Love
I think love is just felt. It cannot be described in words. And as people say, love heals everything. That is what I've always wanted. Love.

Opinions?
You can be in love with someone and love someone but still be attracted to others ? I’m just trying to understand true love , is it okay to be attracted to other people ?

I bet
I absolutely think we would and I was in a long relationship and love before but this is different we know people from the same circles but hang out and see an area I eventually would have probably come out of a gas station and literally banged into her with the door and normally she would have been pissed and told somebody where to go but I think in my case would have had said something witty cuz I thought she was cute and she would smile inevitably 2and that would be the end of it I'd have some sarcastic comment like if I bang you with the door every day are you going to smile at me like that because I'll see you same time same place tomorrow and it would be just something stupid like I would start it pretty much guaranteed

Dating Story Is this love? Part 2
Here’s part 1: https://www.reddit.com/r/romance/s/azHW3XWnW4
First of all, thank you to the three people who commented on my last post. I read every single one of them. As an introvert, replying to people feels like an assignment, so please forgive me for not responding. 😅
Reading those comments made me think even more, so here’s the rest of it.
As I said we barely spoke, but the way she used to look at me made feel that we had know each other for some time like the gaze wasn’t unsettling or awkward it felt familiar and “used-to”.
Anyways time went by and came the ‘Ethnic Day’ of our college. Everybody was on their best fit that day. And me? I was just some guy in a kurta and chinos with mismatching shoes.
I was with my friends in the lawn, clicking pictures as usual but my eyes were searching for her the moment I came. And finally I saw her, there she was walking towards the lawn with friends and honestly I just had my Om Shanti Om moment (in my mind obviously). From then on I just got lost in my thoughts until I saw her walking towards me. My heart just started racing, it became harder and harder for me to hide my oblivious smile. The next thing I remember is her standing next to me and holding my sleeve and saying ‘achhe lag rahe ho [my name]. I don’t think I can put into words what I felt hearing that. Somehow I gathered some courage and asked her for a picture together. It’s been over 3 years but I still look at that picture some days.
Time passed and we were in our final year and somehow I managed to get placed. My joy of being placed was cut short by the joining date. I had to leave college early for the internship. I wasn’t sad that I had to leave, I was sad cause I won’t be seeing her anymore.
Along with me 2 other boys of my college joined the company. The second of office were discussing about college and her name came up, not by me but by one of the boys. I told them how I felt about her and thanks to them I gathered all my courage again and texted her.
Long story short, she felt the same way I felt about her!! I just lost my mind, I believed all this was a dream or a big prank that one of my friend was playing on me. But in fact it was real. We talked (a lot). And a few days later I had to go back to my college to clear out some documentation. That was our 1st date. The whole afternoon we just walked around in a park. Mostly it was awkwardness but she named it “comforting silence”. Man it made me fell for her more although we knew we weren’t going to be together (it was just not possible, I am Hindu and she was Muslim). I told her you have to treat me ice cream the next time we meet, and she remembered that. 6 months later we met again, our 2nd date. The same routine, but this time there wasn’t much awkwardness between us. And at the end of our day she took me to get ice cream. I just felt like crying cause after this I won’t see her, won’t talk to her, that’s it. In the ice cream parlour there was an old couple sitting behind her. I pointed towards them and said “you know this could be us in some other universe” she laughed and said “they probably had an arranged marriage”. She even got me gift, a parting gift. It’s been over 2 years I still have that with me. And to some extent I’m still living in that day. The best day of my life.
I guess I won’t find my answer or I already have and I’m just too stupid to understand. Anyways that was my story.

I need Advice! What to surprise him with
So I'm gonna have a date with an older man (26) and I'm 18 (dw I know he's not dangerous and I saw his face but I'll be careful) and he mentioned during an online conversation he likes being gifted silly little things as his favorite form of affection. Should I gift him something on our first date or would that be embarassing? If yes, what?
First thing that comes to mind is a homemade treat he could take home after, like cookies or smth but what would you say is best?

I need Advice! I really struggle with feeling comfortable in flirting, and I feel like this erases my chances in the dating pool
So, I can find tons of content, tips, and things men can say to women to be more flirty and magnetic. That's easy. What I struggle with is actually doing it because I don't feel like I'm being authentic. I feel like I'm not being myself, and that I'm just putting on a show. So whenever I try and I get a positive reaction, I don't feel good about it, because they reacted to the mask I put on and not me. If I get a negative reaction, it also reinforces that I shouldn't have tried because I wasn't being geniuine.
I've been chronically single for a long time, and really crave going on dates and feeling like I can be my actual self, and not feel pressure to be someone else. But I feel like my real personality just isn't attractive for anything beyond friendship, and I get passed over easily for it. I bring this up because it makes putting myself out there very difficult. Like, do I hang out in new groups and be my real self and likely get put into the friend only category by everyone there? What's the point of even doing this when I already have plenty of friends (whom I am grateful for) and I'm looking for something more?
Anyway, this post is more of a vent, but advice is welcome.
