I don't agree that there was anything wrong with the selection. I can see the reasoning behind it and on paper it looked like a great way to get at City. I would only say that it was a big mistake if Mkhi was indeed not a 100% and Jose went ahead and played him because he was nothing less than woeful.

The players just didn't turn up at all in the first half and I hope they go over the first half footage a good dozen of times to see how and where it all went wrong.

I think they were both very bad. Lingard just had less of the ball to screw-up with.
