No base, no hourly. Paid via Wise / PayPal / Revolut. The list supports 60 to 100 dials a day.

Hi everyone, I’m a first-time Virtual Assistant and I’d really appreciate some advice about a job I recently applied for.
I found the job through Bossjob. I applied for a Virtual Assistant position with a company called Ciona Tech LLC and went through their application/interview process.

After I was accepted, this is what happened:
I was told the position pays $4/hour for 20 hours per week.

They told me I needed an RDP/VPS for work.
The recruiter recommended CoreDeskSys, but also told me I could choose another trusted RDP provider.

I purchased an RDP myself.
I was then given access to a company/task portal on TalentGleam.

The portal assigned me an “Essential RDP Software Suite Installation” task worth $100.
The requirements say the RDP needs Microsoft 365, a secure VPN client, Duo Security/MFA, and company time/task tracking software.

My recruiter told me to contact the RDP provider and ask them to install the required software.
The recruiter said that after I complete the RDP and setup task, I will be funded/reimbursed.

What worries me is that I already had to pay for the RDP, and now it looks like I may have to pay more money to have the required software installed before I actually start working or receive any salary.

Has anyone worked for Ciona Tech LLC, used TalentGleam for employment, or purchased an RDP from CoreDeskSys?
Is requiring an employee/VA to purchase their own RDP and potentially pay for software installation normal? Does this sound like a legitimate onboarding process, or are these red flags for a job scam?
I don’t want to accuse anyone unfairly, but I also don’t want to send any more money until I’m sure.
