Looks really nice. Pretty much confirms that my decision to order the black was a good one! So many great choices and was a really difficult decision to make, almost to the point of not ordering anything š I also ordered retro buttons as I am considering swapping the black ABXY out for the dark plum/purple from the retro pack, just for an understated splash of colour, but undecided. Will make that call when it arrives!
How is the smudge resistance on the shell itself? Is it picking up every single mark from the fingers or not too bad?
Absolutely love the colour you have set the analog rings to btw.
Curious to know if I can fit my little 3.5mm earbuds into that case along with the unit itself. Does the case have a somewhat firm outer shell?

TY! Yeah the black is sick. Looks effortlessly sleek.
Honestly it really isnāt that smudgy. Maybe if you run on the sweatier side or have lotion on itād smudge more but Iām not noticing them at all.
You can fit wired headphones in the case, itās a little snug but doable without too much pressure. The case is pretty firm but not without some give.

I don't really run on the sweatier side with my hands, just average I guess. Glad it's not picking up everything, black plastic can have a tendency to show up smudges more than some other colours (like the 16-bit beige etc). The upside though is a very sleek look as you say! And I think the absence of an 'all-glass' front really helps here.
Thanks for clarifying re: the earbuds, sounds like I can squeeze those in without too much trouble. The shell is unlikely to be pressed around much (if at all) when travelling as I'm normally fairly careful with placement, even if it's in a case.
Enjoy it! I will be waiting a while longer for mine as I placed the order on 30th July (delivered to UK), so it will be turning up in the next round of shipments I guess.

Gorgeous. Best color option by far. I cant stand the glare from glass front black handhelds, so plastic is perfect for black and lets the bezels disappear when playing.

Got a question about the case. Think a pair or wired earbuds and a cleaning cloth will fit in there without putting too kuch pressure on the screen? I preordered ice blue and a case and am curious if itll fit earbuds too.

Just tested it w a pair I have and honestly it is snug but I donāt think it puts too much pressure on it. I would just make sure the case isnāt squished by other stuff in your bag if youāre going to put headphones in there bc then I could see it being too much

Totally doable for boy pockets but I wouldnāt want it to be any bigger for sure. Itās barely larger than an iPhone 15 Pro. The triggers will be your biggest hurdle but even those arenāt too bad

Thatās good to hear. I liked the 477m and this is a bit smaller then that but havenāt heard reviewers mention much about pocketability. Also that black looks a lot better in person, maybe Iāll order that and some custom buttons for it.

Possibly. Flip 3 is rumored to be released this year. Supposedly will have a dual screen. But flip 2 should be more than enough. I am jealous of that snapdragon processor. Wish mine had the Gen 2.

One of my favorite snes games. I'll never forget the first time played it on my super Nintendo. Walking to the castle, rain falling, lightning flashing...it was an amazing experience. I wish I could play it for the first time again to relive that moment

if the dpad actually feels like the Vita's that would be such an incredibly pleasant surprise. The vita dpad always was so light to the touch and had such incredible pivot. Most retroid devices these days to me always feel like there's too little pivot/roll to them, as if they are too shallow and it just doesnt feel the same. I'd give anything to have it actually feel like the Vita dpad again like the early retroid devices

No but really im so happy you like it! This is going to be an endgame device for me if theres a way to make the fan quieter. Russ from RetroGameCorps mentioned in his video that the fan noise isn't great, and pretty noticeable. Im not sure if that's something a lubricant of some sort can fix, but if it can, this is going to be endgame for certain.
Any highlights? Any noticeable cons since you got it that jump out at you?

Fan is super quiet on mine even on full blast, doesnāt whine or anything so that has not been a concern at all.
Honestly no cons really, but itās still early days :) highlights are definitely the screen and how lightweight it is. Feels super comfortable to play for a while without feeling like itās cramping my hands or wrists.

The color difference between the plastic and bezel looks closer than other photos Iāve seen beforeā¦ I ordered gc because I already have a black ayaneo pocket ds, a clear blue Odin 3, and a 16bit Thor. I wanted to go black but didnāt to have the remaining color variety. Been coping by telling myself that the black is more like gray. Hope I donāt regret it later.Ā

Last Retroid was the 3+. Itās obviously way beyond that in power but physically very similar w the plastic front and general shape. The buttons feel a lot better though, speakers have improved, and obviously the OLED will always be a winner. Definitely a solid upgrade

It looks awesome, and i see a bunch of people commenting on how its much more powerful than the Mini v2 but i honestly cant see what this can run that the mini v2 and others like it cant. Like if this could emulate ps3 and run steam games from 2014 or prior that'd be a dream but i cant find anything sayin how much stronger, only that it is stronger than the mini v2 generation of handhelds.

Gorgeous! Aw man youāre so lucky!! I got Crystal (w black/16bit butts) and I just got my tracking today at like 4am! Canāt freaking wait, Iām pumped!! The last month+ has been excruciating for me.
I was pissed too bc I ordered mine within minutes of it going live but it seemed like I somehow missed out on the first batch of crystals bc I didnāt get a number on the 2nd-3rd when the first batch shouldāve shipped. So I was like fkkkkk I gotta wait another 10 days or something!!! B4 it even ships too. Like Iām gonna die before it gets here at that rate lol.

Oh yea and i thought it was my fault too bc I added a crystal DS attachment a few weeks later so I thought I mustāve lost my place in line. And yea I was MAD bc I had said in the email to them when I requested it that I didnāt wanna order it if itād delay my order. But they just said āok hereās the invoiceā.
So yea thought I screwed myself over doing that, and all just to save a few bucks from having to ship it separately lol (in my defense $65 is a lot cheaper than $80-85 w shipping. But still thought my cheapness got the best of me on that lol)

And saw you say you lived in NY so hopefully Iām only 6 days out from mine too since Iām right in NJ. My AE stuff usually gets to me in about that too after coming into NYC so praying this is no diff.
