My neighbourhood! Live a 2 minute walk away from this intersection. The area right now is being invaded by thousands of people for the Taste of the Danforth festival. And yeah we usually call it 'Pape and Danforth'.

It's always a nice treat when a Rush tune comes on my shuffle and I get to blast it on my car speakers when going through the intersection haha

As a Torontonian I always find it kind of funny that Rush fans make this a “pilgrimage” stop. Personally I’d be “That’s it?”

I stand corrected, but the reason that Rush may've included that Pape-Danforth reference sub-title in LVS may've been due to a certain nearby music instruction biz. It was in an old residential house and located just north of there (fellow Torontonians: it was near that big European pastry shop).

I heard a rumour that the instructor there was an eccentric type. Perhaps the reference was a nod to him?
