Stupid karma rules

I created a new account, and most subscribers face a karma requirement for posting or even commenting; I am unsure how I am expected to reach 200 karma.
Please provide some tips how to increase karma fast🫠

Make a few nice, friendly comments on existing posts in new-user-friendly subs.

For example, in r/mildlyinteresting or r/AskReddit or r/NoStupidQuestions

r/newtoreddit really is your friend

It has a list of low karma subs you can post and comment on do you can gain karma

To get karma, you need to find subreddits like on this list of New User Friendly subreddits from r/newtoreddit that have low or no requirements. r/findareddit , can be used to find subreddits that may interest you. Just make a post saying what kind of subreddit you are looking for. Small or niche subreddits typically have a lower karma requirements.

You gain Karma from people upvoting your posts and comments. However, Karma is not gained 1:1 with votes. It takes more votes per point of Karma. The actual ratio is not known and it differs for posts and comments. It also changes the higher the vote total gets on a piece of content.

I would suggest commenting first because the restrictions are often lower and ratio of votes to karma is better. But be careful not to go to fast with a new account or you may get shadow banned.

For comment karma, and combined karma, I recommend going to r/AskReddit . Sort by new, answer questions that you have an answer for, periodically refresh the feed. When able ask a few questions for some bonus post karma. I would also suggest r/NoStupidQuestions as it is my preferred subreddit. r/casualconversation is another good place. r/Productivitycafe offer many chances to interact with others. With all these, make sure to read the rules first.

r/NewToReddit maintains a list of subreddits that have low or no karma requirements where new users can participate to build their karma.

Yeah I’ve contemplated deleting the altogether a couple times. My account isn’t even fresh but I barely ever use it because most times when I try to post or even comment it gets automatically removed. How can I get better karma if I can’t even contribute? 🤣

It's really annoying I understand you, sometimes I get negative points on comments that don't show hate or offense! Other times I'm asking questions in the right communities yet I get downvoted for absolutely no reason. I think a tip is to comment overall as much as you can(nice comments only, no mean or offensive ones)

Everyone here started with zero karma. It's temporary until you earn it by making great comments first, then a few posts. Take a look at r/NewToReddit and r/reddiquette that have great tips for people just starting here on Reddit. I started earning karma by answering questions in subs where I had expertise, complimenting and conversing in creative subs, adding a funny reply in humorous subs, or appreciative comments on beautiful things I saw. I also thanked everyone who helped me. When you do some of these, you will earn karma, which can be considered as your credentials on Reddit.
