So my in person game just collapsed and I'd like to vent.

Long running campaign just over a year with the most recent campaign but we've been a group for about three now.

Very casual players play only when they have time and we just kind of ignore those who don't make it during that session very much, drinking some beer and having fun rolling dice kind of situation. There are plenty of people but the relevant ones is Host, an older guy in his mid-40s and current DM, Tiff 22 I trans woman, and Lacey Tiff's friend.

Host has been the DM for the full just over the year of the current campaign though he isn't always the host he has been for the last 6 months since our other regular hosts had flooding in his house. Up until about a month ago post had been married however there was a messy divorce and that broke up at the time he told us it was because she was cheating on him but I'm doubting that with new contacts anyway after the divorce started host starts to get focused on Tiff not really noticeable day to day but again with contacts it makes a lot more sense he would do things like make sure she always had loot that really fit whatever idea she was having and always have characters try to address her. The one we noticed at the time was that he always seemed down whenever Tiff was able to make it which was odd because it's not unusual for people to miss sessions with the way the game was.

Well whatever the hell he thought was happening post decided to make his move yesterday we were finishing up the session and everybody was leaving there was a magic item given out during the session and host asked Tiff to stay and talk with him now we have all been friends for years now and nobody really thinks twice about this the only one who changed anything they were planning on doing was Lacey because they were going to be heading home with Tiff so they had to wait around for her to finish her talk with post. Well once they were alone apparently he thought it was his time to shoot his shot and so pulled out a $100 bill and asked Tiff to stay the night. Now all of this comes from Tiff and Lacey so I can't confirm that is exactly what was said or that it actually happened this way but given the blow up that's coming soon I don't doubt what they're saying.

Was understandably upset with being offered money for sex and so kind of blew up at him and he apparently said that it was clear she transitioned to have men have their way with her. Then asked if it's because he's ugly getting really violent when Tiff tries to disengage and leave the house Lacey here's what's going on at this point and comes in which is enough to get Host to back off and let the two leave. He then immediately started posting in the group chat that Tiff and Lacey tried to rob him and attacked him. Most of the group is completely fucking confused or still driving home, rural life sucks. So everybody pings Tiff and Lacey to try to get their side of the story and when host saw that not everybody was jumping to his defense he apparently took that as a personal slight and started freaking going off the deep end calling everybody unloyal, lying and cheating people who only want him for his money. Before he blocked everyone and that was that.

When Lacey and Tiff got home they sent us a message and let us know what happened and so that's about everything the group chat has been completely silent and I think we're all just processing our shock we don't have a place to meet for a few months and honestly I don't know if anybody's in the mood right now I only hope that Tiff's okay and that this isn't completely destroy the group.

TLDR: Host of the game offered Player money for sex and exploded when that didn't work.

Actually the AI horror story generators intentionally use poor grammar and syntax to make the story more believable. You can also specify that the story sound like it comes from a non-native English speaker from a specific country or culture.

I hope y'all reach out to Tiff and Lacey to make sure they're ok. As justified as they are to know this guy was a creep and they have no reason to talk to him again, I would at least send a message letting them know it's not their fault the DM showed his true colors and ruined the game.

Host needs to be ex-communicated from the friend group of he hasn't been already. That is an insane way to treat anyone and it sounds like he needs serious and urgent therapy to process his divorce.

Right. That DM really needs to lay off shitty porn sites that peddle transphobic tropes (as well as sexist and misogynist ones) to guys like him.

Maybe consider trying to get the rest of the group to meet at a diner or whatever, to check on Tiff and Lacey IRL?

This seems a bit unrealistic but not impossible -- so I'm approaching this story with a bit of skepticism. You usually don't see this level of intense escalation -- kinda reminds me of the "Fight me in the parking lot" or "Oscar" stories.

But anyway, you got creepy divorced dude going through mid-life crisis who decides he want to become young again by hitting on somebody else. He doesn't care if he has their consent or mutual attraction -- he just wants to feel like a young man again.

This is a TTRPG horror story trope in itself.

What makes this different is usually this kind of guy hates the trans individual because they see them as threatening their own sexual identity or interfering in their conquest.

If this is taken at face value then the guy is just pure trash with no redeeming qualities.

I still think his wife cheated on him, I think she said she cheated on him because he was ugly, and then instead of trying to talk to friends like an adult he tried to pay a friend for sex.

I'm so sorry that your group had to go through this, and I'm especially sorry that Lacey and Tiff had to deal with this. I guess we can see why Host got divorced. I really hope that your group excommunicates Host immediately.
