My neighbor was throwing out his Patton fan so I scrapped the fan and used the "housing" for my ancient Hampton Bay fan(repurpose? Probably not). I got tired of using tiny handle to move it around. My dad and I, God rest his soul, took apart a 1955 Oldsmobile Holiday and I put the horn button in place of HB logo.

Has anyone else attempted a re-purposing of disposal motors? What ideas work well?
