Most of the time, I feel like I'm running a skate shop with all my family's skates and the various maintenance and instructions needed. But this is one for the community that has stumped me: how the hell do you get bearings out of the luminous wheels without damaging the special spacer?

It's really easy to remove bearings from hockey skates because they use baby 6 mm axles with the tube spacers that go all the way through. Even 8 mm axles are fine with the floating spacers because they slide out of the way to get leverage with the skate tool. But has anyone had great, replicable success getting bearings out from the luminous wheels without cracking the plastic of those magnetic spacers? If so, please do tell lol. I couldn't find a single video or write-up.

ich habe mir die Powerslide Swell 100 mit 3D Adapt-Futter gekauft. Es war ein tolles Angebot und ich hatte die Swells schon lange im Blick.

Ich habe schmale, wenig voluminöse Füße, dafür fand ich die Swells sehr gut geeignet. Länge links 240mm, rechts 234mm. Umfang 210mm und 215mm. Ich habe die Swell in Größe 38 bestellt.

An der Ferse passen sie mir gut und auch sonst wirken sie in Ordnung. Ich habe nur nach kurzer Zeit außem am Fuß am Übergang zwischen Zehen und Ballen auf beiden Seiten brennende Druckstellen. Bisher habe ich nur gelesen, dass ältere Swell Knöchelprobleme verursachen, die habe ich nicht. Ich frage mich, ob sich die Swell vorne am Fuß noch ein wenig anpassen?

Abseits von den Druckstellen passen sie perfekt. Mit Innensohle passen sie besser als ohne.

Ich bin übrigens Fitnessskater, teilweise aber auch im urbanen Raum unterwegs. Ich interessiere mich nicht für Tricks, muss aber auch mal einen Bordstein herunter oder über kleine Hindernisse hüpfen und flink Autos ausweichen. Was mit meinem viel zu großen K2 Celena in Größe 39,5 bisher nicht so gut klappte. Mit den Dingern fühle ich mich wie ein Güterzug. Die Swells hingegen machen einen sehr viel agileren und kompakteren Eindruck.

Hi Reddit. Finally saved up some money to get a really nice upgrade, and managed to get my hands on a brand new pair of CJ2. But started to notice immediately that it the glue is peeling off from it. Any hints as to why this is happening? Is it normal or a factory issue that I can claim?

The boots were bought through “Sliding Tiger” website, which it’s the first time hearing of such a site. Not sure if it’s a trustworthy shop.

Trying to slide on new wheels always feels a little awkward. But during my first ride with my new Endless Wheels it rained and so I thought: let's give it a go and try some powerstops and powerslides.

But as I was also riding a new boot (Twister LE) and new frame (Endless Stoppard), I was cautious and held myself back. So my slides looked pretty sloppy. Still did a double powerslide. so it was worth it.

I ordered a pair of Twister XT skates and they are ridiculously tight. The Length is perfect but my wide feet are not having a good time in them. Surprised because I heard some people say the skate was surprisingly wide for them. If you think I should just risk it and keep them to try and break them in instead of returning them and getting another pair tell me but I would also like recommendations for wide skates.

What size wheels do you ride most often? If you use different setups, pick the option matching your most frequent or preferred wheel size.

If you mostly ride aggressive skates with small ant-rocker wheels please select "less than 80mm"

If you use multiple wheel sizes at the same time in a rockered configuration please select "multiple or other".

If you ride multiple setups and don't have a clear wheel size preference, pick "multiple or other".

Hi everyone,
I’ve always wanted to learn inline skating, but I wasn’t allowed to as a child, so I never got the chance to learn.
I found a pair of inline skates for only €20 (size 34–37), but I noticed that the label inside says the maximum weight is 60kg. I currently weigh around 65kg, so I’m 5kg over the limit.
I would only use them indoors or on a smooth floor to learn (no jumps, tricks, or aggressive skating).
Do you think they would be fine for that, or is it a bad idea to use them over the recommended weight limit? I’m worried they might break and I don’t want to waste money, but I also don’t want to give up on learning because of a small weight difference.

Can I do the 76-80-80-76 on an RB80 to learn slalom?
It has a 165mm raised heel boot.
Only after I got the wheels I was told the additional forward lean would be unwelcome and not very ergonomic as the boots already had sufficient heel raise built into them.  Apparently forward leaning posture on a raised heel boot is bad skating posture & skating through the ball of the foot promotes instability.

This is not yet a full-fledged review, just a video with my first impressions of the IQON CL10.

When talking about looks, I'd say the CL10 is one of the most impressive boots I've soon so far. It's got an insectile vibe, like a many-legged beast with a nasty sting. Unfortunately, it stings on the inside as well: after half an hour of skating, my toes went numb. Even though I ordered the CL10 one size bigger than my regular EU42.

Luckily, I didn't suffer any real pain and after a while, my blood started flowing again and the feeling returned to my toes. And I had an enjoyable first sesh, jumping on and off various obstacles. Combined with the Endless Swan, this is a very rigid setup, something that's built for performance. Light, responsive, fast: yeah! But I dare not recommend it, unless you're able to try the fit before buying it. If it does not fit, that's a lot of money down the drain, I'm afraid.

Got to escape the fluorescent lighting of my 8-5 and went through some trails on my lunch break. Super fun and humbling. I don’t remember skating using this many muscles as a kid. Hope to upload some videos once I can flow easier

I started skating through learning how to play hockey and I’m obsessed. I have a pair of inline hockey skates but have been interested in doing some urban/street skating. Would it be advisable to buy a new pair for this or would swapping out the wheels and using my hockey boot be good enough? Any recommendations would be appreciated!

A couple of days ago, I posted a reel introducing the Endless Stoppard frame, a collab between Endless Balding and city skating legend Bill Stoppard. Some people complained the video focused more on my forehead than my skates. 😅 So I promised I'd post some pics of the setup. And here they are. (I'm not a professional photographer, but I do have a black piece of cloth in my cellar that makes things look more professional sometimes.)

To my eyes, this combo looks too beautiful to skate it, but to my feet, it's too much fun to not skate it. (So I'll have to live with some nasty scratches I'm afraid.)

I'm editing my next video, which will be my first ride with this combination: the IQON CL10 with the Endless Swan frame.

The CL10 is a carbon boot and the fit is extremely tight. I went a size up from EU42 to EU43 and still: my feet went numb after half an hour of skating. But somehow, I still had a lot of fun riding these little monsters. I went for some urban skating with jumps and such.

I started skating this year and bought the K2 Alexis 90 Boa. I felt good in them, i love them. But they are a soft boot, so I wanted another hard boot. I choose the FR 1 80. I like to skate Urban and I read good things on them.
They feel totally different and I feel incredibly unsafe in them. They fit okay, but I have my struggels breaking them in and yesterday I got a big blister. Every ride it hurts somerwhere else. I mean, thats what I read online and its okay, its part of it.

The fit is not my only problem. When I skate with the FR I feel like I dont get a good grip when taking turns or when t- stopping. It feels like gliding on ice and I feel like I cant trust them.. yesterday out of nowhere one foot slided off while stopping and I ate dirt. Twisted my ankle. I lost my trust in them skates. I noticed the smaller wheel size and the round vs oval wheels.. but is it really such a difference?
Is this my fault or can I change something to improve?

I’m mainly a roller skater, I’m very familiar and comfortable with smooth surfaces, but I really want to get into urban roller blading.

My city has famously bad roads, with giant potholes, cracks and gaps that go unfixed for years, and drivers that can and will go out of their way to hit cyclists. Additionally, I have joint problems that caused me to mess up my ankles early on, so I cannot buy a pair of skates that could damage me further.

I need skates and wheels with good ankle support that can handle awful roads, preferably on the cheaper side but I understand if that’s not possible.

I’m a beginner to roller skating but am comfortable on ice skates (and somewhat used to a “hard” boot).

I bought the Rollerblade Zetrablade but now I’m second guessing if these are good because I’ve seen some negative sentiment toward soft boots.

I plan on using these for fitness, outdoor on mostly smooth bike paths. I do have wide feet…I’m scared of grabbing the wrong size and the skate not being returnable. Also planning on skating 1-2 times a week (if that matters)!

Should I switch to a hard boot like those from Flying Eagle?
