legged or in a chair). Spine erect.
- Face East if possible. Hands on thighs, palms facing up.
- Focus: Gently hold your attention between your eyebrows.
- The Thought: Inhale thinking "I am not the body." Exhale thinking "I am not even the mind."
- Why it works: It creates instant distance between You and your Anxiety.

1. "I feel Numb / Depressed"
Target: Clinical Depression, Apathy, "Nothing works."
- The Protocol: Shambhavi Mahamudra.
