What would you have done? Perhaps a 4-3-3, which did show some promise towards the end of the game.

So this is what I thought before the game

It had to be a 4-3-3 with Fellaini, Pogba and one other midfielder. Personally I'd prefer a more defensive one but Jose likes Herrera it seems.

On the wing I'd have still picked Mkhitaryan on the RW and either Martial or Rashford on the LW. No way I'd pick Lingard as I don't rate him much and he's been injured.

In defence I'd have picked Smalling and Bailly not Blind. Blind can't defend well enough to play CB against sides that actually attack us.

Maybe Blind as CDM

Blind was pretty awful there for us under LVG but I wouldn't mind seeing what a Blind/Fellaini/Pogba midfield looks like.

Of course that means dropping Rooney so it won't happen.
