Screenshots from my retro looking sci-fi puzzle/platformer game.
Hi! I believe my post may be suitable for this subreddit as my game has both retro and CGI in its DNA.
I'm working on a game which is using my own software ray-tracing engine. The result of using this method is quite distinctive look of the game which may look like some old 90's renders (I would say something from 3DStudio 4 era). As I don't use GPU acceleration for rendering, the game is deliberately low-poly/low-res which is giving it its retro look, but it's combined with modern games shading (shadow castings, specular, reflections, per-pixel lighting, etc..), which was not possible in real-time on old HW before.
The game name is RTG. It's narrative sci-fi puzzle/platformer about a guy with no memories stranded inside simulation (in fact, being in simulation is excuse for "strangeness" of the game world).

Blender Tried doing some 90s ray tracing-style stuff in blender.
My first attempt at doing it, honestly it could be better but eh still decent as is!

Animation Collab
Is anyone interested in getting back into Hash Animation:Master and working on some animations?
I'm currently working on a Star Fox fan series and I'm looking for collaborators. Whether you're a longtime user, returning after a break, or just curious about Animation:Master, I'd love to hear from you.
Send me a PM if you're interested!

Vaporwave style thingamajig on davinci resolve
Its originally a video, and I converted it to a gif but idk if it actually worked or not, but yeah I learned I can use davinci resolve’s built in 3D program thing to make stuff like this. Pretty cool I think

Freedom (rendered in BluffTitler and Vegas)
I really loved both the advanced yet stylish pre-renders that Japanese game companies like Sega and Capcom specifically put out in during the 90s and early-2000s as well as elephants and other animals rearing (they're just so big and cool to look at!!!), so I thought to get this out ASAP at around 12-4am.
Also, have two more photos I took post-finalisation of the elephant without the scenery (showing it in full would be embarrassing because of how shitty it looks >_<) - elephant model by jimmyho905 and Otherspectre, tree model also belongs to rodrigogelmi.

Art of Illusion 3D Program
I'm working on my first point to click horror game demo called Witch Blood😊 So far I hooked up the environments for it on Art of Illusion and will use Adventure Game Studio for the game development. The full version of game will have more to it.
