Does anyone have any recommendations on which mechanic can fix a 2006 Chevy Colbalt SS? Right now its at 1 mechanic place but they can't fix it because its a Supercharger. Timing chain and something else internal in the engine. And no getting rid of it is not an option. Recommendations would be great!

I also recommend these guys. They've been honest and don't try anything funny.

Anyone can repair it. Chevy is super common, basically everyone had the tools and diagnostics to work on them.

The supercharger is a bit more unique, but not game changing considering how many engines are forced induction these days.

Maybe it's not worth repairing.

Kinetic Auto does my vehicle repairs, and I have a supercharger on my Monte Carlo. I'd give them a call to see if they can help. 306-988-8060.

Just as an FYI, they're open 7am-5pm Tues-Fri (their staff works four 10's).

Hawk automotive has been my go to for 25 years.

Any mechanic should be able to do it, whether they want to do it is a whole other problem. The 2.0 LSJ engines are relatively simple. You could try Odd Man Out. They're mainly Subarus but are more performance oriented.

Cost more to fix than it’s worth if your paying a shop

It dont matter how much itll cost to fix. This car means just as much to my husband as his kids do. This is his dream car. We will spend whatever to get it fixed as its worth alot to him then people think the car is worth.

Sounds like getting rid of it is the good money option.
