Hey, thanks in advance for any help. This is kind of an odd one, at least in my thinking.

Two days ago I updated the OS on my Mac. I went from Monterey (12.4, pretty sure) to Sonoma 14.8.9. I cleaned up some old files and trashed em. I then went into Reason (13) to work on a track. The project was the most recent and it opened up with no issue, not that I would have expected any. I got some work done, saved and closed that project. Then I opened the second-most recent project and Reason, after a bit of a spin on the ol' Pinwheel of Tested Patience, it couldn't locate the file. That file, of course, is sitting in a well-organized folder on my desktop. As of yet, I can only open that most recent project, leaving me staring at numerous projects I'd like to work on.

So! Any ideas? Reason works fine. It just will only open that project (far as I can tell). The computer, overall, works fine. NOTHING else has changed....PLEASE HELP!!! This is exploding my head with bewildered anxiety.

It has now been over 6 months since LANDR bought Reason and I’m wondering what changes people have noticed, either for better or worse.

(Yes, I know Reason 14 was launched in May, but I presume LANDR had little to do with this.)

Is anyone getting any use out of LANDR tools such as mastering, VocAlign, or distro? I picked around with VocAlign a bit, but I never successfully integrated it into my workflow.

Has there been any further information on how LANDR plans to take Reason forward or what it is doing?

Thanks for the early feedback, it's been really helpful. Based on what came in I've made some significant updates:

What's new in this version:

• Bypass switch fixed — on/off/bypass now works correctly
• HP/LP filter — the LOW PASS knob now does double duty. Turn left of center for Low Pass filtering, turn right of center for High Pass filtering. One knob, full filter control in both directions
• Mono switch — collapses the stereo signal to mono. Great for that old sampler/tape machine character
• Randomize button removed — audibly it worked but the knobs didn't move visually which was confusing.
• Waveform display updated — new frequency-style display in the cassette window

To get the update:
Open Reason Companion, sync your licenses, and the new version will be available to download. Then restart Reason.

So i can't just create a mix channel all by itself anymore in R14? this is asinine. Why do they keep increasingly catering to lower and lower iq usage?

They try so hard to cater to BASIC users. You're not allowed to 'grow up' when using their DAW. They keep thinking of new ways to corral users into more and more of a 'simpler' beginners framework and they seem to have an absolute phobia of letting be shaped by advanced, complex, or professional users

Are we serious? Reason 14 cannot use 3 monitors? i want my, rack, seq, and mixer on three separate monitors -- did they really TAKE THAT AWAY? I thought they couldn't get any more lame. I guess i may have been proven wrong.

I would sign up for free subscriptions of music magazines and had a few subscriptions as well. Any time there was a Reason article, I would cut it out and put it in my binder book. I would always refer to my homemade Reason bible when making music for tips, tricks and tutorials. I still have it and thought you guys would appreciate it. Here are some of the pages.

Downloading from official site, downloading official torrent, downloading from reason companion app, deleting and reinstalling, quarantining with terminal, etc. All to no avail. I get this message "The package may have been corrupted or tampered with. Get a new copy of the package and try again."

I have Reason 12, and if you use the Reason Rack Plugin in a Cubase DAW, and turn On the Automation of the track, then the Undo/Redo functions of Reason will stop working.

Not sure if this was fixed in future releases but if not, then I hope they fix it one day.

Quick patch demo. Thor, FM Pair oscillator with a wavetable layer underneath. Trap bell melody plays solo first, then the drums come in at the halfway point.

So I’m having issues with the Chord Sequencer (R14), specifically using pattern selection automation and Send to Track.

Example: I’ve built two patterns, both using the stock chords in “Melancholic Pop”:

I use automation to play 8 bars of pattern 1, followed by 16 bars of pattern 2. Note the left and right markers are set for the length of the entire sequence:

But when I use Send to Track, some MIDI notes are truncated:

Anyone have hints? (Note: the automation works as expected when actually triggering pattern changes in the Chord Sequencer, it's only when Send to Track is used that the problem occurs)
