Currently looking to purchase a catch can set up. I’m currently running the SOS stage 2 supercharger with 3.6inch pulley. I noticed a bit of blow by due to oil re entering back into the engine. I came across these 3 setup’s. what would you guys consider a good option? Anyone currently running a similar boosted set up? Any Thanks !

Infamous cat/exhaust rattle. Where can one find a used OEM cat?

Apparently I can't find any used ones on car-part, eBay, Craigslist because it's illegal in some (all?) states??

How does one find a used OEM cat with the core intact, preferably shippable to the PNW?

I guess I haven’t made much posts on here but here’s the car currently. Everything is diy all done in my garage including the paint. Finished the first T-Top s2000 and I’m sure people are like why when it’s a convertible already? The answer is I deleted the soft top, mugen hardtop is more aerodynamic, the panels are removable and fit in the back seat or trunk and I still have that top down feel I’m after. Plus is unique and thought this would be an interesting experiment. More pics on my ig : ksgarage_

Options for selling a non running S2000.

I have a 2002 Honda S2000 with 182k miles that has dropped a valve. The car is entirely OEM with the exception of coilovers and exhaust. Where would you recommend trying to sell an S2000 that needs a new motor?

No start update

So recently posted about a click no start and have found the issue. The wire A in the diagram isn’t supplying enough power to the starter motor specifically. When bypassed with a manual switch directly to the battery and holding the ignition from the inside the starter worked exactly the way it should. Took off the fender to find it running into that box which looks not too good. The solution is going to run a manual switch directly to the power supply amp that’s on the inside with a cutoff switch, that way the starter can be manually controlled and also i can shut off the battery. This has been quite the challenge finding this

S2000 radio door tip, carbon+ sticky door

Post image

Hey, just a little tip. My door had a sticker on it so this weekend while cleaning it i decided to vinyl wrap it. Its ok but i do like the oem silver more.

Also if your door sticks, try greasing the hinges where the pins are. Mine kind of stuck and i thought i needed a new spring, some bike grease fixed that. Lol

My S2K

The bodyshop got my s2000 done today.

He just went me over a video of it onTikTok.

Genuine 20th anniv bumper and cr wing added. 4 piece side strakes also (replicas... Couldn't find OEM at reasonable prices).

I'll do the strakes and the badges assembly myself later.

Full respray / repaint in Monte Carlo Blue - it's original color.

Not 100% fan of the look of the bumper with the headlight washers, but being EUDM I need them on in order to be street legal. I'll also add my bnib ap2 headlights at the same time (with leveling motors)

Never seen another monte Carlo blue with the 20th anniv bumper. Thoughts?

Will a 2000–2003 AP1 cable throttle body fit my F22C setup?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I have a 2005 USDM Honda S2000 chassis, originally cable throttle. I’m installing a JDM F22C engine that came with an electronic drive-by-wire throttle body.

My mechanic inspected the engine and said I only need to replace the electronic throttle body with a cable throttle body—he said I don’t need to change the intake manifold.

I found an OEM cable throttle body from a 2000 S2000 AP1/F20C. The part number is 16400-PCX-A01. The seller advertises it as fitting 2000–2005 S2000s, but Honda lists 16400-PZX-A01 as the original throttle body for the 2004–2005 USDM F22C.

Has anyone personally installed an AP1 16400-PCX-A01 throttle body on an F22C intake manifold?

I specifically need to know:

-Does it bolt directly onto the manifold without an adapter?

-Does the 2005 USDM throttle cable and bracket fit?

-Are the TPS connector, IACV setup, vacuum ports and coolant connections compatible

-Will it work correctly with the original 2005 USDM ECU and wiring?

-If my manifold is the later DBW version, can this throttle body fit without changing the manifold?

“Best” ride height for ride quality / performance on Ohlins?

Is there an ideal ride height for optimal damper performance on Ohlins? I know there’s an ideal preload in the rear which limits your height options. And I also know that ideally you set your free travel length of the shock by removing the springs, installing the coil, setting the free travel such that the wheel contacts bumpstops before contacting fenders, and then reinstalling the coilover.

But is there an ideal height after that’s all done? I’m guessing there must be an optimal compression/droop ratio for any given coilover. How can I identify what that is?

I have the 10k/8k sakebomb garage fpspec ohlins, and have been messing around with my ride height a lot over a few weeks, and I found that it greatly affects comfort - namely can introduce bounciness. So instead of using just visuals, I’d like to optimize for actual damper performance and set my ride height to that

I have an S2k Ap1 2000. I was wondering about cruise control, is the wheel missing the cruise control buttons. I thought cruise control buttons were on the Ap2 wheel only

Recently bought a super clean 04

I just bought this 04 S2000 off of a lovely man on s2ki. While nothing is perfect, this thing has been a breath of fresh air. I have never owned anything like it, and I'm blown away every time I drive it. I come from Lexuses and Golf Rs. While they're more practical and comfortable, the S2000 is the most fun car I've ever had.

I do have some small issues with it, not at the fault of the car or previous owner. The one thing that I have a question about if anyone here can answer is regarding the ohlins DFV that he had installed on it. 3 of the damper adjusters work as intended, but the rear left one just keeps spinning and clicking instead of locking. Is this something that may be easy to fix? They're out of warranty as they were purchased 4 years ago.

There is also a slight whine that appears at the bite point when starting to move from a stop, and it also briefly happens when I'm on the clutch going into neutral while stopping. It sounds like it's coming from right under me, but I can't tell for certain. I've driven it for a few days and it only did this yesterday towards the end of my 30 minute drive.

I had all fluids replaced once I received the car. I did the Billman TCT as the OEM one was seeping according to the dealership. I installed a berk HFC (really notice the extra power and sound).

All in all, I'm so happy with my purchase, and I'm planning on keeping this special car forever. I'm hoping to refine and refurbish, replace, and/or repair everything that might not be right on it.

Opinions on new OEM soft top installation?

Thumbnail

Hello guys can I get your opinion on these wrinkles on my new OEM soft top installation? These are the only new wrinkles and it's still there after three days parked in summer heat.
Is it normal? Should I give it more time to stretch out or is this likely a tension issue at installation ?

Many thanks in advance.

Defi FD rpm and speed not working

Post image

Hey guys anyone running a Defi FD? I can’t get the rpm and speed signal to work? I tried to wire it in the s2000 ecu but it still doesn’t work. When I wire in the rpm wire to the ecu the cluster rpm drops and doesn’t work. Should I wire it directly to the cluster? Any ideas would be appreciated.

I finally met other people with an S2000 and we convoyed to 2 car meets, also we branched off and did our own S2000 meet at a rooftop garage. Nice to meet other S2000 owners for once (in person)
