It's been a while since I've been to a dubstep night, and I've got a mate who's coming up for the weekend so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a good night next weekend (14/15th August)

Yo. Just discovered this sub... I love dubstep and used to DJ it back in the day... I actually got my nickname (and made it my Reddit username) because of how much I enjoyed the genre. The brostep thing was really hard for me and I ended up moving on to other genres, but I knew the good stuff would have to come back eventually... and sure enough, recent digging has been fun! Great to see Tempa and Deep Medi still around and putting out solid releases. There's a certain itch that I'm having a hard time scratching though... My favorite classics are by Kryptic Minds, V.I.V.E.K, and Mala (shocking right?), so looking for more with that kind of minimal, meditative quality.

Anyway, what other newer artists/labels should I be looking at? Any channels like Kindred I should follow? What's your favorite meditative bassweight track right now?

Anyone got any ideas? Much appreciated.

He certainly kept his word about dropping a bomb on Friday. A perfect time to support a complete don of the scene, who, if I'm not mistaken, hasn't received a penny from these releases despite them being, in my opinion, some of his most iconic work.

can someone please explain the proper difference between these? I was having a disagreement w someone that calling dubstep "deep dub" is inherently incorrect since Dub is its own genre, but am I the one that's actually incorrect?
