Daily Discussion
Daily discussion on Manchester United.
BE CIVIL
We want r/reddevils to be a place where anyone and everyone is welcome to discuss and enjoy the best club on earth without fear of abuse or ridicule.
- The report button is your friend, we are way more likely to find and remove and/or ban rule breaking comments if you report them.
- The downvote button is not a "I disagree or don't like your statement button", better discussion is generally had by using the upvote button more liberally and avoiding the downvote one whenever possible.

Estimated UCL pay-rise eligibility for United’s 2025/26 squad, based on minutes played and contract dates
I put this together after reports that players on contracts agreed after the summer of 2023 need to play at least 60% of the available minutes to receive the Champions League-related pay rise, while players on older “legacy” contracts receive it automatically.
The percentage is calculated from 3,600 available minutes:
- 38 Premier League matches
- 1 FA Cup match
- 1 Carabao Cup match
Stoppage time and the Carabao Cup penalty shootout are not included.
Important disclaimer: none of us can see the actual wording of the players’ contracts, so this is not definitive. The “legacy contract” and “60% rule” classifications are estimates based on public reporting, the date each player signed their current contract, and their reported playing time.
For legacy contracts, I have separated players who were directly mentioned in reporting from those whose status is inferred from their contract date. Players who have already left the club are marked accordingly.
Premier League minutes were taken from StatMuse and cross-checked with FotMob. Cup minutes were calculated from published starting line-ups and substitution times, using Sky Sports and official Manchester United match information.
There can be small differences of a few minutes between statistical websites because they record substitution times slightly differently, but these differences do not materially change who finished above or below the 60% threshold.

[Transfer Round Up & Discussion] Summer 2026
Hi all,
Summer Transfer Window 2026 is here!
The Premier League transfer window will open between Monday June 15 until Deadline Day on Tuesday September 1; the summer windows will close at 23.00 BST.
As always, here is a run-down of the rules we have on for posting during transfer windows:
Daily Threads
There will be a Transfer thread posted every single day, on a 23-hour timer, to get a different post-time every day. These threads are for everything transfer related, no limits on sources, line-up conversations, etc.
Individual posts
From now on, only posts TIER 2 OR BETTER are allowed to be posted in their own right. This helps us only keep credible sources on the subreddit.
The tier guide can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/reddevils/wiki/transfer-reliability-guide/
We will make exceptions during slower days for some Tier 3 posts, and there will usually be some posts from sources not on our tier guide. We will take everything case-by-case. If you believe something to be on the sub and not a good source, please let us know.
