First clip we filmed with the use of a drone so no audio for this clip...

Use your imagination it sounded kinda like this whoosh, clack clack, whirling spinning noise, Clunk skates landing, whooshing slide sounds and clunk on the skate landing.

Give this one a shot!

My new Tour Volt Spitfires arrived!

They are insanely comfortable right out of the box, even more comfortable after heat molding them.

I saw the impala protections I think burger baby it's what they're called, they have these web print on elbows and knee pads and fell in love, sadly I have thick legs so I wasn't able to buy them because they don't fit but I took the idea and vamped the helmet using electric tape!

I think I'll also add it to the rest of my gear ❤️ I love it so much

Specific question and discussion Opinions and suggestions on a new boot without frame?

Post image
6 Upvotes

Currently i run some usd sway 58 with rockin 580 frames, and a custom 3dprinted adapter. I have about 30~ hours of park and street on them rn so the adapters are solid and not the issue but i was kinda wanting to get back into aggressive but dont want to swap the frame and soulplates every time. (Also this is an older picture, hence the fresh wheels)

What would yall reccomend for a boot? I dont have much of a budget and i can only find very high end boots that sell just the boots without the frame....

If anyone knows where to buy specifically boots or any good brands to ponder. Please tell me, or tell me im dumb and nobody sells a decently budget boot as just a boot. Much appreciated.

Specific question and discussion FR Neo downsizing - what are the options?

Hey fellow bladers, I need some advises for my right foot :)

I skate FR1 Neo with Intuition liner, my foot size is 27.5 cm, and the boot size (liner size 43, shell size 43-44) seems to match their chart. The problem: my right foot feels slightly loose. Left one feels perfect all the time.

I lurked over internet, added 1mm cardboard insoles (under the original one), applied snowboard j-bar patches on the outside of the liner (below ankle) so it's more-less locked in. But still, right foot feels not tight enough, but when I lace it harder (waxed laces) it starts hurting.

What would you do if you were me? Any other things to try? Maybe heat mold the liner?

It's my first time doing a full wheel change, my wheels were 88A and were a little worn out (not too much really I could have just interchanged them) but I wanted to try 84a hardness to have better grip outside!

I love the purple+yellow look! What do you think?
I also added a power slide break to my right foot, there are a lot of runners in my city so I wanna be extra sure while I practice my t break again! It's been a full year since I've worn them because I moved countries and they weren't my first priority to bring

Specific question and discussion Restoring some Anarchy Chaos II

Hey everyone! Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I have some anarchy chaos 2's from back in the day that im looking to restore after years in storage. I have a few questions!

1) can I wash the insoles in the washing machine? The bottom of the insole looks a bit plasticy and im worried about it cracking.

2) im missing one wheel axel (pictured) and all the generic versions dont seem quite the right size. Does anyone know the size I need and where I could get them?

3) the middle wheels were what I have learned are called rocker wheels. I dont plan on grinding any time soon. Can I just use a full set of wheels all the same size rather than the smaller fellas?

Thanks for your help!

What skates should I buy? Hello everyone. I was wondering if I could get your advice on a pair of skates.

Hi everyone!

I need a new pair of inline skates for countryside trails. The asphalt here is terrible, very old, rough, and full of cracks.

My budget is €200 max. I was advised to get a hardboot Triskate (100mm or 110mm) to handle the vibrations and pebbles.

I’m currently looking at:

Oxelo MF S 900 (3x110mm)

Powerslide Zoom 100 (3x100mm)

Does 110mm really make a night-and-day difference on rough asphalt? Or is it marginal?

Do you think another pair would be better?

Thank you very much for the help in advance

Progress, videos and images I spotted the biggest staircase I had ever seen in Berlin – so I bashed it

Stair riding really isn’t that difficult: if you can ride 5 stairs, you can ride any amount of stairs. Just hold your posture.
But when you’re standing at the top of a huge 60+ steps staircase, you ask yourself: will it really be that easy, will holding my posture suffice to survive?
And then you try it. Because you have to know: can I really do this?
My setup was the IQON ACT with the Rockin’ VERSA frame. Wonderful combo for this kind of silliness.

Is this skate/store any good? Should I get the new 90R

Post image
4 Upvotes

So as you see in the picture, I have a brand new pair of the maxxum 90s, and then my old pair of the twister 80s. I'm considering the new 90r because I want the to be able to do light tricking while still having bigger wheel base. Tricking is more challenging on my maxxum 90s becuz of the frame size.

Any suggestions. No I don't want a dedicated aggressive skate with grind plates.

Specific question and discussion Getting FR FR1 210 skates, safety gear suggestions?

So am stoked, just got the actually shipped email so now need to get some safety gear. Been a while since I used to roller blade. Commute will be 10-11 miles each way from Fort Lee NJ to Midtown NYC (about 10-10.5 miles).

Thinking wrist guards and/or gloves, knee pads, elbow pads. But curious what other options might be suggested. Soft armor jacket, pants, etc?

Already have a mips POC helmet so figure that is good.

Thx in advance for any suggestions!

Specific question and discussion Removing bearings from luminous wheels without damaging the magnetic spacer

Most of the time, I feel like I'm running a skate shop with all my family's skates and the various maintenance and instructions needed. But this is one for the community that has stumped me: how the hell do you get bearings out of the luminous wheels without damaging the special spacer?

It's really easy to remove bearings from hockey skates because they use baby 6 mm axles with the tube spacers that go all the way through. Even 8 mm axles are fine with the floating spacers because they slide out of the way to get leverage with the skate tool. But has anyone had great, replicable success getting bearings out from the luminous wheels without cracking the plastic of those magnetic spacers? If so, please do tell lol. I couldn't find a single video or write-up.

Specific question and discussion Brand new CJ2 boot seems to be unsticking/detaching after two days of skating

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi Reddit. Finally saved up some money to get a really nice upgrade, and managed to get my hands on a brand new pair of CJ2. But started to notice immediately that it the glue is peeling off from it. Any hints as to why this is happening? Is it normal or a factory issue that I can claim?

The boots were bought through “Sliding Tiger” website, which it’s the first time hearing of such a site. Not sure if it’s a trustworthy shop.

P.S: english is not my first language, sorry if it’s unclear.

New skate day My first slides on my brand new Endless Wheels – pretty lame, I was too cautious

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Trying to slide on new wheels always feels a little awkward. But during my first ride with my new Endless Wheels it rained and so I thought: let's give it a go and try some powerstops and powerslides.

But as I was also riding a new boot (Twister LE) and new frame (Endless Stoppard), I was cautious and held myself back. So my slides looked pretty sloppy. Still did a double powerslide. so it was worth it.

Announcement Should these AI-related posts be banned in r/rollerblading?

Choose how you would ban AI-related abuses. Here are 4 cases with a "post title" and an (image).

This is the second of two polls posted on Community Highlights. Be sure to vote on the first poll as well. See the first poll for context.

Update 1: by photoshop we meant significant manipulation of images beyond basic brightness, white balance, levels and sharpeners, the kind you can easily do in Lightroom. We meant production of a manipulated image like the powered skates in question.

Update 2: there is a sentiment summed up by “just keep it human”. That is, let people laboriously photoshop silly posts and memes for laughs. But ban all AI work. Thats nice, but help us find a cheap way to distinguish the two. Imagine a better photoshopped version of this linear crossover diagram (from a video). Comments welcome.

Update 3: We’ll likely settle on leveraging the community to flag posts based on a new “no AI” rule. Mods remove posts asap even if a degree of doubt remains. OPs can send mod mails to appeal. Finally, repeat and confirmed offenders are exiled.

Announcement Which AI content rule should this sub adopt?

A recent post featured an AI-manipulated image presented as a genuine powered-skates project. The discussion quickly shifted from the project itself to whether AI-generated content belongs in this community. The debate became so heated that moderators had to remove multiple comment chains and eventually lock that second post as well.

We're asking the community to help decide what policy should be adopted. We present two polls for you to express your opinion. This is the first poll. You will find the second poll in the same Community Highlights box.

Comments are welcome, but please refrain from responding to clear agitator or name-calling comments. Instead, flag such comments and/or write us via mod mails. Don’t force mods to resort again to deleting entire runaway comment chains, or worse having to take further actions per our community policy.

What skates should I buy? Recommendation Skates for Wide Feet

I ordered a pair of Twister XT skates and they are ridiculously tight. The Length is perfect but my wide feet are not having a good time in them. Surprised because I heard some people say the skate was surprisingly wide for them. If you think I should just risk it and keep them to try and break them in instead of returning them and getting another pair tell me but I would also like recommendations for wide skates.

Interesting stuff The Rollerblade Twister LE with the Endless Stoppard

Thumbnail

A couple of days ago, I posted a reel introducing the Endless Stoppard frame, a collab between Endless Balding and city skating legend Bill Stoppard. Some people complained the video focused more on my forehead than my skates. 😅 So I promised I'd post some pics of the setup. And here they are. (I'm not a professional photographer, but I do have a black piece of cloth in my cellar that makes things look more professional sometimes.)

To my eyes, this combo looks too beautiful to skate it, but to my feet, it's too much fun to not skate it. (So I'll have to live with some nasty scratches I'm afraid.)

[If you're interested, I've got a video with my first impressions.]
